  1. That's what I've got my fingers crossed for, and it kind of makes sense since the overlap between 40k and AoS chaos is in the daemons. I hoped right in 40k with Death Guard, my plan being to have a shared Nurgle daemon portion between some mortals in 40k and AoS. Still waiting to see what comes out on the daemon side before pulling the trigger on the AoS and Daemon side in general. It's not all bad, while I'm waiting, I've decided to go ahead and build my Death army, specifically Nighthaunt with Soulblight allies, while I wait. I guess all the waiting is easier on newer people to AoS like me who have other stuff to build up rather than people with in place armies who want something news. I also started a Kharadron Overlords army, so 2017 has been pretty good to me. Heck I've still got Shadespire in the queue(it lost to coin toss to Company of Iron for the "buy right now"). Yeah if you're focused on AoS only, 2017 was a little front loaded(or slow entirely if you're focused on a specific faction), but GW has been a very big company this year, even on the AoS front, though perhaps not in everyones specific quadrant of happiness.
  2. Obviously armor for the Cthulu Sisters of Battle.
  3. It's actually going to be a line of Stormcast on horseback.
  4. The Nighthaunt Cairnwraith and Tomb Banshee are both listed at 32mm, but the pictures on the warscrolls look much more like 25mm(I have mine based at 25mm and it looks spot on) and it looks like the Tormented Spirits Allies box is coming with a 25mm for the Cairn Wraith(not to mention they're both pretty svelte models that would look ridiculous on 32mm). So if @The Stronghold or anyone else with write access would update it, that'd be great.
  5. Outside of new armies, have their been any rumors of "Battleforce" boxes or something similar for the holiday season? Or are the Firestorm great cities boxes this years big boxes?
  6. While I'm glad each of these guys aren't going to be a new hero, I wouldn't mind the leaders being characters.
  7. I hope that's true. I hate having to mentally add $5 to old kits when I'm windows shopping because I know I'll need to order bases too. It also sucks that the supply of bases has all but dried up in all my local B&M stores(I think they're all web exclusive now?), so I have to order from GW.
  8. In the spirit of getting us back on rumor track and going back to Nurgle discussions earlier, do we have any Nurgle rumors at all. Deathguard is wrapping up this week for the mortal Nurgle side of 40k, so if more Nurgle is coming there's either AoS, which has seen a little with Blightwar that had a new allegiance ability and a new character. We've got an embarrassing Great Unclean One, especially compared to the new new Lord of Change and the Bloodthirsters. Current beasts of Nurgle are old and don't even show up on the AoS site via browsing(still searchable), but the new Nurgle hero in Blightwar has some synergy with them, so perhaps a good candidate for a new release. AoS and 40k both got Tzaangors with Tzeench, so perhaps there's a chance of a more fanstasy friendly version of Poxwalkers to provide mortal Nurgle some new light infantry in AoS?
  9. Isn't the current batch of Death Guard up for preorder the last? Did the Tzeentch stuff for AoS come out along side or right after the Thousand Sons release, or was there a break?
  10. I wouldn't mind the many tiny factions so much if they weren't all hampered by all the battleline-if stuff so you can't even put together a grand alliance mishmash of small factions due to lack of battleline. If you want to have all high elfs, I think your only option is Reavers, which are now only sold in Spire of Dawn. Allies don't help if you don't have the troop choices to build a core army to add allies too. I'm working on a Nighthaunt army, but it's going to be spamming a lot hexwraiths and spirit hosts for the 1600 point core of a 2000 point army before allies, so it might stay at 1000 points. Its quite annoying to look at an some units and say "These look neat and I would like to buy them to be the center of my army" only to realize that they're only battle line when taken in a not really viable army so you end up not buying the models. I just want some kind of unit I can add in for a little variety, like some kind of light infantry unit of ghosts. At this point I'd just be happy to get skeletons as an ally. Sorry I'm ranting, but I've really wanted to give GW some cash for a ghost army for a year now, but they're not making it easy.
  11. It's clearly either Cthulu Elves or plastic Sisters of Battle depending on which group of fans believe the hardest.
  12. I completely forgot about the heralds. Didn't we get confirmation that the Death one will have the Nighthaunt keyword? Looking forward to kicking some cairn wraiths to the curb to make room for that guy in my Night haunt army.
  13. Isn't Firestorm technically a campaign book(at least along side a box of campaign stuff)?
  14. Looking at today's rumor engine, it obvious that the new elf faction will be canister based.
  15. I would have prefered $49.99 US, but I guess $60 is a better than the $70 I had heard(maybe I heard from Canadians?). Still not sure if it's an instabuy for me. I guess it'll come down to the price of the skeleton expansion for me.
  16. They actually still show up(and available to order) if you search for them(at least in the US store). https://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/Vampire-Counts-Blood-Knights There seem to be a few like that such as the Bat Swarm and Beast of Nurgle(though these are still navigable via the 40k side, the separate AoS version with warscroll is only available via search).
  17. I don't have same oversaturation fatigue with Nurgle as I do Khorne. Now that I've I've got my Kharadron Overlords started, I may start a Nurgle army next for AoS. I've already started Deathguard for 40k with the Dark Imperium box and I'm sure my army will include daemons soon enough and I might start swapping the daemons back and forth and even get some rotbringers. I really like the Glotkin.
  18. I don't know where that screen shot came from, but I know in the MWG codex review, that was the picture they showed when they were talking about the beasts of Nurgle.
  19. I'm sure those dice area appropriate for Nurgle followers in any universe.
  20. Nice. Trolls can definitely ally with Moonclan in the new GHB. In fact it was my owning some Rockgut Troggoths that got me wanting to build a Moonclan army. I had gotten them just to paint but I decided I wanted to get them to table and gobblins seemed the best fit for them.
  21. No, I actually haven't looked at any of the FW stuff. Anything good there?
  22. I'm about to start a Moonclan Grot army. I'm feeling pretty good about the basic Grots and the Fanatics as they're all plastic and reboxed on round bases already. But if I'm not mistaken the Cave Squigs and Squig Hoppers are some pretty old kits. Have there been anything even approaching a rumor that we'll see new ones?
  23. It will be a Herald of Cows, in it's own Herald of Cows faction and will only be able to be taken as allies by Brayherd and not Warherd or other Chaos factions.
  24. Nice. I'm going to pick up the 40k starter this weekend to get into 40k with some death guard which I'm sure will eventually grow to include nurgle daemons and inevitably spill over into AoS for me.
