  1. If they're going to give us new dragons in AoS, give us crazy ones. Dragons made from realmstone or something.
  2. I'm going to argue that Lifetakers and Heartrenders should come down to 70. Their main advantage was being able to drop in any battle round, but that's been taken away. They're 5 models that die to anything, and they don't really do any damage. You put witchbrew and mindrazor on some lifetakers on round 3 and they'll perform...moderately. Heartrenders are pretty pathetic, with a statistical average of 1-2 wounds per shooting phase. I think they're too weak to participate in the battle unless they have ALL the buffs (but why aren't you giving those to a better unit?), and we have enough teleportation in the army that deep striking isn't a huge necessity. They're just not worth their points anymore, especially in our magic/shooting meta.
  3. 100 points is perfect to fill out lists. We don't need ANOTHER 120-140 point unit. They have great mobility, but they won't do much damage and die to a strong breeze. Capping them to 18 per unit was also smart, as it effectively reduces their maximum buff efficiency, meaning you can't roll around with a giant murder blob a la Witch Elves.
  4. Hell yeah. I was worried they were going to overprice them. Now the question remains, will they make a x2 AoS box later like the original warbands?
  5. It's going to be some tiny base element that tangentially relates to the focal model.
  6. Zoombinis is already the deadliest wargame.
  7. Ogor Box: 1060 + aleguzzler (which I think is 160?) Gitz Box: 940 (max value using troggboss/bounders) Tzeentch Box: 1180 Don't know about the KO, I honestly can't tell the ships apart.
  8. Because the giant update aimed at lifting up snake/bat builds ended up making those armies worse. Morathi is awesome...but everything else falls flat on its face.
  9. Real narrative progression with in-game consequences are exactly what I want from AoS. I'm curious if the Newborn will just be Slaanesh 2.0, or if it shapes into some new, unforeseen Chaos god. I'm also happy Morathi finally got what she wanted. She's definitely put in the work.
  10. The top of the page with Cobra Kai's rules. When you pick the Daughters of Khaine allegiance for your army, you can say it will be a Zainthar Kai army. If you do so, it has access to the Temple of Khaine rules at the bottom of this page and can include the warscroll battalions to the right.
  11. I understand why they chose to change it. They didn't want 20 snakes charging in and doing almost guaranteed 10+ mortals. But there's a better answer here than running Crystal Touch into the ground. This whole thing was supposed to make snakes a competitive choice against elves. Maybe with enough yelling, they'll take heed and change it in 6 months.
  12. So I guess we go back to waiting for a proper DoK 2.0 battletome. *sigh*
  13. I just desperately want them to FAQ that crystal touch "at the end of combat" nonsense; and bring Stalkers back down to 120. I'm fine with everything else.
  14. Crystal Touch should have been "after this unit finishes its attacks." The fact that it's at the end of combat, within 1", is a huge problem. I guarantee there'll be a ton of situations where you won't get to use Crystal Touch at all, even though you're still technically engaged in combat with someone. It's a rule that's going to leave people with plenty of feelbad moments, and it didn't have to be this way.
  15. Blood Sisters indeed got nerfed. Their ability is the Ironscale's "Turned to Crystal" now (end of combat 3+ to do a mw). It's worth noting that you only need one Melusai to be within 1" of an enemy unit and you roll for every Melusai---it's no longer a 1" reach weapon for each snake. But because it's at the end of combat, you could easily run into a situation where enemies have been removed from with in that range, completely negating your mw ability. Also Heartrenders gained the standard deep strike clause that requires them to be on the battlefield by the 4th battle round.
  16. Dammit, I would have considered Stalkers at 120. Did they really think a terrible, underperforming unit deserved being pushed up in points just because it got an extra attack?
  17. Oh my lord Blood Stalkers have 2 shots with their bows now! You can see it in the warscroll card preview for Shadow & Pain.
  18. Fury of the Shadowborn is amazing. And as someone said before, not needing her to be your general to use the CA is exactly what we wanted. Anticipating the Heart of Khaine rule will be gone, though. I'm willing to bet she sacrifices the artifact to empower her ritual.
  19. With how squishy the snakes are, I don't see how this ability is any use. You activate the Ironscale first, maybe she kills something, but then your big snake unit gets attacked before they can do anything, and likely, most of them die. And it's until the end of the phase, so it's not even like you can try to set some strategic maneuvering up for a future turn. Unless Morathi gets the Melusai keyword, what's the point?
  20. +1 Bravery is like a joke ability that people come up with. I can't believe it's real. Unless we see a bunch of new reasons to have high bravery, this is total garbage, even with Mindrazor. Think about how many armies have flat 10 bravery. Are people going to take the slightly higher chance at having a better Mindrazor (against some armies) over global rerolls to hit and 5+ ward? Or even Khailebron's global -1 to shoot and teleport. +1 Bravery...geez. That Shrine Brood is also nothing. And I use a Bloodwrack Shrine! Why make it so you need 2 of them? Why make the ability so terrible? I don't understand the thinking behind this at all.
  21. Rumour engine is definitely reminiscent of an ogor glutton's weapon. I've painted enough of them. I'll guess it's for a Gutbuster-themed warband for Underworld/Warcry
