I have toyed with idea of running a smaller more elite 1k list of just Longbeards as a front line. 1 Warden King 120 1 Runelord 100 20 Longbeards 200 20 Longbeards 200 20 Irondrakes 360 I find it mostly funny because in my head the two main frontlines would just yell and grumble at each other when not doing the same to their lords or the Irondrake units, engaging in heated argument with each other. Mental image is hilarious to me.

Ah yes, I did forget to mention both the warriors and longbeards are wielding both 2h axes and shields. I picked Thunderers for precision and because if I use Quarrelers I would prefer 30.

On Sunday, I will he participating in a local tourney for AoS. Store is pretty laid back with friendly players and owner, and the game will be 1000 points. (Owner of the store used to he a dwarf player during fantasy and seems really happy I'm fielding Dispossessed.) List is simple and straightforward: 1 Warden King, 1 Runelord, 20 Warriors, 20 Ironbreakers, 20 Thunderers, and 10 Longbeards

I'm not sure any of that would fit. Steam suits and sinilar vehicles are already done by Kharadron, and the Dispossessed theme is "tradition", AKA old school.

Question. Hopefully we don't lose access to cannons and the like, but what opinions would y'all have about running Celestar Balista if I'm dead set or insisting on running some for of artillery? And in a 2k list would that leave me room to squeeze in either a Lord Ordinator or a mage? Or is it better to just run multiple bolt throwers?

That's what I'll do then. I certainly see the logic. Also action economy of 20 extra potential melee attacks is also great.

I was going over my list and I had a question. I'm thinking of bumping down to one Cannon, using a gunmaster as the Engineer, which, if my math is correct, leaves me 80 points. Would bumping my Ironbreakers from 20 to 30 be best, or should I grab a Grimwrath Berzerker?

Thanks for all the feedback everyone! I think for a fact I'll be adding the extra Longbeards as a separate unit for sure to spread my battle line a bit and offer more support across the field, and I'll see how my games go once I get into a position to play. I know I didn't pick the "easiest" or "best" faction based on where Dispossessed stand. But I have always loved fantasy dwarves, and I will play what I feel is fun and thematic for me. And if anyone else tries to tell me otherwise, they go in the book!

Greetings fellow Duardin! I'm very new to the hobby and collecting what I need for my armies. I wanted to post my preliminary lists and get some opinions from the old grumbling longbeards. This list is a bit of a flexible 2k list so recommendations are welcome. I have a 1k list almost built to get started soon. Warden Kingx1 120 Runelordx3 300 Hammerersx30 420 Ironbreakersx20 280 Irondrakesx20 360 Longbeardsx10 100 Cannonsx2 320 I was thinking if I swap out one Cannon for an Organ gun, it alliws me to either run an extra Organ gun for three artillery pieces, or run two pieces and put the Longbeards at 20. Perhaps also swap out a Runelord for another Hero?
