  1. both Skryre and Moulder could use a LOT of love... personally I'd prefer to see some new material for moulder dudes like packmasters, master moulders, giant rats, rat ogres, swarms since I doubt we'll see another reprint of the Spire of Dawn/Island of Blood sprues, but at least Moulder can be practically played as a solo clan on the table, whereas Eshin has nearly nothing to work with aside from ancient metal/resin models
  2. yea, some of the people complaining about 'tw pc streamers/gamers' obviously have no clue what they're talking about. Turin (arguably the face of TW: Warhammer) is like the nicest, most positive dude ever, and has even started a Cities of Sigmar army. You also have friendly, nice guys like Loremaster of Sotek/Italian Spartacus/etc... , all inviting and good potentially ambassadors for any community. I got into AoS because of that game, and am grateful for it. the Total War community forum is a cesspit of idiots and likely young children, but its no worse than most of the Warhammer themed forums like Dakka Dakka/etc...
  3. imagine a book that Age of Sigmar'ed the War for K8P. Gloomspite vs Skaven vs Kharadron Overlords
  4. I wouldn't mind if for organizational purposes, the Skaven were moved over to destruction. The horned Rat can be booted from the pantheon and get super salty at chaos. that's the issue forcing all factions into one of four categories/alliances, it adds otherwise arbitrary restrictions to the lore
  5. Ideally, the lumineth battletome would include stats for some of the CoS aelf models as well, at least in the vein of the inclusion of KO in the CoS book. Luckily, I'm confident my units of Swordmasters/Sea Guard from the Skaven/HE WFB starter should prove easy conversions into the lumineth style
  6. To throw in my two cents, I've played many different games and seen many rulesets come and go. The ephemeral nature of the rules means that whatever 'power' level a model has is fleeting, but your opinion/taste on the design of the model won't change. Therefore, the only metric I use to determine whether to buy a sculpt is whether I like how it looks individually and as part of my army.
  7. hmm, I could be totally misguided in this thinking since we don't have any other information on these guys, but I would argue that your army could still have tons of emotion, with the added tragedy that they are aware they will eventually lose all it. I'm guessing that each individual lumineth still has different levels of emotion similar to any other human, where some will be clearly more emotional than others
  8. yea, and Teclis was always an ugly dude... maybe he just didn't care enough to change his facial structure due to his hubris? Either way, I'm sure he's packing some heat at least considering the sweats he's wearing
  9. So I personally enjoy how the game currently offers a multitude of different sized armies for everyones individual taste. I personally play mixed skaven because I enjoy having many options when building my lists, and would dislike if they once again broke the skaven down into the individual clans. I have the models to play more focused Skaven builds if I wished, but having the full gamut of options helps me further differentiate my Skaven army from the next person (aside from the fact that we will all have a f-ton of clanrats! however, for the newer players who seem to carry less attachment to their armies, constantly churning out low model option armies seems to be beneficial as it allows them a dynamic field from which to pick up new armies and streamlines their army build options. I do think there will be a point where there are too many armies available as far as shelf space is concerned. Due to the time/money it takes to put together an army, it's much more difficult to just "trade in" your army for the next big hotness, especially when you've just finished painting/modeling/lore writing for your current army.
  10. honestly, I've come to the conclusion that Icegoat is some selfless lad who has offered himself as a sacrificial lamb by representing something so obnoxious and disliked that he brings the rest of the community closer together in our contempt.
  11. it sounds to me like you are new(ish) to the hobby and don't quite understand the appeal/ethos behind miniature wargames... were you, perchance, a magic/ccg player beforehand? Because your ideas wouldn't be out of place in such an environment, but are utterly ridiculous here.
  12. how about 5 skaven rats that functioned had 5 distinct models for WHU that could also function as generic Acolyte models? Or maybe 4 packmasters and a master moulder?
