  1. I was thinking of replacing his with the CSL on Manticore -- great anti-horde spell, can fly, decently tanky, and can cast Oracular on self. Still, losing Daemonic is really going to hurt. Anyone know any other allied wizards we can add for a quick buff? I fear our army is getting binned next GHB.
  2. Bye Bye Chaos Sorcerer Lord's Daemonic Power spell, which I've used consistently to buff Taur'ruk & K'daai. Now only applies to Mortal STD units.
  3. Until I get my Demigryph Knight up-and-at-'em, might try running this Mercenary Company in Hammerhal: Order of the Blood Drenched Rose
  4. For 2019, my tournament army was Legion of Azgorh because I loved their aesthetic, had them all painted, and only had to worry about a handful of rules and buffs (compared to a full tome army). I had a lot of fun with them. 2020 is going to be Cities of Sigmar and possibly Seraphon for me, depending on their new tome.
  5. Lost to FEC but only due to a last-minute tactical summon onto the second objective.
  6. Thankfully at 1K, I shouldn't see more than one, right?
  7. 8. I find it interesting too that the Excelsior Warpriest was a squatted model for Cities.
  9. Your response makes no sense. If you think GW has an agenda with the representation of their models and you oppose that agenda, well, by default, you have an agenda of your own. Otherwise, you wouldn't draw attention to your opposition. Lack of representation is unwelcoming, full-stop. There have been many psychology studies that bear that out. Objectively speaking, there is a need for female dwarfs as they've existed in the lore from the get-go.
  10. But you have an unspoken hidden agenda too, which is to keep Warhammer homogeneous and unwelcoming. AoS will die if it doesn't draw in the next generation of gamers and that generation wants a more inclusive game.
  11. Now the square base tease makes sense. My take-away is they will go with squares for this to ensure those of us on rounds have to either a) rebase (and make them a little money selling bases) or b) buy our armies again on squares (making them a lot of money). Glad I kept my Swifthawk Agents. Sad I invested heavily in Cities of Sigmar and this announcement pretty much ensures most of those models will port over in three years time and no longer be part of AoS.
  12. I prefer rounds: aesthetically and in terms of gameplay.
  13. I prefer physical. I got into this hobby to get away from screens. At the last tournament I played in, one of my opponents was texting throughout the game. It felt disrespectful. I don't mind someone using a phone or iPad to look up a rule or warscroll, I've done it myself. But the more tech that appears on the table, the more disruptive to the game that tech tends to be.
  14. Am toying around the Lancers battalion plus two Steam Tanks + Lord Ordinator over the Soulscream Bridge -- the combo could be a deadly Alpha Strike.
  15. I don't see Fimir or Tamurkhan coming back, sadly. Makes me concerned at Azgorh's days are numbered too.
  16. For the activation wars, I have a lot of drops and almost always get to go first. I take 3x Magma Cannons and try to kill the Heroes that trigger the activations.
  17. I'd be happy to give you a game if you are anywhere near NYC
  18. I'm here because at middle age, I finally decided to take the plunge.
  19. I imagine we will get a Witch Hunter and a Warrior Priest eventually but that's about it. I think CoS will have a strong run but I don't expect it to be around ten years from now.
  20. I agree that we need a Witch Hunter. Also a Warrior Priest. Hopefully regular and mounted versions.
  21. You should be able to do it with those units.
  22. Cities is awesome for Dispo! 30 Hammerers would be great and take to the Runelord buffs like a fish-to-water. For example, I ran Warden King-Runelord-10xHammerers in my 1K Tempest Eye list. I had the Warden King use his Ancestral Grudge ability on a unit of Bloodcrushers. Then Runelord Forgefire prayer on Hammerers. Then spent a CP on All-Out Attack. The Hammerers proceeded to do 6MW + 17 dmg, killing the Bloodcrusher unit. Awesome. Tempest Eye or Hammerhal are both good choices for Dispo. With TE, the extra mvt is handy. With HH, the extra CP will turn those Hammerers into killing machines.
  23. Played my Tempest Eye list with Warden King, Runelord, and Hammerers. Was fun to see my Dispo units doing well in a game. We beat up Fyreslayers!
