  1. No problem. Thank you none the less!
  2. Hello, Does anyone know if there is a Blades of Khorne Discord or WhatsApp that I could get an invite to? I’ve been looking for one for quite a while but haven’t been able to find any. Thanks!
  3. Invocations aren't prayers but the warscroll says that they are summoned with one, so I think we still get the altar rerolls, but we have to pick and choose between blood blessings, warscroll prayers and judgements.
  4. Does this change what slaughterhost is the best idea to run? I think I might go Reapers even with more mortal lists for the defense against magic. Is there any use at all for the Flayed?
  5. Blood blessings not being at the start of the hero phase hurts quite a lot. I quite often have 2 bloodtithe at the start of my turn, so being able to bump that up to 3 was amazing. Dissappointing we can't do that now. The wrathmongers not changing is also really sad. I had my hopes up. Seeing as all good khorne lists were mostly slaves to darkness units, the 2 in 4 hurts, as well as the lack of good generals. At least my Manticore Lord got one game...
  6. On warhammer weekly it was explained how units of 6 oval bases will be fine for coherency. Haven't watched it yet but it could mean that MSCs will be fine. A couple of 3s could work well with the All Out Defence command ability to give them a 2+ save. With the heal prayer and rally, they could stick around for a long time.
  7. You might be right. The rule ends with the sentence : Each Blood Blessing of Khorne can only be chanted once per turn, regardless of how many PRIESTS know that prayer. So maybe they are one and the same - at the very least they are interchangable. Guess we're waiting for an FAQ. Watertight...
  8. The wording just says that they know the prayer, not that they can chant an additional one. The rules never let them chant an additional prayer. RAW I would say that they can't. RAI, I suppose we wait and hope for an FAQ?
  9. I'm not sure I completely understand how enhancements work, but if I'm right you can take an artefact, prayer, command triat unique enhancement etc. for every army and then take extra of one if you take the right battlation. If that is the case, the Soul-scryer casting heal on the leviadon would be powerful, especially with the upgrades to monsters. If we can only take one from the options then cloud of midnight trumps it every single time
  10. I think this eliminates blood boil spam. You cannot chant the same prayer more than once in the same hero phase, even with a different Priest. The way I read it, we'll get the judgements in addition to other prayers but we will have to choose between bless, enhancement/ blood blessings and blood boil/bind. A lot of the prayers seem to be on 5s. We get a big advantage there with our rerolls. The CP generation one and the 6+ ward are nice. Our prayer lore also got expanded but I'm not sure if I'll take any over what we already have other than curse. It just gives a unit a more extreme plague touched warband effect. Then again it is very short range. The 5+ ward generic artefact on a sectator is looking very good.
  11. Points will also be increasing across the board, so we will be able to fit fewer models into our armies. Hopefully the lack of battatalion will be enough to mean that lists don't change that much. It willtmake an already elite army even more elite, however. We might be struggling to hold objectives soon. Maybe the turtle will help with that?
  12. We're the last faction to get a faction focus before the new edition. Normally that space would be reserved for an important faction in the narrative / a new battletome. Maybe there is a chance? Probably a little hopeful.
  13. Interested to see if they'll hint at something when they do they're faction focus for Khorne. It probably won't be much, but maybe they'll give us a hint about the new battletome?
  14. Playing without slaughterpriest would really change the way we play the army. I think that would hit us very hard seeing as they are a staple in almost all khorne lists. Saying that, we are the strongest prayer army in the game so if there is even more emphasis put on prayers, we might have a way to pull ahead there.
  15. From what I've seen, deepkin are going to be loving AoS 3 (assuming similar level of rules come the new battletome). Coherency doesn't effect us (though RIP namarti) and it will be easier to deepstrike with the soulscryer. The Leviadon and Eidolon will benefit lots from their respective bonusses as well. MSU eels are going to be great.
  16. Flesh hounds might be our best screen now. 100 for five bodies that can be strung out. Wrathmongers might work in 10s but not skullreapers. Also, there seems to be a rumor that prayers will be limited to one a turn. That might hurt depending if judgement are roped into the limit of 1. Chaos spawn for screening teleports look good but bloodreavers are definitly out. The skulls will have a harder time as well. With increased MSU in other armies insensate rage thirsters are going to be loving life.
  17. Ah, that makes sense. That's actually a really good idea. I might have to do that.
  18. Problem is he is locked into Ionrach, so he won't gain the extra resurection from Morphann. He also can't be included in the battalion so he is stuck at resurecting D3 models. However, there is the small matter of the crab. I'm taking him. He could be 300 points and I'd still take him. All hail the crab!
  19. Well at least Lotann is no longer the worst hero in the book!
  20. Here you go. Hopefully there will be some more leaks to come. Yeah you're right. I'm just so tired of khorne being low-tier at this I'm just assuming everything is going to be a bad change :P. I completely agree about the Chaos Knights. They are 100% our best source of damage output. Do you use the Knights of Chaos CA as well as killing frenzy or is it as a way to take less heroes like in your list that you posted a while back?
  21. Yeah, you're right. I suppose what I was getting at is that there will need to be some significant other rules (by no means unlikely) to stop the game becoming a game of shooting and castling (especially seeing as you might be able to win now without claiming objectives, you're welcome KO). You are right though, we do need to wait and see. I'm honestly really excited for a new edition right now.
  22. So now that we have some of the information for AoS 3, I'm honestly really worried. Charge reactions nerf us so badly. +1 save vs us with no rend, shooting us as we charge are both really bad, not to mention the ability to move d6" away. I think that these changes will make it very hard for us going into AoS 3. To add insult to injury, we will no longer have battlations. Dark Feast (especially in the Archaon build), Gore Pilgrims, Tyrannts of Blood. All gone. I really don't like the sound of the new rules for our army. (Overall, however, I don't think that it is shaping up to be too bad of a rule set, it is just dispropotionally affecting lower tier melee oriented armies.)
  23. Yeah, Broken Realms was very dissappointing for Fyreslayers. I really want to play my Fyreslayers, but I can't bring myself to while the faction is so small. The fact that they nerfed the Grimwrath and didn't nerf Hearthguard while buffing Vulkites is, again, dissappointing. I honestly don't know what their goals were with the Fyreslayers changes.
  24. Yeah, that was what was used most of the time. The great thing about the warshrine is that the buffs are so flexible. You can adapt to almost every situation. I think that book is in a very sad position, especially due to the fact that our best lists don't really use any key pieces in our own book. The Archaon list as discussed above is our best list, and yet over half of it is made up of units of from the S2D book. To take that to the next level, Khorne list won in Australia quite recently with all S2D units (again using Archaon). A few people that I know have even held off from starting the army because of its weak power. I suppose all we can do is hope for a nerf to shooting in AoS 3 and some love from Broken Realms. Even if he can be allied (due to points) I think that he might lose a lot of his value. Even if his signature rule stays, he will go up in points, most likely too expensive to justify taking him. He won't even be able to benifit from blood tithe. (Look at the price tag as well £95 here in Britain). An unlikely possibility that I had thought about, is that Be'lakor's ultimate goal is to achieve the blessing of all of the gods (ie get to Archaons level). Seeing as both of the subjects of the two books have achieved their goals, might we see Be'lakor get back to the level he started at? If so, he might have all of the god keywords like Archaon. I really hope that this does happen, even if it is exceptionally unlikely.
  25. Khorne Archoan is probably our best build right now. Morten Winkle has been having great success with Khorne Archaon on TTS, placing 4th and 8th in two big tournaments with this list: It looks really fun to play and can obviously be very successful. I would say that the Unfettered Fury thirster is essential. It effectivly gives Archaos retreat and charge, meaning that he can't be tied up. He didn't have easy matchups either (Seraphon Fangs, Lumineth Syar).
