  1. So Sons of Behemat has no named character ? Damn I was waiting for a surprise announcements. Well I guess it will be a pretty limited army. I'm wondering if they will expand the line one day. Lot of things to do with Gargants in terms of crazy design etc...
  2. Probably Gargant for the 23rd option no ?
  3. Steampunk Vampires ๐Ÿ˜ Let me dream ok !?
  4. Yeah I wonder what it means for the future of those LoN. At this point it would be pointless to update the Battletome ๐Ÿค” But that's good news for Vampires if it's true ! I just hope they are going to get the Nighthaunt/Gitz treatment with tons of cool new models for them
  5. Well yeah Ossiarch are still pretty new. But we had Nighthaunt and Ossiarch pretty close to each other so who knows ? I agree that Lumineth are the "Order" quota. For Destruction, as much as I'm excited for Sons of Behemeat, counting them as a brand new army like Lumineth and Ossiarch is ... painful to say ๐Ÿ˜ข I still hope for a real complete new addition for Destruction 100% AoS. For Chaos ... I don't know. Thanks to Warcry they got so much new content to play with x) It's hard to imagine a space for a brand new army in their alliance ... but who knows, chaos aelves / chaos stormcast or other thing can quickly happen
  6. I guess it's because of the Nighthaunt pattern. They were listed in "Legions of Nagash" and became a thing on their own later. And Rumor Engines "seems" to point towards potential new Vampires miniatures ? More like speculation than actual rumors tho. But if the Death Alliance is going to have another army I would bet on either : Soulblight or maybe Vampire Coast ?
  7. A full soulblight faction would be SO DOPE ! AoS vampires ๐Ÿ˜ต
  8. Finally !!!! And the Aelves go mooh mooh !!
  9. A complete new concept for the Destruction would be great tho. Cause besides recycling old concepts and expanding some areas it's just Fantasy 2.0 for this Alliance (I hope Classic gobbos and orcs stay in the void)
  10. I'm part of those who think that their policy seems to push new armies rather than adding new range of models for actual armies. I would bet it's definitely more profitable than trying to satisfied players of a specific faction
  11. I still think they can do both and hopefully will not end that soon. It would be interesting to know if updating a faction is worth more than adding a brand new army financially speaking. Cause new armies would bring new players (a friend of mine will start AoS because of Lumineth). But I agree, as a Death player I would love to have a huge expansion for Fleash Eater and Nighthaunt.
  12. @Overread I agree with your realistic points but just hope that this golden age of exciting and new things in AoS will still last for a few years more until it reach that "limit" and end like Fantasy (7th/8th edition) doing mostly the same over and over again
  13. That's a pretty pessimistic statement right there ๐Ÿ˜• In my humble opinion, I think comparing AoS to Fantasy/40K patterns is not that relevant : 1) Fantasy choices and management led to the destruction of the world. They were multiple reasons brought to the table such as : Commercial failure, copyright problems and a limited world to expand and build upon. I think GW are not the same since Fantasy. They know now that having an IP and adding a couple units (and dumb ones lol) each editions after YEARS of waiting, is just not exciting and interesting. It's just some kind of "more of the same" boring cycle. Yay we got flying chariot for High Elves after 6 years ... woohoo ๐Ÿ˜ข. With their new aggresive communication model AND this brand new world to build and expand, it's just a gift for them, to be able to add new factions after new factions without creating "lore" problems or stereotypes. Building the hype through videos and throwing new models and concepts that sells SUPER well (I'm betting Lumineth will be a HUGE success). And I think they will continue to do the exact opposite of what Fantasy used to do. Generation evolves and the market too. With the actual generation staying "passive" = dead game. Card games / Video games (even SINGLEPLAYER games) are trying to keep the playerbase active with regular updates. This fascination of trying to stay "fresh" is something really important these days and I think that adding brand new armies are part of that. 2) I think 40K and Fantasy had a deeper problem. GW needed to expand a universe with foundations built during the 80's with a completely different mentality and teams. I can understand why an "Araby" faction made of arabic soldiers fighting alongside Djinns on flying carpets with camel and elephants, or a chinese/japanese type of factions with samourais and ninjas, will not interest a lot of ppl and even the design team. Fantasy had limits, and even if GW could have pushed some fantasy concepts and ignored "grounded" factions it would have been weird. My point is : Warhammer Fantasy (and by certain extend 40K) was built durint a completely different era and with the policy of keeping things canon it would have been complicated to push certain things as "new" without checking what was actually possible. I think AoS is a completely different beast, it's more of a "modern" game, and each hint can become easily a thing since the limits are not that well established in this world. I'm not confronting our opinions just giving mines and why I disagree that "everything seems not that much possible because of the past.." AoS created a different era for the universe and GW, and so far we have pretty much, one or more new factions each year. And even if some ppl would find that silly, I hope they keep doing that. Adding fresh things regularly, adapting their teased/hinted factions and fleshed them out to become real thing ! I don't mind if in 10 years we end up with 40 new armies who cares as long as the game is successful and is hype ๐Ÿ˜„ We have 4 (!!) Grand Alliances and some of them are really lacking content compare to other stuff. GW seems ready and apt of adding whatever is asked/requested by the community (hell I want to see some kind of Vampire Coast in that game one day), so I have faith that we might see every rumors one day
  14. "Malerions "return" and new DoK Stuff will most propably be the same release. I wouldnยดt wonder if gw would try to regroup some armies to prevent another faction bloat like AoS 1.0 suffered. This makes me really wonder about a Dwarven Reunion" Would be weird to do that. One of the strenght of AoS is the "cut to expand" way of thinking. Taking parts and some themes from an old army and expand the lore / flavor / model range to make his own faction. It's pretty cool. I actually think the opposite of your point. "Bundle" Faction are the most boring thing. Sometimes it makes sense (Ogors Mawtribes / Orruk Warclans) and sometimes it's just a lazy move, mostly temporary waiting for the right moment to be expanded in their own thing (Cities of Sigmar / Legions of Nagash). I can understand being afraid of the bloat of armies but I actually never felt that (not a professional player tho) and merging some armies together would be just uninteresting and would feel just like Fantasy 2.0 with HUGE army. All the dwarves together sounds pretty bad (If you are talking about Khara and Fyre etc...) same for DoK. They have enough to be sustained on their own imo. The only thing that I'm not convinced being an army on their own is the next Sons of Behemat. Sounds pretty weak to make them a whole army.
  15. Ok so if I summarize all the rumors / hints : - Kurnothi as a new Wood Elves army - Malerion bringing his Emoneth/Shadowneth from Ulgu. - A new dwarf army with the return of Grugni (Stone Dwarfs ?) - Sky / Pirates Gobbos, nemesis of the Kharadron (?) - A new Vampire army with Soulblight. - Daughters of Khaine / Slannesh new battletomes ? That's it ?
  16. Hi everyone ! Kinda new here ! I had two questions about rumors and potential news : 1) Anyone can summarize most of the rumors / leaks and potential hints at the moment ? It's pretty tough to follow the new things since everything seems to go fast ... The only thing I get is that Malerion is building his own army with another variation of Aelves (Shadowneth ?). But besides that what was teased the last couple years ? 2) After Lumineth and Sons of Behemat do we have an idea on "What's Next ?" ๐Ÿ˜€ Going for a third edition ? Some reworked Battletome ? Another army by the end of the year ? I agree and disagree. I consider myself as a pure casual client in AoS. I love the Lore and the Miniatures and play sometimes with my friends. And as an old Fantasy Battle player/fan.... updating armies for years with just one or two new models/concepts for each edition is super boring. GW seems to have changed that policy even in terms of communication. But what got me in AoS is the feeling of having a new world to discover, constantly evolving with new armies and races behind the corner. It's exciting. It's fresh. I even bought Battletomes for factions I'm not even going to play with, just for the lore and the illustrations. It reminds me the good old days when I was kid discovering Battle. Don't get met wrong, I agree about the need for certain armies to bring new range of models and update some of their concepts. I still think Seraphon need to be AoS-ed (Skaven and Beasts of Chaos too) with new crazy models. And Fyreslayers are definitely pretty meh with their actual line of product, feeling kinda same-ish. But I hope Games Worskhop are not going to stop bringing variety and new armies to the game. And if some of them become redundant, merge them togetger like Orruks or Ogors Sorry for this long message
