  1. Ah, the game of Skittles, when I first saw this on another post my first thought was the candy.Makes more sense and not quite as gross.
  2. Saw your coffee, small world, one of the coffees I drink.Spent my honeymoon on Saltspring Island and many anniversaries since
  3. I loved the Lustria diorama,it brings back old memories from when they first created it.It was in the old 5th edition Lizardmen book.Funny thing is that I have a few of the human figures from it and just finished repainting them for my COS army.Wow that sure makes me feel old. Thanks for showing all your pictures as I don’t think I’ll ever get to see them in person.
  4. A newby question, how do you give someone a like for their reputation with the new format.Been trying to figure it out for a couple of days now. Thanks in advance for any help.
  5. I'm also returning to playing for Aos3 and am building a COS army.Mostly mixed units of Hafling,Humans and dwarfs.A lot of old 4th and 5th edition models. So far the only new stuff is converted Hafling Bloodbowl models to go with my old metal Haflings.I will be getting the new Witch Hunter models and the Sisters of the Watch as I really like them and they fit with the tactics I'm going for.I'll probably start with Hammerhal as my city,I like the ignore battle shock in my own territory and the chances for extra CP.The only problem I see with COS is you seem to end up with a semi gun line.Looks like that is the strength of COS.
  6. I agree, started playing Chaos Dwarfs in 5th and really hate the term chorfs. It just doesn't sound right
  7. I semi agree with Sleboda. In the COS army I'm building right now I included Halfling,Dwarves,Humans and Elves. They are all in mixed units with the correct weapons and I feel its easy to say those are hand gunners or swordsmen.I use Loopin Croop models as Shadow Warriors but I include old metal Shadow Warriors as well to show what the unit is.My Greatswords include Old metal empire figures, some dwarfs, some White Lions, and a converted Bloodbowl Hafling with a huge sword. On the other hand I could see how a whole unit proxy could be confusing to some people and I tried to avoid that. For my Sisters of the Watch I decided to buy the unit as nothing else looked right to me.Old halfling archers didn't cut it not being female.I remember back in the Warhammer days you would see some beautiful proxied tournament armies but I had no clue what any of the units were.I think Sleboda had to play some of those armies and it left a bad taste in his mouth as it would me.
  8. Hope you get it soon,I did'nt order it but Cursed City took about 10 days to get to me after release date and being in Canada our stuff comes from the same centre in the US as yours.
  9. I think that the problem everyone is worried about is lumineth Wardens screening Sentinel's.So the problem to most people is Sentinels. That worry seems to have been there(right or wrong) ever since the release of the Lumineth book.Other than Irondrakes I haven't seen many other complaints about shooting units and Unleash Hell.
  10. I think if I was starting from scratch it would be Kruel boys or Gravelords.Lots of monsters, new books and you know they will be around awhile with little changes to them. They look like decent armies and should survive any meta changes going forward.
  11. I forgot about Warmaster and Epic have 4 gone between those. Can still play like Mordeim with their rules at least.
  12. I’ll be buying them for my COS army.Galen will be my adjutant gaining the 4+ cp chance.Doralia will be put in a position to use her crossbow.I think both models will work well in my army.I’ll have to take out one of my assassins but no loss really as they do almost the same job.Always felt that COS needs lots of heroes compared to some armies.
  13. God I’d forgotten how good a painter you are.Great job on both models
  14. I watched the videos and then sat with my wife who wasn’t feeling well from her 2nd vaccination.
  15. I’ve just got back into the hobby and have been painting a mostly halfling COS army. I’m about a third done. What’s funny is that taking a break from them I’ve been repainting my old Chaos Dwarf army slowly and the above post has a nice 5th CD vibe which I’m always happy to see.I would love to see them along with the hobgrots in AOS3.
  16. Mostly a question for old-timers but anyone welcome. My list includes from Warhammer,DOW and Chaos Dwarves. From Storm of Chaos, the black orcs,Lothern Seaguard and the Vampire army. From AOS I've lost Wood Elves,Brettonia and my Wolfrider army(all Hobgoblins). So over the years I've just learned to live with it and move on.
  17. Thanks for the welcomes.I wish contrast paints had been out 10 years ago.Figure I'll have an army ready when my local store is open to gaming again. It's been a long time since 7th for me.
  18. I'm not sure about this rule.Like many people have said I did not know there were different colour schemes for SCE.I think I would just let the person play as long as I knew what the units did.I use sort of proxies in my COS army I'm painting right now.I use old halfling, dwarf and empire models in most of my freeguild units, everyone has the proper weapons so why would this be a problem. The only unit that would be a true proxy would be my Luppin Croop models as shadow warriors, only because COS got rid of their archers and their militia warscroll. One thing I'm worried about was a problem I saw in old Warhammer when people would yell at others for not painting their Ogres grey or their lizard men blue.It always seemed over the top to me.I understand the comments about Space Marines chapters but that's 40k not AOS.I'm always of the mind paint your models how you want as long as your opponent knows what they are.
  19. Been in and out the hobby since Warhammer 5th edition.haven't played aos except for a few games before it had points.Played Warhammer from 5th until 7th when most of my armies got squatted.Played Mordeim only after that ,in fact I still play it with my kids.Quit painting as even with glasses black undercoat was hard to see.A friend suggested contrast paints and I've painted over 150 models since using them.I've lurked here for a couple of years and decided to start posting as there seems to be a lot of nice people here.I quit my old Warhammer forum site years ago during the RAW vs RAI battles as people seemed not so nice.Saw a few names on here from there so it's nice to see them still in the hobby. All in all it's nice to be back.
  20. My first post after years of lurking.I didn't buy Dominion for a few reasons.First off I've just got back in the hobby after xmas and bought the contrast paint set, artis opus brushes and cursed city.My wife said no preceded by a few choice words. Also I did not want the SCE part.I wanted the kruelboys but was worried they are going to be half an army with no book and I would have to play IJ to have an army.Hobgrots not being battle line hurt a lot for making a list as you seem to have one battle line.My only fear of waiting is never having any heroes sold separate.Sort of like a couple of the NH heroes. So I guess I've taken a wait and see approach.
