  1. Small channel update with loads happening;
  2. I’ll take you up on that offer @Ben, and thanks for the help with scenery dice. We’re on 45 paid players now which is putting us on track to be one of the biggest events in Australia.
  3. I’ve put together a newsletter to wrap up some of th activity since tickets went on sale: https://mailchi.mp/d6695b5db5c4/sydney-gt-first-month-wrap-up Paid player list has been updated to 39 players.
  4. What was an Aussie's view on Heat 3? I chat with Ash McEwan who recently competed in the UK and I unpack the differences between Australia & UK scene & his experiences.
  5. I don't mind the militia, however; I find that they play a very unique role that I probably don't need. A bit of a jack of all trades really. They aren't as strong in combat as your Guard (swords, halberds or spears) and they aren't as strong in shooting as your Gunners or Crossbow and the Archers get the free move before combat. Would love to hear how you're effectively using them.
  6. ...take the Free People batallion formation is the ONLY way to bring more artefacts into the FP.
  7. Great pack Chris. I'm going to check out how the realm rules you've selected and potentially incorporate them in Sydney GT. Love that you're embracing as much of the rules as possible.
  8. @Ben got me with that line last year, don't know if I can do it twice.... especially since I just dropped cash on Adepticon hotel. Nice try though
  9. @Mitzy your event looks incredible! FML why do I live in Australia?!

  13. I dove into episode 2 and really enjoyed it @John Roy. Looking forward to hearing more from you lads
  14. I’ve had a lot of success with Ambush but you need think really think about how you maximise it and willing to not drop them too soon. I’ve held a Necromancer back in ambush until turn 4 so i could backbord my opponent and take out a secondardy. I’ve used 5 direwolves to ambush onto late game objectives like knife to the heart, or a flying vampire lord to secure an early game objective. Morghast Harbringers have been an ambush godsend for me. I find the physological advantage of ambush is it’s greatest feature. It messes with people’s deployment and i find my opponents ALWAYS try to stop me from ambushing my Terrorgheist and VL ob ZD... and I mess with them by holding them out to be my last deployment. At that time they’ve forgotten i’ve ambushed Morghast.
  15. Phew... can't believe it's been 2 months! Life, attending tournaments, and launching a large tournament has really taken over my time. BUT I'm back! With so much change with 2nd Edition Age of Sigmar, I want to put together a short video on how to put yourself in a change mindset and share practical tips that'll help you transition into the new reality. I hope you find even 1 tip that you can apply in wargaming or in life.
  16. I'm going to check this out tonight. Sounds HILARIOUS!
  17. I've had much more success ambushing Morghast Harbringers, and using VL on ZD and Mannfred deployed on the table. I've found it gives me a tactical advantage, and I can use it to summon 40 skeletons in the middle of the field (9" from the enemy) and then hit them hard. Ignoring Cogs, because I'm yet to play AoS 2, Ambushing doesn't always turn out the way you planned. It's easy to fail charges and can be zoned out with smart players. Initially I was running 6 Vargheist but I almost never made the 9" charge, and my Terrorgheist base is too big. At least with the TG it has 10" scream
