  1. My opinion is:;

    Lore: atm there is just nothing wich talks to me. But thats ok. I Play since fantasy second Edition, and there where always times where i was not interested in the lore. That maybe changes in the Future again.

    Game: i got the feeling GW tries to give every army everything. Wich Kind of sucks! Ofc you always got a Jack of all trades, like stormcast or skaven. But thats ok, because ist matches the lore very Good. But does  every army Needs to be at least ok in shooting? Or does every army need to be at least ok in magic/prayers? I think the answer is no!

    but I !! FEEL LIKE !! (it is a feeling guys, That means it Must not be a fact) thats what GW does. And that feels really Bad. Every army gets More and More the Same playstyle.
    1 or 2 years ago it felt much more like every army is special.

    more rules does Not always mean a better game, but it would give the game much more deepness if every army feels like it’s unique.

    I would play something like:

    1 LoA

    4 BL, 2 BL, 1 BL

    This in drowned man.

    It’s pretty Tanky and fast. But you Lack damage. It could be Pretty much fun!😅

     

    My match against Lizards went well.

    He played 2 Stegadons, 1 Slann, 1 Bastilladon, 2*5 chameleon skinks, 5 guards, 5 lizards on lizards, 2 priests, 1 Flagg bearer.

    First the cons: Spellcasting is realy not good with Nurgle! I just popped 2 spells of in the hole game! Bad rolls and bans where the reasons. The badest unit was the sorc. He did absolutely nothing. Just  shield ones, wich did not change anything because the other unit got targeted.🤷🏼‍♂️ Then died to shooting und turn 3. another con is the lag of damage. Against high armor targets we realy need to grind it out. (Wich worked fine!) 4“ is really ridiculous slow!

    pros: the GuO is a absolut Monster.

    8 wounds in turn 1. my turn 2 wounds left. Awesome! He can crush nearly any enemy! I realy think I try a List with two of them. The BL are worth every point! The fast movement und the reserving with the LoA is really strong.

  3. Sorry for the double post, but I am going to play another game today against lizards.

    My List will be:

    1 GUO, Bileblade, Bell, Fleshy Abundance, Tome of thousand Poxes in Warlord

    1 LoA, Living Plague in Warlord, General!

    1 Rotbringer Sorc, Rancid in Warlord

    20 PB in Warlord

    2x5 BK in Hunters of the Heartland

    2 BL in Hunters of the Heartland

    1 BL

    1 Burning Head

    My Plan is to put the LoA and the BL in Reserve to be a threat in Turn 1. Walk up with the rest with and hopefully win the objective game.

    I will tell you how the game went, what changes I would do, what performed well and wich unit ***** balls.

  4. I Take the example of the New Nurgle battletome.
    Is it S Tier? - probably no!

    is it fluffy? - Yeah much More than the Last tome!

    is it a Good tome? - absolutely!

    in my opinion a tome should fill the fluff of an army! And over all the tomes should be balanced. Ofc that is not 100% possible, but if all tomes got nearly the same power level (+-15%) it’s totally fine! 
    not every army needs units for every role! Tzeentch does not need an tanky unit! (Horrors aren’t tanky, they are just many!)

    nurgle does not need to shoot on range! 
    that’s why I think the Stormcast need to fill every role! Cause it’s fluffy since they arrived in AoS! 
    ofc they got overtuned units, but at least they got much more expensive.

    i think the new tomes are all fine! I hope they go on with that way.🤷🏼‍♂️

    i played a Game this weekend.

    my List was:

    Drowned Man (For pregame move)

    1 GUO, General, -1 to hit, witherstave 

    1 Fecula

    1 The Wurmspat

    20 PB

    5 BK

    5 BK

    2 BL

    2 BL

    1990P

    I played against Stormcast.

    My List worked Fine overall. Its tanky, and „fast“ enough for mid Field objectives.

    Next time i would cut 1 troup of BK and fecula to Play roatspawned and 3 PD.

    I won by 2 points in the end.

    I always liked horrors, but they Need updated rules to balance them and Not just a dumb Point increase…. You wont balance them, you just stop seeing them. Why not include something like in 40k that you Need to buy Blues and brimstones? Then you got a cheap demon battleline but Not an op or opressive one. If i want them as big blob, i pay the points!🤷🏼‍♂️

    Yeah I liked cult of summoners always the most and i think this Could work just Fine with acolytes now.

    40 more points to a Unit wich sees nearly no More then 10 Models in every Game cause they are this ***** expansive….. that is not what helps to balance the Horrors….. thats just something you do if you dont want to See them anymore……

    You Need this without that stratgems from 40k! Without the Double Turn Good Players would just win like 80% + Games of they Go First!

    I think we get a priest! The harbinger Could be an excellent one.

  11. I would not worry this much! We will get new abilities. Ofc you will miss old stuff, but it is always like that. I think we wont get worse with new book. We just get better. 
    And i think the mortal side will be buffed. Because gw trys to make all the Chaos faction more mortal based That you can not play them in 40k and aos.🤷🏼‍♂️

  12. Thanks for the help, but i cant Field that much allied units at all. And the general cant be an allie too. I Need to take something from the Codex. The Problem is with just 600P to get enough bodies.🤷🏼‍♂️
     

    The skullreapers are f****** expensive for what they do.😅

  13. We Start our second ptg campaign next week and I wanted to try my Khorne stuff. We start with 600P and i wanted to field this:

    The Goretide

    1 Bloodsecrator

    1 Lord on Juggernaut (General)

    20 Reavers

    5 Wrathmongers

    595P

    The Lord ist totaly Tanky because of the artefact and „fast“.

    The Rest is Buffstacking.🤷🏼‍♂️
    What do you guys think? Is this a Good Start? I got Lots of bodies and Good damage with them.

    Wow, you are Right. I checked that myself now and you can do that! But you need to kill that pink first again.😅

    When the dice is rolled, this is when Rerolls happen. Before modifiers. So the witherstave would trigger here. Once the rerolls are finished this is the UNmodified roll. Whatever 6  is on the table is what would trigger one last gift. Then you apply modifiers and resolve wound rolls. 
     

    So the one last gift is not as effective with the witherstave but they still do work. The same for if opponents have “exploding” 6s and you have the witherstave. They roll their dice. Then witherstave makes you reroll the 6s. They do so. That’s then the UNmodified roll. Whatever 6s are left after the witherstave would then proc their effects. So the opponent can’t simply choose to ignore the witherstave. It’s not a triggered ability on a 6… it happens BEFORE the trigger because of the nature of the game (rerolls always happen before modifiers)

    Yeah that is the way you have to play it. Makes totally sense and sounds logical.
