  2. Thats the one. Yeah want to see more as well kind of hoping they have more generic mages then the martial focused heros can be "the Light"and all the wardens.
  3. Just spit balling regarding heroes. What if the unit leaders are mini heroes able to take artifacts/traits? They did have something early on about the unit leaders being fairly significant. Could work like a Bonereaper Hekatos on steroids. This could increase hero options whilst only releasing a couple of generic mages.
  4. My crazy list to get beaten up by the new elves. No monsters. Quick lore- super old Strigoi King and Queen (Archregents) with failing delusion (probably due to the rise of the Lumineath realm lords). As their subjects delusions waver and they can see there macabre surrounds and feel the changes there body has been through, causes madness and they mutilate and gouge their eyes out (everyone except the Archregents have there eyes drilled out). Deranged transformation for movement bonus on horrors and Bloodfeast on the aggressive Archregent. General lore wise is Varghulf as he was the general of their armies before the madness, crunch wise he can pick and choose his targets easier to make use of the hollowmourne Trait and artifact (+1 attack and damage near hero with artifact and D3 mortals on +2 when you charge, Hollowmourne allows him to reroll 1's to wound on charge as well). Pretty scary if he can get all his buffs on the right target. He will mostly suicide into something big with an artifact and frenzy. Probably summon 2x ghouls most games to help with numbers and objectives but will be fun to throw 3 varghulfs at things sometimes. Will play fairly conservative with the bulk of the army and try not to over extend. Attendants at the court will allow the horrors to still get buffs if they get dragged out of range of Archregents if there is opportunities to alpha strike with deranged transformation. Will die to ranged armies that use screens well, but I'm keen on it and have some extensive conversions in the process.
  5. Thanks for the feedback! Hadn't even thought of the royal mordants battalion, great idea! will drop my drops as well. ZD is definitely my preferred biggen as i can summon more Varghulfs. I will try a list without the battalion and shave some points to try it. Gotta have them CP's.

Varghulf general is for character hunting. +1 to attacks and Damage within 3" characters with artifacts and on a 2+ D3 mortals from Hollomourne trait and artifact. Chalice + all the courtiers provide healing as does blood fest spell. Abattoir battalion gives more mortals which are important due to low amount of rend. Horrors hit things. List is for fairly casual games, i wanted to use the abattoir batallion so that led me to Hollomourne. I also dont feel like using the BIG BOIS so the trait and artifact where wasted on regents, but they look pretty interesting on a Varghulf. Fluff for army covers why the Vargulf is the general. My host is very old. The King and Queen's madness has absorbed them and they often spend years in a slumber. The Varghulf general commands the host and makes sure their is food available in their labyrinth of caves for the King and Queen. All of the grunts have gouged their eyes out as they briefly slip out of their delusion often due to the waning power of the regents. Seeing the hell that they inhabit as a nightmare of their reality. Means i don't have to paint eyes, which is great.... Let me know what you think, I haven't seen may Varghulf's in lists as they are better to summon, but i thought these artifacts made it worth paying for.

  8. First games of Aos on the weekend, very casual, definitely playing against skaven and bonesplitterz. I want a reason to finish the bulk of my ghouls, so i'm going ghoul heavy. Here is my list. Grand Court: Court of Delusion - The Feast Day LEADERS Abhorrant Archregent (200) - General - Command Trait : Dark Wizardy - Artefact : The Dermal Robe - Lore of Madness : Blood Feast Varghulf Courtier (160) UNITS 40 x Crypt Ghouls (360) 20 x Crypt Ghouls (200) ENDLESS SPELLS Chalice of Ushoran (40) Cadaverous Barricade (30) TOTAL: 990/1000 EXTRA COMMAND POINTS: 0 WOUNDS: 75 Probably could go Morghaunt, but i want to try the +2 cast on the Archregent. Spent points on Varghulf rather then summon to get some ghouls up the board quicker with the summon, also left room to get barricade as well to try and pick my spots easier seeing as this army is fairly slow. Main combo is extra attacks on big block of ghouls, supported by Varghulf. Archregent stays behind ghouls and casts blood feast and Chalice at +2 for wound healing. Let me know what you think, ill let you know how i go on Sunday.
  9. First contract! will post pics once i finish drybrushing hair. I have 40 ghouls, 1 terrorgheist, 3 horrors/flayers im going to magnetize and the 3 endless spells. i would say they are all about 60% done. Stretch would be to have one of my carrion empire halves built and based.
