  1. Hey guys Do we have a list somewhere of the new points? I have seen some lists using them, but they only use some of the models etc Would love a link / a dump of them here if possible Cheers!
  2. Here is the rule. Was one of the previewed ones which is noice. I read this wrong. Malakree is correct. As long as our unit is 9" away from a unit before the move it can move, if it took dmg in the phase.

  4. Hey Everyone Interested in the group opinion. Ironsunz / the other clans Verse No clan. I love some of the rules we get from the Clans, but the forced items can sometimes be a little less than desirable compared to say realm artifacts / Cmd traits etc This is my list. And my inclination is to go Ironsunz. But going no clan means I can deck out my MC to be a bit more of a Beatstick / survivable.   5. Hey Guys Just a quick tip. Burning head / most endless spells wont work on the bonus move. The dmg needs to originate from 9" away. I don't think any Endless spells dmg from that range. Maybe a Green puke if your lucky. Unless this has been clarified somewhere already as going the other way, I don't think we can make our own boys move at whim. Based on the tech that is available to us.
  6. Yep, Vhord is definitely a little behind in just raw hitting power. His Lance does have Rend 2 though which is nice. And his cmd ability is amazing (allows another ZD to pile in and attack in the hero phase) And his breath attack is amazing. Still worth taking, but the LoB allegiance really bumps up the basic ZD to beast mode.

  9. Seems like a fair assessment. Do you think Terrorgiests will make running our beast heavy lists a bit more tricky? The risk of multiple bodies doing 6 mortal wounds etc? Probably pretty Meta specific eh

  14. Ow another questions. If we run a NH army with NH allegiance and we ally in a Necromancer / Vampire lord. Do the spells and abilities of the N and V work on our units? Specifically the spell the nerco has VH for the double pile in and attack and the VL resing D3 models to 3 units with X? I can't see a reason why not, but I have not read the allies rules in depth yet as I previously have not considered them.
  15. Well isn't that lovely of GW to do this to us Fair fair, well assuming all the above is correct, then yeah on paper the Throne can totally stack those abilities. I feel it goes against the rules as intended.. but that is a whole other kettle of fish that I feel should be left unopened as when we get into intended the sky the limit. Anyway back to Nighthaunt. Who here has used the ghost horse small based guys. Glaivewraith stalkers. My mate is convinced they have a place as hero harassers and back-line harassment units, that can yoink objectives and 'kill' weak heros like mages etc And at only 60pts they arn't too hard to slot into a list. Anyone run a unit or two to any effect?
  16. That all said it says it applies to the bearer, which will be the Vamp Queen, not the whole Coven thrown. So she will get the above bonus's but the rest of the Throne wont. Same goes with Killing Blow I believe. Best way to think about it is like a mount. The Queen is the hero / lord etc and gets the buffs. The rest are just a very large very angry mount
  17. ^ this is correct. However you will run into a couple of issue. First: Your 5+ to hit mortal wounds will be removed from your wound dice lot. Second this will get errata'd soon is my guess, so I wouldn't go purchasing models around the mechanic. In the meantime this will still work, as you are stacking a Artifact & a trait, which both play off each other. The same way various Nurgle abilities etc stack to create improved likelihood of various outcomes. The key thing to take away here is: Does the ability description say unmodified or not. IF not that ability can be modified to your advantage or disadvantage. Happy to told otherwise, but based on everything I have read so far in the thread ^ is how it should work.
  18. You are better at math than I lol. So yeah a 60point jump, that is hard to pill. Especially for people running 3 units.
  19. So what do people think they will do if Grimgast Reapers get tweaked in the Jan FAQ? The units points changing doesn't phase my in itself, it is probably a fair change. But it will mean my current lists will not be usable any longer. Do you think other units may need a tweak to keep the faction overall in a healthy place or do you think we can absorb that change without to much hassle? I believe the most commonly suggested / theorised change at this point is their 30 man discount being removed, so they would become 380 points for 30 instead of 360, it may even go up a little more. I think the community feeling is they are too good and outshine other picks, and are problematic in LON (though that should be address with LON) That said I can't see an easy alternate choice even with the price hike, with a complete list rebuild required to keep most list healthy in tournaments etc
  20. Hey Mate Of your current models I would recommend Lady O. Use her various non magic ability to put D6 + D3 + D6 mortal wounds on it. Then Charge it with Spirit hosts for the 6+ mortal wounds. That said you need to get to it. Perhaps start them both in the ground? - this is a hard call and depends on your board / opponents list etc I would suggest throwing 30 Grimgast at it with -1 to wound rolls buff on them, and fishing for a double charge

This is my current list and so far I have won every game with it (casual Level) I think you could replicate it (in some sense) with what you own Current 2k List: Allegiance: Nighthaunt Leaders Dreadblade Harrow (100) - Artefact: Slitter Lady Olynder, Mortarch of Grief (240) - Lore of the Underworlds: Shademist Knight of Shrouds on Ethereal Steed (140) - General - Trait: Ruler of the Spirit Hosts - Artefact: Headsman's Judgement Guardian of Souls with Nightmare Lantern (140) - Lore of the Underworlds: Soul Cage Battleline 5 x Hexwraiths (160) 5 x Hexwraiths (160) 30 x Grimghast Reapers (360) 10 x Chainrasp Horde (80) Units 12 x Myrmourn Banshees (210) Behemoths Black Coach (280) Battalions Deathriders (130) Total: 2000 / 2000 Extra Command Points: 1 Allies: 0 / 400 Wounds: 107 Now looking at what you own this is what I would suggest. Split the hex Wraiths into 2 units of 5. Either leave them in the ground until you need them and bring them up onto objectives in the opponents back field to score those sweet sweet VP. Or keep them back in the mid-field and hide them behind terrain and again jump them out and yoink their stuff. I use them like (I am guess Grimgast stalkers are meant to be used) hunt small units, weak heros etc The 5+ mortal wound is only if you pass over a unit, you can 'fly' over the unit and back to the side you originated as long as you have finish your more 3" + away from the unit... so within 8" at the start of the movement phase. I would up one of your units to a 30 man for the ChainWrasps and a single 10 (if you can with the battalion) Use the 10 man to hold your objectives / backline. 30 man provides an anvil / punch back. GOS camps out with the 30 man. The Coven throne can also head on up with the 30 man to power it up I would give the KoS the artifact Headsman Judgement - Use him to go hunt small units / heros. Between 4 2+/2+ rend 1 dmg 2 attacks + -1 Bravery he should be able to scatter peoples flanking units & chaff walls. Lady O use her to snipe out any big scary heros / units, but always keep her behind your wall of 30. Remember to always have a Command point saved back to auto pass your bravery check on the 30 man, to prevent a good alpha wiping them out in 1 go, and not being able to ress a bunch of them My 2c, best of luck!
  22. Page 12 of the rule book in the AOS app says that modifiers are accumulative, it makes no mention of modifiers of the same name not stacking. However this may have been clarified in a FAQ / Errata, so I would recommend checking out the Age of Sigmar FAQ to see if anything has gone up around modifiers. However a 1 is always a fail, as previously mentioned so the benefit to most of our units of the ability to stack is minimal Also the confusion around the 12" or 9", the alternate GoS model with the lamp, that has a 9" bumble effect. That is likely where the confusion came from Good luck on Thursday Got a list of what you plan to run?
  23. Yeah I am a bit sad about Ghosts at the moment. They had such a cool opportunity to make something unique. But it feels a bit bland. And it is such a shame that our own units are just plain better in a Undead soup list. All good, still going to finish them and take some names. Not ideal if competitive is your jam though. Does anyone have a strong enough opinion on the black coach that is it should not be in tournament lists? I love the model and reallly want to inc it in my list, but he aint cheap.
  24. True, I hadn't read this thread when I picked it up. I don run the unit currently at all, it doesn't really have a place in my current list. I figured as it was a single model, getting a release like the Alternate GoS that it would be a hero of some form. Thought I would grab it so I had the option down the track. All good, I have the receipt, and my local gw is pretty chill. I'll turn it into something useful.
