  1. I'd buy a Bonereapers themed Cursed City type game. I would buy the Shyish out of it!
  2. Thank you. I've seen a few people swear by that configuration, so your experience with them helps nuance the choice a bit. I know it's under-powered, but I've been thinking about building around Mortis Praetorian's -1 bravery aura, which would require a unit of Morghasts, Vokmortian, and Bone-Tithe Shrieker.
  3. Looking for someone US based willing to sell the campaign book and token sheet from the Feast of Bones box. Gently used items are perfectly fine. Edit: Found a copy!
  4. Liber Necris should be required reading for Death players.
  5. If it's vampire heavy infantry, should be an easy conversion.
  6. Legions of Nagash: undead can be from any culture throughout the long history of the Mortal Realms. Also, Nagash can't be everywhere at all times, so willful undead just do what they want anyway when he isn't paying attention to them. That being said, Nagash seems to be pretty good about putting non-Nighthaunt in roles that are particularly suited to their desires and talents. If you're undead, he's not a terrible boss and just wants you to give him the credit he's due as the embodiment of that thing which gives you unlife. I think people chaff under Nagash because GW keeps shoving his supreme dominion in our faces every time he's mentioned, but his power is far from absolute and I don't think his plan of wiping intelligence from the realms is what he really wants at the end of the day. So join LoN, send Nagash an appreciation card, and let the good work begin.
  7. Put that unit of Skeletons up to 40, for sure. Take the points out of the Dire Wolves, 5 of each should be fine.
  8. So a better idea in lower point games, if at all.
  9. I'd like to know more about what people think about giving a Wight King the Dark Acolyte command trait. Is it worth it?
  10. I've decided to start my army with a Vampire, Necromancer, 20 Skellies and 5 (Fenrisian) dire wolves, then lean into Outrider based Blood Knights when I start moving toward 1k. I'm happy with the conversion ideas I detailed above, and I'll be adding morion helms to the arsenal, to give my army that conquistador/age of sail feel. Looking forward to the Chainghast conversions in the near future (Outrider box has plenty of pistols).
  11. The idea of running a Deathrattle army is growing on me. My main problem, circumvented with Vampirates, is how GW undead are armed and armored. I just read in LoN where they make of point of Wight Kings having dedicated smiths. Fire those smiths, 'cause those rusty blades aren't going to cut it. Fire the Necromancer too. If I was a Wight King my troops wouldn't be let out the door without the proper equipment, let alone myself. I love Gothic Horror, but someone needs to send 'round the cleaners. I've put a lot of thought into it and I think Freeguild is the best faction for me to borrow from. It's a shame that we don't have Empire knights anymore, or the General and Standard Bearer kit, but I think I can make due with some skulls and bony hands for the following: --- Wight King - Outrider w/ vampire sword, Freeguild shield (unless I can find that Empire General kit) Skeleton Warriors - Freeguild Company Grave Guard - Freeguild Greatswords Black Knights - Outriders w/ Freeguild spears and shields Necromancer - Collegiate Arcanum Death Wizard --- I'm an old hand at conversion work, so there'll be a lot of work drilling the heads out of their helmets. I'm looking forward to it. P.S. You might ask why I'm not using skeleton horses (outside of convenience), my excuse is husbandry is a hobby of the gentry and just because you're dead doesn't mean you can't breed a mean pale horse for your spare time. What else are you going to do as an unsleeping skeleton, go to fancy dinner parties?
  12. I'm not in a huge hurry, so I can wait and see.
