Wait, so this brings up a question I had when I received my GHB 2021. The Core Rules has 750, 1000, 1500 and 2000 (even 3000) but the GHB 2021 only shows 1000 and 2000. Could someone clarify what happened in-between? As for the number of battlelines, I use Warscroll Builder and everything seems legit.

Yeah, 2battleilines till 1999k is the norm, if you go to a tournament be mindful and read the rules.

An army with one hero and two units could look complete but be poor in design. The Kruleboyz is an incomplete army with a lot of heroes to make an illusion of a big release. This army is a trap in terms of design.

Where is the trap? I don't get it

    Hi again Ossiarch generals,

Ive been trying to figure out the models I should buy for my 1.5k list of Mortis Preatorians. Here's my sample list:

    Allegiance: Ossiarch Bonereapers
    - Legion: Mortis Praetorians
    - Grand Strategy:
    - Triumphs:
    Arch-Kavalos Zandtos (205)
Katakros, Mortarch of the Necropolis (470)
    - General
    Mortisan Soulmason (140)
    20 x Mortek Guard (280)
    - Nadirite Blade and Shield
    - Reinforced x 1
    5 x Kavalos Deathriders (190)
    - Nadirite Blade and Shield
    Mortek Crawler (215)

    Total: 1500 / 1500
    Reinforced Units: 1 / 3
    Allies: 0 / 300
    Wounds: 80
    Drops: 6

Do you have any advice on if I should take a Mortek Crawler or a Gothizzar Harvester? I had the Gothizzar in first for the healing and monster keyword but with Katakros in, maybe it's overkill for healing? What do you guys think?

It's never an overkill, go with harvester, crawlers are not that great in this Ed.

On the other side the other squig battleline we have cost almost as much and although they are on 25 mm base they don't feel as useful as Hoppers.

With a run they can move a big distance so they don't need to get into combat to do their MW, and can then do another flyby the next turn for more MW. On heroes and units with a good save that is really useful, since the rend 1 that our units have is easy to counter with all out defence so there is a risk that they do low damage on normal attacks.

    Gloom.pdf

I want to play that list but I'm open to tips!

That Squig Hoppers don't doing MWs when they run or retreat is one of the most painful nerfs we received. I don't recommend using them

Gsg were too powerful with that ability, let others players have a chance too win against us!😄

In the fanta-AoS: "what's the next battletome?", we could benefit from one in the next 4/5 months. We'll see.

So today I had my first game in 3.0 when I played a 1500 points game against a Cities of Sigmar army (Living City). I used 2 Loon Boss on Manglers, 2 Fungoid Shamans, 1 unit of Squig Hoppers, 2 unit of Squig Herd, 1 unit of Boingrots and a unit of Snufflers (all min. Sized units).

He had Yndrasta, 1 mage, a hero on gryphon and a lot of foot soldiers. In the beginning he killed a lot of my units, but thanks to my mobility, that I had 2 monsters and a nice hand of Gork-spell I could get the win by the fourth battlerosin (I was leading by 8 points then and I would have one monster alive to get 3 points from my battle tactics). I also was lucky with the moon, since it's position made it possible to run and chrage twice with my squig hoppers.

    Some reflections:

    * Yndrasta is really really good, and really hard to kill. Best is to avoid her or make her fight only chaff units. For 300 points and all the buffs she gives she should be quite common in many order armies in the future.

*Squig Hoppers mobility and MW on the fly by almost killed a 13 wound hero by themself, but that they are minimum 10 is suboptimal with their range and 32 mm base. Since they are one of few good ways to get MW in a Squig army I will probably use more units of them in other games.

*I don't know if Jaws of Mork is that good anymore. I rolled pretty average on my movement so I didn't need the reroll, and except for that I really don't se the point of JOM when I can get a better artifact and command ability if I don't take it. However, I guess it is a nice back up to be able to reroll movement if you roll bad.

thursday I will try gloomspite for the first time at 1500pt, I would like to play a mix between trolls and squigs but I feel short in points; in any case how did the boingrots and manglers in your game?

only time will tell but the reality is simply that each edition there will be a new wave of Stormcast and there will of course be a saturation point

That's was my personal breaking point with the faction and i sold them. Also some factions still have models from early '00 and other redone after 5 years..ok.

  8. Hey, I'm playing around this mixed list, can you help me improve it?

I also want to build one "competitive" list(as much as I can) with Kragnos, you have tested him with gloomspite, with good results?

    Allegiance: Gloomspite Gitz
    - Option: Glogg's Megamob
    - Grand Strategy:
    - Triumphs:

    Leaders
    Dankhold Troggboss (250)
    - General
    Loonboss on Mangler Squigs (310)
Loonboss on Giant Cave Squig (110)
    - Moon-cutta
    Fungoid Cave-Shaman (95)

    Battleline
    3 x Rockgut Troggoths (145)
    3 x Rockgut Troggoths (145)
    3 x Rockgut Troggoths (145)

    Units
    10 x Boingrot Bounderz (210)
    - Reinforced x 1

    Behemoths
    Colossal Squig (300)
    Mangler Squigs (275)

    Total: 1985 / 2000
    Reinforced Units: 1 / 4
    Allies: 0 / 400
    Wounds: 118

They chopped down his screamers but did little against Archaon, they were more a road bump, which worked!

I won the game, but tzeentch is tricky, I had 2 chances to cast hand of dust, 3rd and 5th battle round, both instant dispelled, the last 2 rounds was basically Archaon v nagash, I had 10 mortek left he had a blue scribe, neither were playing a part, he fluffed his king slayer attacks bottom of the 4th, both rolled 1 for priority which I kept, threw everything into him, leaving him on 3 wounds, he failed his saves, but got slayer of kings this time, i fluffed the roll for mortal contract, which would have been hilarious.

I’ll take the win, it played out how I wanted it too even if I lost bone daddy.
I really didn’t expect it to last 5 full rounds.

Congratulation, tzeentch+archy is my nemesis, would you change something of your list?
There is a list that you would play against tzeentch+archaon without nagash?

I've been toying with the idea of a small bonereapers force as a second army, however is there a viable way of running them that isn't loads of Mortek? I know they arent in a great place this edition, but I've always liked the models

Well, yeah, no more 80mortek but 40 on average.

Some new lists use kavalosx5, and harvesters, also stalkers and morghasts are a little bit used now.

In general it's a cheap army especially if you buy a good competitive 2klist.

My friend surprised me by dropping teclis on the table last night, he conceded turn 2 after I took out his blob of wardens and teclis 😀

    I was running Null Myriad with;

    Nagash

liege (general with the legion stuff)

    2 Archai

    3 stalkers

    5 death riders

    10 mortek

    10 mortek

i dont think I’m getting the same result against Archaon tonight but it should be interesting all the same.

Archai with helberds?Let me know how goesagainst archaon

Same 😄, looking at warcom daily if they said something about bolt thrower already

Could be the perfect replacement for squig-gobba if it will have -1 to rend.

Also, there are some kind of rumors for troggoth hag and colossal squig, like new models for them?

My most recent game was SoB vs S2D, turn 2 I had 2 mega-gargants in combat with Archaon, 1 gatebreaker alone killed him outright without the other ever attacking.

The following turn, 30 marauders went into a cursed mega-gargant (with a ward save) and it was dead after rolling 1/2 the dice.

Gotrek can easily kill a MG in a single activation, let alone 2

You need to play against tzeentch + archaon, in S2D archaon lose the over the top support and it's possible to kill him.

Sorry guys if I insist on this point.
