  1. Well, there's a reason I have a mechanical leg. The Aethergold makes us spicy!
  2. You are bound even by gravity, I see no ratfolk in the skies except in pieces after an explosion. But do come closer, the Chekhov has a few choice words about physics it would love to share (they are inscribed on cannonballs).
  3. Go lick your god's toes, we are doing science here!
  4. Neither do the Kharadron. I vote against religious discrimination.
  5. Hardly a rumour, but I've just noticed the Snotling pumpwagon in the Blood Bowl set is on a separate sprue. This makes it quite easy to repackage it as an AoS vehicle if GW wants.
  6. New Freeguild Guard, Handgunners or General on Horse/Demigryph.
  7. I have had lots of good communication on fora of Mount and Blade as well as, earlier, Baldur's Gate. Though granted, those are fora. The Renaissance Troll blog, which is from the writer of the games in the Frostgrave rulesets, is quite diverse in interest and possible stuff or builds that are relevant. There are quite a few figures used that are competition to the Frostgrave line. Though granted, that's a person, not the company.
  8. I do notice the Vallejo Airbrush metals have something similar even when brushed, but it's also quite smooth. Similar when I took the wrong spraycan and sprayed black metallic on my Kharadron instead of flat black, though I attributed that to just the wrong kind of paint.
  9. It depends on what the regular opponents at that shop bring. Bringing a strong list might be the norm for the players they usually face.
  10. It's good that your opponent also highlighted the weakness of his army. If you know your own army, and know your opponent's... that's still no guarantee, but I don't think either the Kharadron or Sylvaneth armies are really broken. I have seen Khorne obliterate most of a Kharadron army in one charge, so there is hope for your friend.
  11. Cities would like a horse-mounted general with a movement friendly bonus, and really, a hero option for Ironweld in a flyer. Sisters of the Thorn, Wild Riders and Dark Riders could also use a general with similar speed and a relevant bonus. A warscroll akin to the deceased Excelsior Warpriest with healing that can affect everything in your army would also be quite nice. Cities has enough units, but they miss heroes.
  12. Those paint pot holders are easily replaced if you have either greenstuff to just sculpt one, or a set of concentric drills (also nice for transparent bases)
  13. I'd just use the Warscroll builder. https://www.warhammer-community.com/warscroll-builder/ Not only have the points of Cities changed (after the GHB), Stormcast casters have dropped significantly, and some Kharadron stuff is also cheaper.
  14. I feel this as well. I'm not that interested in new d&d releases, because I've moved on to a new system, I get the updates on kickstarter projects through the mail and a yearly "Will there be a LEGO Castle in [insert next year]?" search has sufficed for that hobby since 2012. I do check every once in a while whether the Orlock doggies have arrived, but that's just a number count on GW's boxed games page. The communities I am quite active in are mostly not moderated by the selling company, though maybe the FB page of Rangers of Shadowdeep is (the writer is quite active there).
  15. There only a few cats, the Ulanti Noble and Mirror mask missing, and I've already sculpted the latter two myself. It's time for the other gangs.
  16. You know, I like this picture. 3x AoS, 1x Necromunda vs 4x 40K, and male and female distribution is half and half.
  17. And, as a bonus, Kingmaker for Pathfinder 2 will come out soon, just about when my 5e campaign is ready. The combination seems like an excellent matchup. Pathfinder 2 for the RPG stuff, Oathmark if I want to invade them with armies,
  18. So the 40k app also is a subfaction of Sylvaneth?
  19. That looks quite interesting. I would guess the grub stuff.
  20. I think it's a kitbash, with Gotrek as a base
  21. On a separate note, Oathmark has a really interesting way of building armies that would work as a nice alternative to allies in AoS. You build up your kingdom out of a 10 areas, and you put stuff there that generate options for your army, which are in a shape. In a campaign, you can gain and lose areas, even losing access to a certain unit. This made me think of the City designer that ultimately never got into the book, where you pick different features for your city (Skyport, Stormkeep, Sylvaneth wood, Arcane College etc) that implied different recruitment options.
  22. To be fair, just about everything in the AoS games realm is better than 40K. Things like Underworlds and Warcry working in the main game is something you'd expect. In 40K, I expect every customer unfriendly measure to be in place and defended by its players. Though Genestealers do work in Necromunda as a gang.
