  1. Does anyone have clarification on the despoilers [Twisted Dominion] and it's interaction with the command trait, [Paragon of Ruin]? Twisted Dominion says "after a daemon prince finishes a move" and paragon of ruin says "before the first battle round, move d3 units up to 5"". Does paragon of ruin trigger the Twisted Dominion ability and let me put up smokescreens before the game starts?
  2. I've used katakros in a petrifex list and you're exactly right. The only thing that he doesn't do is give +1 save, but you get that from the faction anyway! The 5 relentless discipline points he gives as your general is absurd, regardless of subfaction
  3. Where did they announce that? I'm super curious
  4. Yea, that makes the most sense to me. I'd love to see the faq if you or anyone else can remember which one it is! Thanks, though!
  5. If I take slaanesh daemon prince, it looks like their aura doesn't interact very well with the Hellforged sword. My instinct is that it's just a wasted line of text for the prince (yes it would still benefit other slaanesh units nearby) but I can't find an exact answer anywhere. Hellforged Sword - If the unmodified hit roll for an attack made with a Hellforged Sword is 6, that attack inflicts 2 mortal wounds on the target and the attack sequence ends (do not make a wound or save roll). Aura of Slaanesh - If the unmodified hit roll for an attack made with a melee weapon by a friendly SLAVES TO DARKNESS SLAANESH unit wholly within 12" of this model is 6, that attack scores 2 hits on the target instead of 1. Make a wound and save roll for each hit.
  6. Sacrosanct warscrolls feel really good, they just need the point changes reversed. Warrior and vanguard warscrolls just need complete reworkds, I totally agree. More than that though, the stormhosts and battalions need to be taken out back and put out of their misery. Battalions have none of the flavor or mechanical synergy they used to have and now are just a artifact/command point/drop tax. Stormhosts are completely overshadowed by Staunch Defender outside of anvilguard and 9-12 longstrike crossbows. I want to win competitive games, but I want to enjoy my army while trying. The 2.0 battletome sucked all of the fun out of making a stormcast list
  7. Priming them the largest color you're going to paint saves a TON of time. When I started priming my guys gold, it really cut back how long it took to paint. I'd say it takes about 45 minutes to paint a liberator and maybe an hour and fifteen-thirty for a sequitor, since they're 50/50 robes and metal.
  8. I feel like celestant prime's whole gimmick needs to be reworked. I dont remember where I read it, but someone else put it best, it's such a beautiful centerpiece model, I want it to be on the board! It's so weird to have your coolest model off the table for half of the game.
  9. I absolutely love this thread! I'm a huge fan of each stormhost getting a unique battleline options, I'd love to see that fleshed out even more!
  10. If you're still in the market for advice, I got you, fam! Liberators are disappointing like you wouldn't believe. They're a tax at worst and a teleporting objective grabber at best. If you have to use them to finish your battleline, go for it, but they're far and away the worst option for stormcast battleline! Judicators, Sequitors (With lord arcanum as general), and Vanguard-hunters (With lord aquilor as general) are all more expensive point wise, but something you can actually count on as part of your army. Vandus Hammerhand is a Hammers of Sigmar named hero, so if you aren't running the HoS stormhost, he should just count as Lord Celestant on Dracoth. HoS stormhost is incredibly underwhelming. You really only take it for Gavriel Sureheart's +3 to charge command ability. It's super disappointing!! Evocators are amazing and got a point increase to nerf them, but they'll still trash everything they get into combat (and attack first) against. If you have the ability to change your fulminators and tempestors into concussors, they're the dracothian guard that I would recommend personally. A Celestant on dracoth with staunch defender running up the line with 4-6 concussors buffed by a lord castellant is going to just humiliate anything that can't do more than 4-5 mortal wounds a turn.
