  1. Wasn't Teclis always the ugly brother? There's also something Idonethy about him, which sort of makes sense? Overall a pretty cool model, but probably the weakest of them for me.
  2. Your certainly right that we have to consider more than start and finish. The actually movement is also essential. So here's how I see it: We have to move Nagash onto the building, and then far enough forward so that we can tilt his base into a vertical postion. Let's say the midpoint of his base. Then we tilt him forward to a vertical position. We now used all of the 9" movement. But since Nagash is a flyer, he can ignore vertical movement. So now we slide him downwards along the building wall, until he is within 0,5" of the clanrats. Seen from above this would be a 9" move. For a non-flying unit, we would also have to consider vertical movement, bringing this to more than 9". But since a flyer ignores vertical movement, this is still a 9" move, as seen from straight above. Am I missing something?
  3. Any unit can "stand" on vertical surfaces (even if the physical model can't). So there should be no problem with Nagash ending his move in position 3 in @Isotopdrawing. And since flying ignores vertical distance, then the pink dot would be within 9" of it's original position, which would be a successful charge in that case. Right?
  4. Isn't that the only right way to do it?
  5. In the rules subforum there is the possibilty of up- and downvoting answers. This changes the order that those answers are displayed. In some cases, that makes it very hard to follow the back and forth that oftens occurs in such threads. Can we please get rid of the reordering of answers in the rules section? Example of such a thread:
  6. If you want to go a pure clan (e.g. Skryre), then the general has to be Skryre or Masterclan. And then all other units has to belong to that single clan. The good thing about it, is that it makes certain units battleline (Acolytes and Stormfiends for Clans Skryre). While if you go mixed (i.e. Skaventide allegiance) then you can take any hero as your general. But then only clanrats and stormvermin can be used a battleline. But all other units can come from any clan.
  7. Which can easily be buffed to 4 shots, and given rerolling 1s to hit. And then there's the bravery attack.... Terrifying presence: "Substract 10 from the bravery characteristic of @gronnelgfor each Mortek Crawler currently on the board."
  8. Holy cow! Those are some ambitious goals! Good luck with that! Personally hoping to finish 3-4 units of Skaven in 2019
  9. Recently I played a game were my opponent could see through a hole in a buidling. He could't really "see" the model per se, but noticed change in the light trough the hole when I moved the model. We couldn't really decided, so we just rolled for it.
  10. Per the rules, if any part of a unit sees any part of another unit, then the units have line of sight. My question is about what you guys typically houserule?
  11. OBR are a great match up for us too? Really?? I thought OBR was a pretty tough match-up for us?
  12. @GwendarI really fear mortek crawlers. As the OBR player will get to choose who goes first, I'm likely losing half my jazzails, acolytes, or both, before they can do anything. I made the grey seer my general, to give him verminous valour, so he can survive one regular shot from a crawler. But yeah, ideally vigourdust for increased damage output.
  13. What do you guys think about this list? I obviously have OBR in mind, but it think it could work against other armies too? Allegiance: Skaventide Mortal Realm: Ghur Leaders Arch-Warlock (160) - Artefact: Gryph-feather Charm - Lore of Warpvolt Galvanism: More-more-more Warp Power! Grey Seer (140) - General - Trait: Verminous Valour - Lore of Ruin: Skitterleap Grey Seer on Screaming Bell (240) - Lore of Ruin: Warpgale Battleline 40 x Clanrats (200) - Rusty Spear 20 x Clanrats (120) - Rusty Spear 20 x Clanrats (120) - Rusty Spear Units 5 x Gutter Runners (60) 5 x Gutter Runners (60) 30 x Skryre Acolytes (320) 9 x Warplock Jezzails (420) Endless Spells / Terrain / CPs Extra Command Point (50) Warp Lightning Vortex (100) Total: 1990 / 2000 Extra Command Points: 1 Allies: 0 / 400 Wounds: 162
  14. OK. So sniping the harvesters is really the first step. And then some more shooting for the mortek guards themselves. @Gwendardo you find that a Skaven list tuned to kill OBR can still compete against other armies in a tournament? @Skreech Verminkingwhat is this - 3 rend weapon of which you speak?
  15. So guys. I had my first games against OBR the other day. Mortek guard in petrifex. Damn. They simply cannot be killed. The harvester close by didn't help. I charged them with stormvermin (ubbuffed due to circumstances) and ended up killing four. Yes, you read that right. So takeaway points for me: you cannot fight an OBR army. We have to use movement shenanigans, and play the objective game. How are people dealing with OBR?
  16. If you can heal up to three wounds, or return a number of slain models with a combined wounds characteristic of 3 wounds or less, then you can only return 1 model with two wounds, right? E.g. Arkhans ability.
  17. Thanks for a great battle report! Personally I would be terrified of using your list. It feels so frail in a way. Like you don't have any hammer units (well... Except for the hero killing corruptor). Would you say that on average you can offset this by doing enough damage with spells? I guess you also have quite a bit movement control with some of those endless spells, and the warpseer spell.
  18. So wait, are Legion of Azgorh getting a battletome? When?
  19. I salute you good rat! Thanks for another splendid analysis! Looking forward to more in the future. If you could do some strategy guides that would be great!
  20. Finally the warscroll! Can someone mathhammer the new warscroll? Which is better - staves of blades? @Ineffectual Clawlord ? Edit: Oh wait guys.... From the wording it seems that even with blade and stave, you only use one the attack characteristics, instead of both as it was before?
  21. Those are some very valid points! So I guess unless he goes all in on the crawlers I should be able to cope. Also an insightful point about crawlers being good in general, but very good against Skaven. In tournament settings an OBR player would still have to make a balanced all round list, and not go all in on crawlers.
  22. You sir, are a true GentleRat! I appreciate these posts that you make! Cool to se the breadth of units taken!
  23. Guys - how do you feel about taking plague monks, without taking a plague furnace?
  24. @Skreech VerminkingThanks for the feedback. I thought that since I was getting stormvermin (and clanrats), then the clawlord would be nice. But as you see it, the clawlord doesn't add much to this list? I fear that the stormvermin will be ineffctive against mortek guards. In pretrifex I believe they get 3+ rerolling against melee? So even stormvermin buffed by the clawlord might not be enough. What scares me the most are mortek crawlers though. With the special attacks he could take out insane amounts of clanrats and stormvermin. And with their regular shoots minor heroes aren't safe. Which is why I gave my clawlord verminous valor, and buffer my warlock bombardier to an arch-warlock with gryph feather charm. I need the arch warlock alive to buff my stormfiends! To some extent I guess the warpfire throwers work as DISTRACTION CARNIFEX for the crawlers. Possible letting other important units survive another turn.
