  1. Then why not say it? Why not mention bases at all in the official announcement? Why have a "...?" at the end of "shape of things to come"? Square bases are synonymous with Fantasy Battle, so it's a valid way of teasing things. But since this is a different game called The Old World, it could be they just wanted to evoke the lore and feel of the setting, instead of setting the gameplay in stone. What has been confirmed is that Old World is to Age of Sigmar, as Horus Heresy is to 40k. A source of background for the lore, sure, but you can also easily use many HH figures in 40k. They're not rival products, like The Old World would be with square bases. Makes no sense to bring different bases, IF the scale is same. But maybe I'm speculating in vain, and RuneBrush actually heard the words.
  2. Sorry to have to ask, but did they directly say that squares are back? This is huge breaking news if true, would be the first ever confirmation for this. All GW has officially done is some teasing that confirms nothing. A meme that says "Everything comes round again" and a meme video, that has a thumbnail of a square base that says "The shape of things to come...?".
  3. Dread Maw gone in the US store. Gorgeous model with no way to ally it, I wonder why it didn't sell.
  4. I sent Forge World an email about asking about the mass removals of AoS, why not tell in advance about the departure of a model and will the rules be in use even after the fact. Here's the response from their customer service: "I am sorry to say I do not have the finer details of why any item leaves our range, range reviews and product discontinuations are decisions made by our upper management team. These lines are often phased out of our range quality, they are typically slow-selling items anyway but we also want to avoid individuals placing bulk orders for items before it sells out. From what we understand the rules will not be discontinued. Whilst ever rules are in print in a current edition publication they will be valid for friendly games but you may need to check with third party event organisers as they may disagree. I do not have a list of product that may be leaving the range but what I would say is that if you are interested in a range of or specific model for our own collection you should get them when you are able to rather than waiting and potentially being disappointed."
  5. Couple more AoS miniatures sold out in Forge World. Basilisk and Warpfire Dragon, in addition to the Fimirs and Tamurkhan. (Not all are yet gone in all regions, if you're checking) I don't think this is a coincidence anymore, looks like anything could be next. I just hope this means they're getting rid of something that doesn't sell, not getting rid of everything.
