For destruction I keep thinking that the obvious ork head is a Iron Jawz or Bonesplitters and the other symbols as something non Orks (I don't imagine them doing two Ork factions). I could see that mystery symbol maybe being beastmen of some type or Ogors, but the Ogors seem more likely after it being called out specifically that Ogors are represented in the Iron Golem chaos band. Most of my brainspace is trying to figure out which realm each chaos band will be connected to (since Iron Golem is specifically called out as Chamon I suspect this trend to continue), but I just had a tin foil hat moment for why we are missing the third Death Faction. What if it is inspired by Tomb Kings? Would make sense to exclude that if they are actually planning a rerelease later (I admit this is pure speculation, but would be a cool twist)

Just wanted to point out on the missing 9th faction that it was hinted on twitter by one for the GW guys that the last faction is death (three for each except death on the symbols) I am leaning to some sort of Ogor faction for the top left mystery symbol, although I was thinking BCRs for some reason.

I just realized if the Fungus vs Forest thing has a squig based goblin force, I can probably hold off on finishing my 2k squigs and split the box with someone. (Especially if it means a plastic Loonboss on Giant Squig)

Really want there to be more to Forbidden Power than just those endless spells. (I'll settle for some battleplans and artefacts, but really want a campaign for raiding the vaults.)

I would not be surprised if those Fyreslayer endless spells (invocations) are going are going to be similar to the Khorne ones mechanically

Still trying to figure out all the warbands for warcry. ??, DoK, ?? (vampires), Gloomspite, Idoneth, ??(Orks, but which ones), Night Haunts, Stormcast are my current guesses going counterclockwise from the top.

All Squigs (well almost all Squigs) definitely works. I won a local Path to Glory today with an army that was all Squigs and one Fungoid Shaman to cast Squig Lure. Loonboss on Mangler Squig is just mean, the squig herd is mean, and the squig cavalry options are both mean as well.

I have to hope that updated KO is on possibly on that list if the conversation I had with my daughter earlier is correct. (Looking highly likely that she's entering the hobby with a KO start collecting box)

They already have prayers as a thing, this just seems to be the Prayer version of Endless Spells. Maybe more factions will get them in the future.

I was kinda lumping skills, experience, and not having pre-made characters in with the solid customization rules. My personal hope is that the warbands are very broad ideas (maybe realm based) that I can then filter down to the weird flavor of chaos I want.

Things I want from this game: solid rules that let me brawl on boards full of terrain, the ability to devote any of the warbands to any of the chaos gods, expansions that add in other GA based warbands, and really solid customization rules.

I would be happy if there was a campaign rule structure in it about chasing artefacts through the realms or some such. Something like Urban Conquest, but for AoS

I'm pegging Update #3 as the announcement to be the BIG one (since it would be the end of the night for the actual show), but since that falls into tomorrow for the UK I'm not 100%.

Still super early, but here are the initial 5 for the Path of Glory warband.

And he's backed up by a rainbow of Squig bounderz at the moment. The end result is going to be a tide of killer skittles/easter eggs of doom when the painting is done.

Quick update. Played two games for Path to Glory and neither Stormcast nor Nighthaunts could withstand the might of the mangler squig who refused to fight fair. The Doppelganger Cloak was definitely the right call with Fight Another Day.

Recap: My current Path to Glory list is: Leaders: Loonboss on Mangler Trait: Fight Another Day Artefact: Doppleganger Cloack Fungoid Shaman Lore Spell: Squig Lure Units: 5x Bounderz So now that I know what my initial warband will be, what should plan to add for my first followers? (We are playing where we roll to either get a boon or follower, but if you get a follower you can pick instead of rolling on a follower table). I obviously already have another 5 bounder built, I also have another box I was planning to build as Hoppers, a Squig Herd Box, a fanatics box, and a goblapalooza box. We also aren't allowing Battalions (kinda broke the last Path to Glory that the store ran) The current thought is to add the five other bounders and then some sporespallas to screen my wizard. Does this sound like pure foolishness? Should I be looking at the herd? Any advice would be helpful.

That's just... mean. Basically from what I just read the only way I would actually get attacked back is if I couldn't make the Fight Another Day move (from rolling two low, or getting surrounded in a way where I can't end my move 3 away). That is insane... I'm totally using it!
