  1. Could you possibly post a downloadable version of all the different rules packed in one place ? Also, the limit on 2 wound models invalidates entire factions such as Ogres aswell as a great percentage of choices for other factions. Why not look for another way to limit multi wound models ? You could have in-game injuries to limit their effectiveness, say for example; whenever a model suffers a wound you roll on an injury chart and the model suffers a penalty until the end of the game (-1 move on a 2, -1 to hit on a 3 etc.. Or even suffers another wound on a 1). You could also introduce a limitation on wounds for warbands.

@Bostian It's super cool to see the whole progression through the years - also the lore is great - that last campaign seemed like a lot of fun.
  3. @SerialMoM Thank you ! I just copy backgrounds from pdf versions of official books and search online for clip art in PNG format. Everything is put together in Indesign. I'm still learning very slowly to make those layouts look somewhat professional. My advice would be to pay very close attention to what other people are doing with the layout for their own rules, be it GW or whoever - the rest is a process of trial and error but it's definitely not one of the hardest things in the world to do, like every software you just need time to get the hang of it. My end goal would be to finish a campaign supplement for skirmish with a peculiar setting and using their standard format (specific rewards of battle, terrain tables etc). The challenge is to create all the rules aswell as the clip art, backgrounds, maps and lore. It would be very gratifying to have such an ammount of personal input while still staying true to the AOS system and layout. Anyway if you want to share your ruleset, I'd be happy to read through it ! As far as my own rules go, I think they're basically finished. In the end I feel obliged to give a big thanks to Hinterlands and its creator, since what I've come up with are basically slight twists to hopefully simplify some of the mechanics from that ruleset and port them to standard AOS skirmish, with most of the same goals in mind. Below's a link to the pdf and another for the "easy print" version. https://drive.google.com/open?id=10EdBNrhSga1oRmKxQiirlft0j242qtGq https://drive.google.com/open?id=100JkBr5oDIOVPKVD4QF1pmo4lqIY3bsi
  4. Thanks @gabbi ! I've included that recently - here's what it looks like for now. It still very much a work in progress, there are some loose ends to tidy up.
  5. @Nacnudllah This looks great and super simple ! I've assimilated your idea and created a hybrid - it's definitely gonna make the post-battle stage a lot faster.
  6. Loved all the pics ? Hope to see more !
  7. Hey peoples ! ? I'm trying to work out some simple additional rules for skirmish, inspired by other GW publications and unofficial mods out there such as Hinterlands. Here's one for injuries (a la Kill Team but better imo) and another for gaining experience points and levels between games. Would this be the kind of stuff you guys would like to try out during your skirmish games/campaigns ? Hope to get some feedback and ideas of your own !

    Hi from Lyon, France

    Hi from Lyon, France

  13. These posts seem fairly useless but for traditions sake I thought I had to oblige. I've been lurking over here for quite some time and finaly decided to take part. I've been around the hobby for about 10 years (I'm 23) and I don't think I've ever finished painting an entire unit of the many armies I started to collect since I was first introduced to Tyranids, the love of my life. I've recently moved on to smaller, more manageable projects in the form of AOS skirmish warbands. The low model count lets me concentrate on the things I love most about the hobby, mainly modeling/converting, painting and character/story building. In this way I don't have to rush through models and can take my time on every individual. It's also much more friendly to boring "real life" concerns such as time and space constraints aswell as travel. Anyway, thanks for taking me onboard, fellow generals ! \o/

All of these are really interesting ! I'd love to know if there are some people around here who draw their own maps from scratch and by hand. It's something I've dabbled in once or twice some time ago just to try it out but I'd really like to properly work on one that's set in the AOS universe. It would be cool to get some tips on tackling such projects. :3 Anyway, I dug through my old files and found the first one I did all these years ago. It's VERY crude but meh, I like it. It brings back fond memories of a simpler time. :')
