  1. It's also worth noting that just because an objective is in your deploy zone doesn't mean you have automatic control over it; you must still capture the objective by ending a turn with models within 6" of it.
  2. The new rules for the Ardfist state the following: ‘You can use this command ability if the Orruk Warchanter from this battalion is on the battlefield when a unit from this battalion is destroyed. If you do so, roll a dice. On a 4+, a new unit identical to the one that was destroyed is added to your army. Set up the new unit wholly within 6" of the edge of the battlefield and more than 9" from any enemy units. You cannot use this command ability more than once per phase.’ When it says that the unit is identical to the one that was destroyed, does that mean that the new unit is still a part of the battalion?
  3. Interesting, so would they not gain the benefits of the army's allegiance abilities?
  4. In the Orruk Warclans Battletome FAQ, the final Q&A reads as follows: Q: If a Big Waaagh! or Bonesplitterz army takes the Ironfist warscroll battalion, can both armies use the 'Mighty Destroyers' command ability even though it is an Ironjawz battle trait? A: Yes. The circumstances they're describing talk about an Ironjawz battalion being taken in a Bonesplitterz army. The Core Rules FAQ says that Warscroll battalions that share the battalions in a battletome belong to all of the factions in that battletome. So am I interpreting correctly that an Ironjawz-allegiance army could take a Kop Rukk without it counting as allies, and a Bonesplitterz army could take an Ironfist battalion without it counting as an ally?
  5. While OBR reads to me as very likely to be extremely strong out of the gates, I agree that we'll have to spend some months seeing them in action before we can have anything beyond a theory. What I'd like to know, however, is what people think about the difference in apparent power level between Ogor Mawtribes and OBR, since they were released simultaneously. It seems likely that on some level GW intentionally made OBR to be more powerful than average so that they could sell more models, and while Ogor Mawtribes is a good battletome, I would contend that it wasn't designed to match the capabilities of the OBR. It makes me wonder, 'Is that release strategy fair to the players of the 'less favored' factiosn?', and subsequently, 'Does it matter if it's fair?' I know that GW is a miniature vendor first and foremost, but I have a fear that the mindset of placing a hand on the scale of power between armies as a tool to sell miniatures is - or has the potential to be - quite bad for the game in the long run. I don't mean to disparage GW or fearmonger, I just love this hobby and its community and want to see it flourish in a healthy way ❤️
  6. If I build a Tempest's Eye army, whose Allegiance ability allows me to have up to 1/4 of my force as Kharadron Overlords without having to take them as allies, is it permissible for me to take additional Kharadron Overlords units as allies?
