  1. I have negative interest levels in an index edition because it's just another hint that we're getting changes similar to 10E 40K and I LOATHE most of the changes they made in 10E. I didn't even like 40K that much to start with, I just have zero desire to see similar changes made to AoS. I'm fully prepared to sit out the whole edition if it comes to that.
  2. This is actually a character from the very first broken realms story, which explored how he become a Bonesplitter.
  3. Love the new Kroot, but five dogs to a box seems guaranteed to be overcosted in real money. At least it's gonna be a better deal than Dire Bats, probably.
  4. We already have spoilers on that though, and it seems So it's not like he's making a directed effort to wipe them out. Also the preview for Book 5 says they are saved in some capacity by the Croneseer so it's not over for them yet.
  5. The preview for Book 5 says that the Ghyran crusade is rescued by the new DoK character, so they do not appear to be out of the running yet.
  6. There's no reason to think anything will happen with those models one way or another. The new Orc and Goblin's rules allow you to take Squig Hoppers with spears and armor (Y'know Bounders) even though that's a brand new AoS model and that option never existed in the old rules and there's no chance in hell of that kit getting reboxed and moved to TOW. The separation between the games is not an inflexible iron curtain.
  7. Yes, to be "released later" and it's not even necessarily the same kit used in AoS.
  8. Right, but they're not being listed as part of the release. To me, that indicates that they will not be reboxed for TOW, same for Night Goblins and Spider Riders. Which is completely fine, people can just get those models from the AoS webstore and buy bases as needed.
  9. Right, the thing is making a humanoid looking horse elemental is one thing, strange, but doable. Making a humanoid Seahorse or Hippocampus OTOH...the mind boggles at the complexity of trying to make a humanoid merhorse work visually.
  10. There are many water spirits all across Hysh and across the realms, that's why River Temple is supposed to be the most common and numerous of them all. This warband trying to awaken a specific river is of no more consequence than the LRL underworlds warband being sent to pacify the spirit of Beastgrave.
  11. None of the added characters in the warband are from the novels. Silver Shard did have an elven rogue character but her name was Shev and seem unrelated to the new girl. Basically it's like what they did with Blacktalon, everything except the titular character(s) are a retcon. In any case it looks like all the newbies are associated with Hammerhall specifically while Callis and Toll are from Excelcis so it kinda makes sense that there's no overlap.
  12. Yeah I only bought two books in the series, one and three but while I enjoy reading the narrative stuff they are just not worth the huge outlay of buying them all, and while the rules content is neat I'm not dumb enough to expect any of it to survive contact with 4E. You could buy half an AoS army for what it would cost to get all six books, and they're not easy to get discounted either, stock is pretty low with 3rd parties in my experience.
  13. Love the croneseer, the Lumineth, and Callis and Toll. Adore the new Kroot. Liked the new ghosts even though they're not usually my jam. Meh on the zombies, could not care less about the HH stuff. All-in-all a very good review that is very bad news for my wallet.
  14. I think odds are high that they will unveil the fifth dawnbringer book for this preview, there's two AoS videos, they've already shown the cover for DB4 and I'm almost certain it'll be up for pre-order soon, it's time to get previews rolling forwards to the next thing.
  15. GW has said as much themselves. From the beginning Underworlds was conceived as a way to monetize the test sculpts that the design team is constantly making anyways.
  16. Lumineth for sure. That's the same headcrest as we saw in the AoS new years teaser. Also worth remembering that only the temple units for LRL have animal crests on their helmets.
  17. I'm generally dubious of any rumors that indicate big balance changes less than six months away from a new edition release.
  18. A lot of the recent lore is specifically leaning into fauns so I'm confident on that front. The Belthanos dawnbringer story mentions both Fauns and Centaurs, and there's a recent White Dwarf short story about the Wild Hunt that seems to indicate that even humans who accept the call of the Wild Hunt can be turned into Fauns.
  19. We're getting deep into conspiracy territory now, huh?
  20. Really hard to gauge this one, since half of it is pushfit Dominion models. Also who plays Stormcast and doesn't have a Yndrasta at this point? I wish this announcement included one more Spearhead box so that we could get a better idea of the format and possible pricing.
  21. Right, especially with all the Beastmen releases we do have for AoS being in the classic brayherd style, and even the newest book doubling down on that quite heavily in their updated lore.
  22. I'm getting the increasing feeling that people saying Beastmen have no lore direction in AoS absolutely did not read their newest battletome, it's full of cool lore and new characters and concepts.
  23. I'm not anticipating a surprise army drop either, but what I will say is, if there were any plans for one it will have to come out before 4E no matter what it does to the schedule. It's why almost every new edition release has a crunch beforehand, all those new unit boxes, battletomes etc that were designed for one edition are not going to get "delayed" into the next edition, they will be pushed out instead. That said, again, there doesn't seem to be anything pointing to chorfs or some other new army coming out in the next few months.
