  1. I could use some advice actually, I really appreciate you making this thread. I recently acquired the following: - 30 hammerers - 30 ironbreakers - 20 longbeards - Warden King - Runelord - gyrobomber Can you suggest any lists that would work well with this as a core? I was thinking maybe a Living City one with the ironbreakers protecting some shooting units that start on the board, then the rest turn up on the sides and charge. Thank ye kindly!
  2. The 45pt leader is absolutely a typo, there's no way they'd make him cheaper than a regular Clanrat. As far as list writing goes I'm assuming the Clanrat Leader is supposed to be 145pts, if he ends up being less than that then at least I haven't gained any advantage for that. I think the giant rats deserve a lot of consideration, they're very fragile but 35pts and Move 8 is an excellent combo.
  3. Oversight certainly, I think they tend to have a blind spot when it comes to what people do without specific restrictions. They've said many times that the models get produced first and then rules are written to best represent the models - including weapons. They probably saw the Thunderers kit had 1 each of every special weapon and assumed most players would use it like that, with only 1 of each special weapon per 5 Thunderers.
  4. You can play casually and still get all the rules right. MWG's issue has nothing to do with them being casual and everything to do with them not reading the rules properly.
  5. Why must they be bland? A stormcast player would be sacrificing their own allegiance and storm host abilities for that of the free city, they'd have to be pretty good to compete with that.
  6. Where are you getting this information from? I understand from reading the thread that there was a leak at some point (I think the eBook was briefly up for purchase accidentally), but despite some concerted searching I haven't found anything about Harvestboon. Is there a link somewhere to other pages, or would you be so kind as to list the changes here? Thanks!
  7. My troggboss is mainly identified by his battered captain's hat. Sailing ability not included.
  8. Thanks for the reply! Due to how Bound Beneath Indomitable Will is worded though, I'm not sure how big a benefit it is? Since it works on a per-model basis rather than a per-unit basis like Deathless Spirits. With Deathless Spirits, when a model from a unit wholly within 12" is allocated a wound, you get to try to save it. With BBIW, the model itself needs to be within 12" to get the extra save, so practically speaking it still needs to be close to a Hero. Maybe that is a bigger deal than I rate it, but it seems pretty insignificant considering the requirements to get it.
  9. Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but I can't see the point in the benefit given by the Nighthaunt Procession megabattalion. Isn't it identical to the benefit we already receive from Deathless Spirits? Or am I missing something obvious?
  10. This may just be wishful thinking on my part, but I don't think they'd be putting out all these tidbits of background info (stoking the hype fire as it were) if the Overlords weren't going up for pre-order within the next few weeks. The whole reason GW stopped announcing releases before about a week prior was because there was a drop-off in interest after the initial reveal, by the time the new release actually happened people had moved on. They'd want to take advantage of the hype they've generated and not overextend themselves. I think the safe bet is on the first few weeks of April, maybe pre-orders for the first wave up on the 1st with the releases stretched out over the following weeks.
