  1. I think this is what happened to mine. I asked for it shipped to my home, and probably should have picked it up.
  2. It seems the christmas squigs won't arrive before Christmas, even if you preordered. I'm not sure it will even progress from "Pre-order accepted" before that time.
  3. I'm quite far with my Fokker. Today was a bit annoying, every cylinder has two tiny exhaust pipes I needed to clean up and glue into place. I also added the tubes that put stuff into the engine, made from bits of wire for the exposed engine.
  4. They can make molds for limited run stuff like Underworlds, store anniversaries and event minis. Other companies can also make plastic molds for limited run, and are then cheaper per model. Not that resin is awful, but one of the advantages GW has over printing is not dealing with resin dust from sanding. Plastic models are also easier to customize than purchased resin minis. Purchasing a resin model at GW prices is only a little better than buying a lead containing metal model at GW prices.
  5. I'm going to paint a Fokker g-1 in 1:48, and at least one more christmas goblin.
  6. Christmas squig without having to sculpt him myself? Don't mind if I do! Christmas squigrider tax for me being late to the party.
  7. This is what it ended up as achieving. Due to concussion, bruised ribs and broken collar bone, not much more hobbying.
  8. GW also knows a marketing opportunity when it sees one.
  9. The same guys from before, but with a ridiculously oversized coin for scale (part of the secret santa package)
  10. I should really get this guy's minis for that, https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2004599158/hieronymus-bosch-tabletop-miniatures But they are quite pricy and taller than I want for marginalia. I loved the old Chaos Familiars set, and would love more of that.
  11. Those little guys are going to get me the whole new Cities line, aren't they? Though really I shouldn't. Emergency pet care proves very expensive.
  12. When the weather gets dry again I'll varnish and take pics. This is pretty rough, but it's for a kid and it probably won't be used for all that long. If it is, I'll make him a new set. Arms and heads can be rotated, which will help make a few more poses.
  13. The main reason they look like this is that it's mostly contrasts over white. Not my favourite, but I don't have the time to do every model better since I want to give everyone something. I love your corrosion, the more intense effect will be visible from further away.
  14. Minis for my nephew done. Haven't done airbrushing yet, goblins far from finished.
  15. It seems I made a lot of mistakes with the direction of magnets. Luckily, I made so many that I still have a lot of options.
  16. If your heart skips more beats, you can join his Grand Alliance!
  17. I magnetized the arms and bodies, pinned the heads, primed everything and painted the arms. I also painted a gryph hound, two snotlings and a hormagaunt. This is quite a project. They will be for macro photography for my nephew (secret santa).
  18. My nephew wants miniatures for macro photography for secret santa. I'm making 12 minis (mostly frostgrave) with some 70 changeable arms, 20 heads as well as some goblins, ghosts and beasts. Plus a few christmas goblins for others.
  19. I also expect old Underworld teams to be booted, and Cursed City models when it's time is up.
  20. Yeah. I got tricked into buying mercenaries as well months before they got dumped. I had a sizable Kharadron inclusion as well as some Stormcast for my Tempest's eye when I played. Not only are rulebooks overpriced for the quality and they lose all value every three years (one for general's handbook), they also casually toss out stuff from the rules. Including stuff made for AoS like Silver Tower. GW makes nice models (and charge hefty for them), but I will never give their rulebooks another chance.
  21. Most of the Eduard fw-190 is not that interesting before panel lining and further painting, but the cockpit is mostly finished (still need to find out what to do for seatbelts). The cockpit opening is 11 mm wide. I wanted a bit more definition in the dials, but it is rather small. Painting eyes is easier than painting dials, danger areas on that dial etc.
  22. I got part of a christmas goblin done. Good progress on the fw-190 as well.
  23. October is short still, but I am trying to build something. Either a piece of a model airplane or a christmas squig.
