  1. it is very viable, that list but with small changes is extremely viable, like a krondspine instead of 1x raider and the gnoblars is really viable, or kragnos and mournfang instead of 2x raiders and the gnoblars
  2. nice, what did your opponent run? was arcane tome feeling worth it? did you have flaming weapons or ghost mist?
  3. they can already fight in two ranks this season as they are just straight up gally vets
  4. questions, when is it the invocations move? in both hero phases our only mine? the use of their seems weird to me. And also, when should i roll the hatred of sorcery? lets say that i got a unit close to a sigil of tzeentch, do i roll when that unit is picked and thus affected or do i only roll ifthe sigil roll is 4+?
  5. the cap has existed, i cant find it directly but the exalted greater demon of khorne speaks about increasing the cap from 8 to 16
  6. Except that Skarr, Valkia and Scyla are already demon princes, they just lack the daemon keyword. I also think that none of the three should be a commander type hero in our new tome , they should be a whirlwind, spear and fist respectively. I also dont see how any lore could be happening soon that would lead up to khorne getting a new kind of daemon unit. At most we will get an alternative loadout herald in a double box. We already have models and named heroes for all the daemon archetypes except exalted greater ones. I for one would welcome that with the ka'bandha model but as the nurgle book left out their exalted ones i dont have very high hopes for that
  7. the battle tactics really arent anything noteworthy, as there are no bonus points to doing them and they are very much more conditional than the regular ones. as in almost all cases, there are only monsters close to your altar to destroy it and in this edition many wizards are monsters and often generals for which there are better strategies. The "kill 8 models" is also kind of hard to pull off, as everything we got is very pillowfisted and it would be very conditional against something like 1w 5+ save models and for that there are already strategies to use that gives you more points. Having you secrator locked to the backline where your altar is will make him a sitting duck as he wont be close to the action to get off his +1 aura and therefore useless, sucks even more that he cant increase the range of his aura anymore Btw, can a 5 man unit bloodletter become more than 5 thanks to their banner?

  9. yes, it is something he should have even when he is an ally and do not have access to the locus ability. It says so in the faq
  10. Khorgos is pretty self sustaining, and he can also be fielded as an unnamned character, mighty lord of khorne so he can take artefacts and command traits. Go for the rule of cool to begin with and read up on slaughterhosts and battalions on 1d4chan until you get the book

  12. You always run with him, 16" is alot and if you only have flesh hounds and karanak you have no one to put a command trait and artefact on. He came in a start collecting but i think there still are some boxes with him and a mighty lord of khorne out in local game shops. Otherwise i recommend to look at second hand market.
  13. Yes the skull altar, the bloodsecrator is the core part of a khorne army, he gives +1 attack to all units wholly within 16" of him and makes nearby wizards reroll successful casting rolls.   14. No rule of three in aos, Karanak is okay, flesh hounds are solid and battleline. Are you going to play 1k or 2k points? i would suggest a bloodsecrator, think of him as a herder lorewise perhaps. you should get the altar as it is free in every khorne army.

As for your list, i would go with Reapers of Vengeance instead for Skarbrand and wrathaxe instead of bleeding icon. And as you dont have big units of bloodreavers i would go with bronzed flesh instead of blood sacrifice.
  18. 1s to hit and wound are automatically fails you know? 2s to hit and wound and reroll ones are better. And even better is 2s to hit and wound and reroll everything if you have something proccing on an unmodified 6
  19. But the wound output should be better with killing frenzy and locus of fury for extra chamce to get mortal wounds in. This is the case for me as i am always playing a priest with killing frenzy in my lists.
  20. is the sword better than the axe on the khorne daemon prince? and is it an autopick with killing frenzy?
  21. shrines only boost StD units, so how does this work with the battalion and khorne allegiance abilities?
  22. What do you guys think is the best 2000 points list to fully use Vorgaroth? To just fill out the rest with blood warriors and reavers? or to go more eliteish with wrathmongers and skullreapers? boost him with a bloodsecrator or use the points on something else?
