  1. Yeah we've already seen pictures. They look slightly better but not good enough for my taste.
  2. I doubt it. The Bonereapers theme is bone constructs, not skeletons.
  3. It's not really fair to compare to oldhammer though. Back then a few milimeters difference at positioning those rank&file units could make or break the game for you because it means the opponent may or may not charge you in the flank and break your unit. Also the fact that marching/running and charging were straightout twice your movement value instead of just rolling dice. ^^
  4. Nothing so far. At least visually their role seems to be a bit overlapping with our new 4-armed friends though imo so I can't even take a proper guess.
  5. Or just 10 if you don't feed him max sized units. ^^
  6. He might kill all those Keepers ... or fight an endless fight against dozens of Daemonettes that get re-summoned every turn while the Keepers deal with the rest of the now rather small army. ^^
  7. I like my armies to contrast eachother so I have some variety.
  8. I was going for red as well, simply because my old Tomb Kings used to be red. So basically nostalgia reasons. ^^ Good question on the bone colour though. My Slaanesh are already an oily black, so I'm hesitating painting these with black bones. I think I'll need to do some test models before I can decide on one thing or another.
  9. I also have this weird urge to paint the Bonereapers as bugmen. Not that I would want to have such an army myself but I think it fits the models and I want to see it done at least once.
  10. Nah, it's not just the nose that's the issue. It's the whole face. I much prefer proper skulls. ^^
  11. Their whole purpose is to roam the realms to find skulls the proper size.
  12. So I was a bit bored at work and decided to use my rather poor photoshop skills to do a mockup of what I'm probably ending up doing once I get my hands on the models. Basically this is going to turn into this No spinous process all over the body, no tail, no weird faces and no silly weapon holding with two arms on the same side.
  13. I don't know what your job is, but I can tell that you are clearly wrong in this case. And you obviously do care. ^^
  14. Okay okay so first of all, there was no need to post it three times. Then, nowhere it says a Halberd has to be as tall as the one who's wielding it. Sources usually give us a length 1.5-1.8 meters (which is btw. even shorter than many people are). Of course with some exceptions as always. An axe, as you claim it is, is about the length of the arm for battle purposes. The shaft alone of here is longer than their arms. Last but not least, the Halberds (yes they are) the four-armed guys are wielding ARE about as tall as they are (the line is copy pasted and just moved from the Halberd to the body. It's the exact same length): And as I've already said before, the halberd doesn't even have to have the same proportional length for these guys. As long as they can fight opponents without the opponents being able to reach them it's doing its job as halberd.
  15. I'm with you on that and I'm definitely going to change that regardless of how much work it might be. I also hope to find some proper skulls in the right size to replace their heads with lol
  16. There's simply no need for Halberds to be as long for these guys as they would be for regular humans. The point is to be a threat while keeping the enemy far enough away so he can't hurt you (lets ignore that these kinds of weapons are best use in formations for now). Just because this guy is pretty tall it doesn't increase the enemys reach. ^^
  17. He looks awesome, is decent and it's the only thing you are still missing from the range. I think the decision is an easy one. ^^
  18. Yeah it's pretty dumb. I plan to remove the lower arm completely for the two-handed weapons.
  19. A combination of both I'd say. The colour scheme does a lot to make the model look creepy while the bone-y colour scheme GW uses just makes it look weird. I'd like to see how it would look with the nose-faces as well, though I doubt I'd ever like it more than the nose-less faces.
  20. With such a colour scheme the faces don't even look that bad anymore. I like it! Gotta love that he's just sitting back and handing out different punishments as if the enemy is just a bunch of plebs having an audience with the king. Sorry, not sorry.
  21. I really hope not. I enjoy the armies being so small for once. ^^
  22. Whenever I see pictures in this thread I realise how much smaller AoS armies are compared to WHFB or 40k (without titans and stuff).
  23. Not saying you can't do it. It's just not something I'll do or even what I meant to write since if I did I would've done so instead of writing Leadbelcher.
