  1. The added bonus of Khagra’s Ravagers and the Crimson Court is that you are getting 4 heroes of varying levels for £25 as opposed to just one model for £17.
  2. On the topic of Stormcast in the Cursed City, there is the arrow quiver rumour engine below. Has what looks like the plume most Stormcast primes and heroes have. Also noticed that there’s still two very Chaos/StD rumour engines unsolved that go way, way back. I thought the shield might have been from Khagra’s’s Ravagers but it’s not. Any ideas what these could be?
  3. Yeah how have they not got possessed suits of armour but Thousand Sons have? At the very least a remake of the curseling as a massive armoured sorcerer-warrior would be incredible. Anyway there’s too many to name but off the top of my head I’ll say a Leafy Seadragon for the Idoneth and a flying tree-revs unit in the mold of Druanti for Sylvaneth.
  4. The body is very square and rigid compared to ogres or orruks, as if someone made it, so here’s hoping that’s further evidence for Gholem-kind. It’s shaping up to be an AoS version of the B.P.R.D at this rate with a Roger the Homunculus stand in. If we get an Idoneth Abe Sapien I’d die.
  5. I kinda hope it’s a mixture of the two. The underworlds warband makes me think of it being a caste system of vampire strains. So the smaller winged lesser-vampires and the purer elites etc. But I love everything undead and macabre so a death soup faction is more than okay.
  6. The two characters on the left have the slender canine legs similar to the rumour engine and what looks like hair that forms a wolf tail .
  7. Yeah I agree, could definitely see him being part of a wolf-like vampire strain as opposed to a seperate werewolf race.
  8. I don’t think it’s as binary as river = water themed. It’s more to do with the nature of rivers being both peaceful and serene, whilst at the same time having the destructive power to carve through rocks and wash away villages. We know there’s a lot of duality and symmetry with the Lumimeth. The sun and moon, Teclis and Tyrion, even Hysh itself for example. It’s the same with the temples. Wind can be both a gentle breeze on a wind chime and a raging hurricane. A cow and a fox have next to nothing to do with mountains and the wind. But cows are considered sacred in Hinduism and foxes are very commonly represented within Japanese Shinto, so as others have said, it could very well take inspiration from Eastern mythology again.
  9. They probably added the lens flare in post to obscure the model more. You can see there’s some outlining just below the middle of the fan/plume that doesn’t quite make sense.
  10. I may have completely imagined this, but I could have sworn someone mentioned a passage about vampires in the KO battle tome? It was in a thread a while back.
  11. I’d be surprised if they didn’t, WHQ is perfect for lockdowns and as a way to introduce partners or family who don’t play Warhammer. As is something like Warcry Catacombs, so they might be bringing stuff like this forward and delaying things like battletomes etc. I’m wondering whether The Wolf is going to be a Werewulf, or something else entirely. Vampires in classic literature are commonly associated with wolves, Dracula could transform into one even. It could also be an update or twist on the Varghulf or more bestial vampires. A few people have speculated that Nagash might be killed (again) or at least weakened somehow in BR: Teclis. If that comes out first, a wilder theory I had is that The Wolf could be a form of Nagash, in the same way that Sauron = The Necromancer and Saruman = Sharkey in the Scouring of the Shire.
  12. It could definitely be that way around too! I just figured the big guy fits the already revealed Vampire Lord aesthetic more than the one with two swords.
  13. It seems likely we will get expansions based around the districts of Ulfenkarn, with new heroes and enemies each time. I wouldn’t expect everything to be a part of Gravelords though, there might be some that are more closely linked to Nighthaunt or FEC as we have the Gheistgale and the Clot. It looks like we’re get a flying, lesser vampire unit and a big elite mace wielding unit for Soulblight going off the WHU warband.
  14. It did but this looks to be similar to Blackstone Fortress, in that there will be a core box and then multiple expansions over the next year or so. Not all the models have been released separately from Blackstone Fortress, just the firebrand cultists and the Chaos Lord. They all have rules in 40k, and the Chaos Space Marines got an update shortly afterwards though.
  15. Is there a world in which Tyrion is actually a seperate faction? I’m trying to get my head around the fact that once we get all four temples, all the Vanari and then Tyrion’s half, Lumineth could end up with a bigger range than Stormcast.
  16. As far as I’m aware, the heroes and most of the enemy units in the silver tower box were released separately. The Gaunt Summoner and Ogroid Thaumaturge were the same sculpts but the Tzaangors and Kairic acolytes were released as a multi pose kit. The caveat to all this is that the Blackstone Fortress stuff was pretty random in what was actually released separately. None of the heroes, and of the enemies it was just the Chaos cultists and the Chaos Lord (they did precede the recent update to the Chaos stuff though) Basically what I’m saying is you will probably get some models, in some form or another as separate releases, but no guarantee they will be the same sculpts. So if you really like the Cursed City stuff I’d reckon it’s safer to buy it rather than holding out for a potential seperate release.
  17. Tried to piece together some rumour engines. One thing to note, there is a lot of day and night iconography in the art, which suggests there might be variants of certain models. Could be that the people of Ulfenkarn are cursed during the night or something. Some of the locations also suggest: Gheistgale = Nighthaunt? The Clot = FEC (mentions carrion horrors) Corpse Gardens = Gravekeeper dude Hangmans Copse = mentions bats and Sylvaneth?
  18. It almost looks too small to be an ogre, but too big to be a dwarf, with the squat-ness of both. I honestly think it could be an Orruk.
  19. Wow I really only expected 3-4 units from this. There looks like a Lumimeth parallel to Syll’esske, and perhaps a generic mage character similar to Myari.
  20. Can we just appreciate the level of diversity in AoS, the difference between the Death stuff and Lumineth is night and day but both are appealing to such a broad range of people. The art for Cursed City is beautiful, the silhouettes of the new Lumineth look awesome and we still have the Hedonites, Soulblight and now DoK to come!
  21. Cursed City looks huge. On the website there are multiple models mentioned as Overlords, which might each have their own personal minions.
  22. If it wasn’t Space Marines I might have been tempted by that Kill Team box. The flayed ones are great.
  23. Guy on the left is the vamp hunter. You can see the hammer in the right hand, the stake loaded under the gun barrel and a medieval sword on his back.
  24. Vampires round out Death nicely, leaving only FEC really needing new models. Feels like the only major presence missing* from the mortal realms now is a flagship Duardin and Destruction faction. As @Neverchosen says, with the focus being on the Aelven pantheon for the rest of 2.0 it does feel as though the next edition will inevitably place a heavier focus on Destruction and perhaps whatever Grungni’s been up to. I do wonder whether Ironjawz will remain as the “protagonist” faction for orruks and they just revisit that aesthetic, or if something else entirely is coming. Lastly, as a massive fan of the quirkier Lumineth models, I really want to see them to see them do something similar with the Duardin (apologies in advance to anyone who vehemently disagrees with this! ) *I’m not including Malerion/ Umbraneth btw as they are essentially confirmed.
