  1. The whole point of USRs is that you aren't flipping back and forth. The same rule term/keyword allows you to know what somethign does no matter what faction or warscroll it is seen in. As it stands, abilities that are pretty much the same ahve minor changes and different wording, so that requires reading it out, sometimes debate, flipping through to see how it interacts with the core rules, etc. This goes away if you say something like 'my unit has scout' and your opponent knows thats the same rule as seen in every other army.
  2. Yup, a new term that I hope will be used for all after-saves and give some cohesion and uniformity. Its a term from Warhammer Fantasy and seems like it will work the same way back then. They're different (so far) from 40K Invulns in that they are taken after armour saves where Invulns just limit how much your save can be reduced.
  3. I'm hoping the sleeker cavalry rumours are true and hoping even more for some kind of flying drake cav. About pegasus size would be ideal!
  4. Liberator-equivalent with spears coming doesn't mean Liberators with hammers are going anywhere. You NEED to by none of this. You also have no idea whether older units are getting reworked or not.
  5. This is true, they mentioned in the stream that even thunderstrike armour only allows them to make it through the chaos MOST of the time.
  6. ***BR: Teclis spoilers*** With what happened in BR: Teclis and Nagash being incapacitated/laid low/whatever, it seems to me like Grungni retreiving Valaya is a real possibility as he 'ate' her in the End Times. Also, with a 6 stories of Grombrindol coming out at one a month starting in January, June's should be something really tasty. My money is on Grungni restoring Valaya (or at least officially starting the process) and a new duardin race coming out as a faction. With no Realmgates in Chamon anymore, perhaps that can be the new race's thing, being able to craft rune-portals or sthing like that. Way back at the beginning of AoS there was the Silverway discovered by the Stormcast, somrthing very like a Realmgate made by the duardin to transport themselves to their city. I would be crazy happy with Valkyrie warrior women as a unit featured in a re-done duardin range!
  7. There have been many posts mentioning that this is likely a stop-gap before being updated in the actual battletome.
  8. You're absolutely right, and now look at what people are demanding. Doing it once makes it so everyone can demand they axe the army that beat them last Saturday or didn't let them stack command abilities. I didn't read anyone saying the meaning of NPE was hidden, what I'm seeing is people saying someone's NPE has no right to dictate the game for everyone else.
  9. Redesigning a range because some players don't like to play against them would be absurd. If they start with that, some group or other would always come out with not liking the new style. There would be no winning. A player can ask their friends to play something else or give them more points if they really think it is a problem. If they enter a tournament (where they cannot do that), then they have no excuse for expecting people to only play their preferred armies to face. Honestly, the biggest NPE for me (and I hate how widely that term is being used nowadays) is people labelling anything they don't like as NPE. You not being psyched about everything that happens is not a negative play experience, its playing a game. Next thing you know people will say losing their queen in chess is and NPE so they should redesign the game.
  10. The old book + Broken Realms Teclis will = the new book.
  11. In Blood of the Old World Gotrek also sees a procession of priestesses of Teclis, so they definitely worship them as gods.
  12. I'd like to see this be the case. The bases look really big, but I can't tell if that's the case or the models just make it look that way. I'm happy so long as they're different than the Hellstriders, that way there's a reason they look different. Can't wait to get my hands on the Slickblades!
  13. Good to see that any time people express understanding that supply chain issues are a thing or that the release schedule has to be rearranged every time the UK's COVID response necessitates it, people jump on them with the above garbage. What a well thought out reaction. The advent calendar had to have been planned in November and was carried out all of December. In that time, the changing messages from their government have made it difficult to plan anything. Their recent annoucement let us know they have to extend their releases to twice as long for a while. If they planned on showing what the advent models were and banked on releasing them a month and a half later, that is not three months. If it was two months out initially, its now around four. I understand people are disappointed they didn't get to see pictures of more toys (I know I am), but we really need to manage expectations a little more in this community. They could very well have decided that it is now too early to show these models given the extended release date, we have no way of knowing.
  14. Hi everyone, I love the lore behind the Sacrosanct Chambers and have been happily playing it for a while now. I recently picked up my Warrior Chambers from my parents’ attic and found myself wondering how they do in the current environment. I know Liberators aren’t as good as Sequitors, but they are cheaper and seem like they are still good objective holders. Does anyone have any recent experience or thoughts on Warrior Chamber-centred armies? Thanks in advance!
  15. I was extremely disappointed with this half-hearted attempt at an article. 250 words of 'You know those ruins? They used to be buildings'. I wouldn't be angry if they have to push the release back because of Covid 19, but just tell us that's whats going on. They did so with Sylvaneth and people appreciated knowing. EDIT With the email it makes a lot more sense. I have friends working for GW and I'm happy they'll get to stay home for a couple of weeks. The hasty feel to the article is likely due to their scramble to reassess the timeline of releases.

  17. I keep refreshing to see if anyone has posted anything and then realised that I could be the one to do so haha. I’m excited at the prospect of a Phoenix-gryphon hybrid as seen on the cavalry banner. I miss dragons but they’re hardly unique. My fingers are crossed for a reveal for it on Thursday followed by preorders of the book and some basic units on Saturday. The rest of the models being released in the 1 or 2 weeks after. What do you all suppose the odds of that are? I don’t think the range will be released at once, but I can see the book, 2 boxes, and 2 heroes being the initial release soon.
  18. This would make me happy beyond belief. If the book is released by April 4th I can use it in a local tournament, which would be icing on the cake.
  19. The old High Elves had speed, magic, and some great elite units. The only tough units they really had were Dragon Princes and Phoenix Guard. Definitely more on the glass cannon side of the spectrum.
