  1. Now that I think about it, guild of summoners could be really good too, it's the only coven that seems to be intended for mixed armies
  2. How viable would a combined arcanite/daemon force be? (Or arcanite/mortals) I hate how little diversity a list has if it only uses either I was thinking about taking two acolytes and one tzaangor unit for battlelines, with some enlightened, screamers and flamers. I guess the only coven that would really help is the Cult of the Transient Form, but it wouldn't be that useful.
  3. Yes, that's right. I guess he still has them but doesn't have the time/concentration to use them. "A Lord of Change is a single model armed with one of the following weapon options: Staff of Tzeentch and Baleful Sword; Staff of Tzeentch and Rod of Sorcery; or Staff of Tzeentch and Curved Beak and Wicked Talons."
  4. He only picked them because they're the cheapest battleline he could take (and invoked almost as many pinks T1), his list is mostly daemon (plus archaon). I was asking about the viability of a list using acolytes and/or tzaangors as the backbone of an army.
  5. Kinda concerned how only one list had arcanites, and that was only 10 acolytes. That and the fact that this thread only talks about daemons worried me... Do you think mostly arcanite lists will be viable? (As in, mostly Tzaangor and acolytes)
  6. EDIT: I didn't understand alliances, but yes we can ally him.
  7. Not a lot of 1000pts lists around here. What I came up with: The 20 acolytes would do good ranged damage, get buffed by acolytes' spell and our cult's command ability. The 10 acolytes are mostly a screen to prevent tzaangor getting charged, while triggering their banner. Tzaangors will try to get the 9" charge agenda, after which they become really scary (+1 attack for both their real weapon and their beak) Not sure about the magister, I mostly included him so chainfire amulet wouldn't be useless, he should remain close to the tzaangors, to buff them and trigger their banner. Not sure about the screamers either, I had 80 points remaining...
  8. Hello,I'm going with Tzeench for my first AOS army. I came up with a Meeting Engagement list that contains most of the units I like, what do you think of it? I also really like screamers, but don't really see how to include them in the list. I read that you advise not to use flamers too much, with is why I only put one unit of them, else I would replace my knights and warriors with more flamers, and the sorcerer with an ogroid
  9. Ah thanks. I didn't even think about splitting my units of 10
  10. I was thinking of putting sorcerer in spearhead because he's slower. I'm not sure for knights/charriots. You mean 2 rounds because it would take time to reach the enemy? Isn't it the same for any other unit I'd use
  11. Hello, I'm new to AOS and unsure if it's the best place to ask such a question. I'm looking to get into AOS, thinking of Tzeench with this list: - Chaos Sorcerer Lord - Ogroid Thaumaturge - 2 Chaos Chariot - 10 chaos knights - 10 chaos warriors Total: 990 points This is basically 2 start collecting slave to darkness plus Ogroid Thaumaturge. A relatively cheap way to start for Games Workshop. Would this list be viable for meeting engagements? I was thinking of only taking 3 screamers for summoning, is it enough?
  12. I went to games workshop website. Refining for free people yields mages and artillery, guess everyone's back together.
  13. Thanks for the reply! Yea I already saw the review, but I can't find painted armies side by side anywhere... They seem pretty close in the comparison.
  14. You mean Landsknecht missile troops? I was thinking of using them for all my ranged troops... In what way are they different? More detailed? Is the size difference noticeable? Could you post a pic?
