  1. I like this Rumour Engine because it could honestly be pretty much anything! Is it a Sylvaneth branch or a set piece for Kurnothi? Is it a fun little grot staff? Is it an imperial guard base detail to show them hiding in a thicket? Is it a tyranid tendril covered in a nurgle infection? Who knows but it is a fun one to speculate on.
  2. A strange one is the Chimera which has now become the unloved stepchild of Chaos that is more related to Warcry now. The reason I highlight it is because it is absent from the index but featured in one of the army images. Will Beasts of Chaos make it as coalition allies possibly for Ravagers? I feel each was listed on the index but I may have missed one or two.
  3. I feel like Warcry will do a bit of lifting in terms of releases and at the very least the various vanguard box releases will be exciting.
  4. Well if you are willing to through down the cash money I have seen some people take Gryphcharger heads to make Tzeetnch Cavalry... The Lord Arcanum's Gryph mount is in a similar rearing position. This would look sick with that and maybe toss Ahriman's head and I think you will have one sweet Tzeentch Eternus!!! As for me Eternus will be the Damned Champion that betrayed his fellow soldiers for the dark gods and will be hunted by his former Lieutenant through the Ogor lands on a mad crusade to awaken the demon presence in the region... In 40k he will just be a generic wingless demon prince if I can convince my self to pick up the Demon Start Collecting... I am down to Slaanesh and Khorne so my twisted tale of two households in love with violence may come to fruition. Still interested in getting Dark Eldar instead to help me stay strong from Malerion's eventual release...
  5. As sad as I am the reveal was spoiled this model and the lore are still terrific and I am excited to learn more about the new best Chaos Lord ever since Archaon started riding ugly King Ghidorah... That Aelven exile is such a tease! Bring us the Kurnothi!!!
  6. Oh wow that is awesome! You could totally make Necron Utrom, Seraphon themed Triceratons and Eldar Neutrinos! So many ideas lol
  7. My guess is Eternus from Slaves to darkness tbh.
  8. I have a feeling that they will be like a Paladin as they are in units of five.
  9. This is why I think doing a sisters of battle Valaya faction with lots of emphasis on Valkyries. Winged units and pegaus pony riders and an emphasis on healing buffs. I could see it as a stand alone army or being souped into Fyreslayers with a kind of Orruk Warclans styled Worshipers of the Ancestor gods, or an expansion of cities of sigmar. Female dwarves are under represented and this would give a classic dwarf faction for AOS that is still ip friendly.
  10. I hate to admit it but despite my love of Ogor Mawtribes they are the legacy army least in need of updates to models. Like when Skaven got passed over I was pretty shocked but Ogors still look great despite static poses and some resin models desperately in need of plastic. Seraphon on the other hand needs major overhauls to both their plastic and resin kits! Obviously we are getting a free cities rework but that is another faction in desperate need of updates. Beasts of chaos are also in desperate need for updates. I think between Warcry and Underworlds Ogors can be brought up to snuff pretty quickly.
  11. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2022/09/01/nova-open-reveals-bring-ruin-to-the-realms-with-this-slaves-to-darkness-launch-set/ Have we had any leaks for Chosen Statlines? I am much to tempted by this box but I feel like 2 units of Chosen feels overkill. Hopefully they have decent range on those axes!
  12. @KingBrodd King of the Community! Based on the quote I posted above I am not surprised. I am only surprised that they captured Brodd's old Profile Picture exactly 😝 I will confess I was hoping we'd get news on a Vanguard box for the ogors and I feel like the new hunter indicates it might include elements from BCR and Gutbusters? Also I am so badly tempted by the Chaos box but it is also going to be pretty expensive for me. I really love the chosen and Ogroids... but I was really debating only going one or the other and this box has two units of chosen... but they look so good! I still haven't opened my chaos knight box... maybe a swap is in order 🤯
  13. It is so funny because in my personal narrative the Ogors are the protagonists. The ostensibly mortal inhabitants of a region caught between a war of heaven and hell. All they want is to push back both sides and return to peace.
  14. Whelp the @Neverchosen feels like the @Everchosen today! 40K: Leagues of Votann are literally the best army in 40k aesthetically and thematically from the new mage to the engineer with his robobuddies I love this army so much. I have convinced my cousin to play them and I am just so excited to get a chance to see them on the tabletop! Khorne Berserkers, still fairly simple but I do like them and I could see myself with a bone power armoured army… if I don’t go demons or undivided. Underworlds: Nice looking unit, I feel like the previewed the best of the three already but the others are nice. HH: I was actually one hundred percent jazzed and almost completely sold on making a Horus Heresy CSM army that would double as 40K… then they said it was Forgeworld resin and it unfortunately turned into a hard pass. AGE OF SIGMAR: EVERYTHING WAS AWESOME! @KingBrodd King Brodd!!! New Ogor Hunter that matches my army aesthetic and theme perfectly!!! S2D Box that will absolutely pair with my current army perfectly!!! Honestly my only negative reaction was from the Horus reveal being resin.
  15. Ogors and Slaves to Darkness same year... this is going to hurt the ol' bank account Oh well it isn't like I decided to impulse buy a box of 40k Chaos Knights earlier in the Year. 😅 Still I am very excited for my favourite armies to get some love. As for Ogor Vanguard box I expect 4 Units of Gnoblars with a gnoblar chieftain. All updated sculpts and massive nerfs to their godly stats. I wonder if the LoV batrep is previewing their box set? The article mentions it is combat patrol sized.
  16. I keep telling myself my Ogor army is done, but that sounds like an instant purchase... although if the soup rumours are true a giant might find its way onto the team... also some yhetees would make a fine addition if they ever get plastics. I also just noticed that I will able to watch the nova reveals barring any last minute changes to my work schedule so the hype is finally real!!!
  17. I feel like Imperial Knights show that GW will keep their big army separate for folks to purchase a separate tome.
  18. I think the important part is that it represents faith in a way otherwise not present in AoS which is a representation of Animistic practices. It makes sense that the people's of destruction would worship gods of disaster with Gorkamorka functioning as a mythological hero that has encountered each of these gods of destruction. This way you have: Order - polytheism Death - monotheism Chaos - corrupted form of pantheism Destruction - animism
  19. I want Destruction to have a massive win over both Chaos and Order but I also feel like Games Workshop cannot really fathom how to write a complete victory for Orruks or Orks. Namely Storm of Chaos really showed me that Games Workshop could not really comprehend how to write a true Orcish victory. I do think though that they are really good at writing groups that totally through off the narrative and introduce a sense of narrative disharmony like the Skaven or Grotz. I am hopefully wrong here but I also do suspect that it will be the case. Ironically I hope that the Dawn Bringer narrative within Ghur ends with the Destruction factions just decimating the exapansionist efforts in the realm and that Ghur remains 'untamed'. I feel like that would be a fitting and narratively coherent ending.... but I still want Morghur to be the big bad of the realm that partially shares it's name.
  20. I feel like Death in 2.0 gives us a fairly good indication of how things might shake our for Gork and Morks proudest this edition. Death had a starting army, a new army and one massive overhaul. I feel like destruction will shake out a little differently with the starting army being a subfaction and with any Gargant model updates being essential a massive boon to the army. So if I had to guess I will say I expect the following: Orruk Warclans - Big narrative focus but we have the book and I do not expect a significant level of support for the rest of the edition. Ogor Mawtribes - Nothing massive in terms of release but I do think we will get a new plastic hero and something cool in warcry. Son's of Behemat - Mega Gargant expansion King Brodd Style! Gloomspite Gitz - I think that we will update the rest of the line and get a few new units. New Army - Possibly a new Grotbag Scuttlers, Troggoths or a completely brand new army? I also really hope that Kragnos gets some friends and the animistic pantheon of destruction forces grows with each book. A god of blizzards, tornados, drought or any other natural disaster would be awesome! Make them usuable in each faction but also thematically tied to specific armies like Kragnos and the Kruelboyz. Bonus guess: Beasts of Chaos and Seraphon will be the big bad and the good guys of this edition's narrative, with the forces of destruction throwing a massive spanner in the works for both sides leading into the next edition...
  21. As stated there is no romantic love in this tale. I am just borrowing the theme of warring families and ironically using the names of those characters. 😁 Two households, both alike in violence (In foul Varanspire, where we lay our scene), From ancient grudge break to new mutiny, Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean. From forth the fatal loins of these two foes A pair of star-crossed enemies take each other's lives, Whose misadventured piteous overthrows Doth with their death further their parents' strife. The fearful passage of their death-marked hate! In terms of my overarching narrative honestly the daemons will just represent the embodiment of the war ravishing the north lands of my setting unleashed from the conflict between my other armies. The specific gods aren't that important it is just that I can most easily make a Slaanesh and Khorne army and thought it would be funny to theme them around a twisted take on the Monatgues and Capulets where Romeo and Juliet wanted each other dead. Okay moving on from my silly justification of ironic army themes. I think you are correct about Kill Team with the number of articles we have received in the last week. Is there any chance of the Daemon Prince releasing as otherwise the Daemon army did not receive even the pre-requisite one off character?
  22. I created a double post so I will use this for separate question: If we are getting a King Brodd upgrade sprue what would it entail? New head and weapons options?
  23. Mostly trolling... or rather juxtaposing. I was considering having the army themed around opposing factions United under Be'lakor' s command. But was totally going to name the two sides Capulets and Montagues and give them inverted colour schemes. But this is primarily because I am stealing my name's from Shakespeare and wanted a story with two opposing sides. I was thinking of running Sigvald and Valkia as the titular duo of star crossed enemies.
