Stupid question that might have been answered already: Witherstave goes off on 6+ . Does that mean that if my opponent has some +1 to Wound abilites, they would have to re-roll natural 5s? Same question for Cycle/General Trait.

Sorry, I was just talking about the bravery part :) I'm not sure about 40k, but I play deamons only in AoS. Thricefold Befoulment with lots of Plaguebearers and some Drones ist actually quite good. If you don't need/want to be competetive, there are some cool options. You said you want to be able to stay on objectives forever? Take a look at the Tallyband of Nurgle. I think it would fit your playstyle well and gives you some guidance on what to buy.

Looks nice in theory. But after going full Lannister for some lists, I grew really tired of it. It is really, really frustrating to stack up these nice little scary tactics just to have your opponent do the morale immune cp thingy (if they have to use it, as a lot of armies have access to some kind of morale immunity). And yes, forcing your enemy to spend this cp can also be seen as part of the tactic, but I prefer the "wiping a whole unit in a single turn" aspect of the hobby.

Most, if not all, tournaments will gladly accept conversions especially if they are well done. I've never had any problems, but if you're unsure you can always ask the organizer before the tournament starts. As gutbusters, we kind of rely on conversions anyway, because we have no official model for some profiles. Gutgorger Tyrant obviously, but none of the Tyrant models has a pistol. It usually suprises opponents when I say that they can shoot.🤔

You could also just kitbash him, but the maneater model fits really well. There is no 'correct' model for the Ghyrant, as I like to call him.

I really like these ideas. I think there are some changes that can be made with just a small update of the existing warscrolls. Let tyrants choose their Great Name (for the cost of them being unique in an army). Let the Butcher cauldron work like a prayer that works on a 2+, roll of 1 inflicts one mortal wound, you can choose the result. Down To The Iron Guts becomes a once per battle ability (I really hate that trigger). These changes alone would make Gutbusters way better.
