    Everything else unit size wise is the same. Some points increases for some units (Chainrasp up 15 points, probably our penance for spamming them last edition) but then most units in the game did to some degree. All things considered we dodged a bullet here. We're still hurting pretty badly with the loss of our warscroll battalions, unit coherency, lack of monsters, ranged units etc., but at least we're still playable at this point. 

    All that's left is the hope (but not guarantee) of day one FAQs.

    Overall this edition will be interesting. I'm hoping our new book will give us something to do to make up for our lack of other things, like more damage and survivability, but for right now our units are properly sized (considering the new rules) but we'll still probably always use as many maxed sized units as possible to make up for our current short comings. 

    If GW wanted money, they wouldn't have nerfed horde armies like they did lol. 

    They nerf horde armies so you buy monsters/msu etc as you already bought your hordes... they will buff them back next edition ;)

    How is everyone hype after the rules leak? I really like the models so far, but I really wanted to see what others units are available before committing to them... The luckwarm warcrolls didn't help too.

    Hype kinda levelled off for now. I bought GSG for the amazing models and have since paid the price with their rules, not making that mistake again. Battletome soon though for warclans!

     - Another hero. Maybe a hobgob, maybe another Murknob.

    Then there's one more slot that I desperately hope will be another orruk unit, whether foot or a second cav unit, to bulk out the options for listbuilding.

    Yeah the single battleline unit is a little limiting.

    I'm really hoping they cash in on some of the leaked lore at some point as it talked about a lot of interesting stuff.

    If that includes the trogg/artillary + 2 monsters already flagged on warcom... that's just 2 more kits

    they have weak warscrolls, so I assume it's buff/synergy and trying to ping MW as much as possible before you get tabled because of your bad saves and bravery. Feels like you are hitting hard and fast before you die. Don't think there is much potential for attrition.

    It does take a fair amount of effort to make grots even worse so the design team should be commended.

    That being said they should mention Boingrot Bounderz (instead of Fanatics) for whom CA +1 to hit with their 4+ hits means 25% increase in damage.

    Fanatics unfortuantely die to Unleash Hell as was mentioned earlier in thread, and now we can be sure of wording of that CA, so RIP.

    I felt this one was particularly bad as it described the big nerf and then talked about an imaginary "strength" that kind of just implies everyone has been doing it wrong... and not that GSG have just been abjectly non-competitive for the last two years...

    ...then went on about one of the few good units and all the things it already did. Dazzling stuff... I hope we get someone different to write our new battletome....

    I think the battletome will be when it all comes together! the starter box is a model selling vehicle. I really want them to have a strong ruleset as well as I think they have nailed the models!!

    I like the hobby a lot but would like a strong ruleset as well, as my group has some filthy armies that my GSG just get runover by....

    I am really hoping for lots of overlapping buff/synergy with lots of heros/totems etc! I want them to emphasise the Morkiness and Kunnin!

     

    Edit: I want to see lots of monsters and machines basically!!

    There is a lot of scope for more models in these descriptions so that is quite re-assuring!

    It’s not a new battletome release. It’s a new subfaction for orruks so I wouldn’t expect a LRL level of models/units (its even less likely in destruction).
