  1. It'd be more powerful on your opponent's turn.
  2. Not sure they've put anything out about the Harbinger release previously, but this indicates soon. Maybe it's old news and I just missed it.
  3. There's nothing out there to suggest it. They've got their hands full with Heresy.
  4. The 'Age of' naming scheme always suggested to me the potential for a turning of the ages but it's a hard lever to pull in terms of branding and marketing.
  5. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/11/03/news-codexes-heroes-blood-glorygw-homepage-post-3/ New female hero! Steps forw... nope, literally a plate bikini and a four-horned "viking" helmet. Sorry I skipped the lede for AoS: Redesigned logo. A little underwhelming.
  6. Have they given an actual time for this info stream?
  7. Short answer is no. Nurgle release has seemed inevitable for a long time and new Beasts of Nurgle, based on the new art from 40k, seem to be coming along with the ever-rumoured GUO kit. I would guess that these will coincide with an aos book. There's no timeline. Only other thing that's accepted to be in the pipeline is 'Cthulhu Elves.' We expected them to be out by now but it's all been quiet on that front. Maybe they'll have something at BnG.
  8. Alternative story point focusing on a schism within the deity monarch's elite forces, turning them on each other and on the realms they were created to protect. The limited scope lets Forgeworld greatly expand on the individual character of the various chambers, letting players collect visually distinct forces of e.g. the loyal Anvils of Heldenhammer or the fallen zealots of the Knights Unforged.
  9. I'd so love to see the reaction to a Forgeworld Heresy equivalent for Stormcast.
  10. Rumour engine pic seems to have the same style of metalwork as the filigree in the last one.
  11. Ghb17 had named heroes in battalions with no new models. Don't expect one for this.
  12. I don't need you to agree with me but consider that reboxing whfb is still an ongoing project 2 years on.
  13. Same as the others: Ip copyright. They're differentiating them from their origins to make the ip more defensible. The implementation sucks because only a handful of the microfactions are reasonable armies on their own. Those new boxes with a few units pooled together to represent various cities presents a ray of hope for GW unwinding the mess they made of the old factions in the GA books. It'd let them give those factions an actual identity in AoS as opposed to this obviously balkanised mess we have now that for the most part pleases noone. No guarantees of course that that's where they're going with them.
  14. I think the Knight is a fantastic miniature from the shoulders up.
  15. Those new ardboys are the best black orcs they've ever made! Not the highest bar to clear but, y'know, not embarrassing to put on rounds. The old ones were obviously designed just to form a square with lots of spikes, horns and weapons protruding out of it. Still, their legs are too stubby and their can armour makes them look like they're wearing baby onesies. The "Malign Portents" teaser video is a complete waste of 15 seconds (incidentally also about as long as it took to make). Why did that have to be made? The paint app sounds alright, it's got a solid feature list. We'll have to see how it works when it's live.
  16. Nice writeup. I'll vomit out some notes in your comments if you don't mind. Skryre Allegiance (esp. focused on their heroes) without new spells seems like wasted effort sadly. They have a 4+ Look out Sir! trait that's cute (it even seems to work on Spark backfires) but at the end of the day an Arch-Warlock can only do so much. Slaves to Darkness... seems pretty meh. But we have god-specific allegiances (all four soon) so StD didn't even need this. Slaves aren't taking anyone's breath away with their warscrolls but I do love the sheer amount of options they have now for allegiances (and I don't think they're picking this one). Slaanesh is a little sketchy, the initially obvious combos being held together by command ability stacking. The Seekers factions seems slightly unplayable in scenarios based on camping objectives. 6th edition Frenzy (almost) with 360° LoS... yeesh. I love the Fallacious Gift artifact though. It's not actually that great in most situations (and as MtG players well know punisher mechanics are not something to rely on) but it's definitely amusing. Chaos allegiance sucks even more now... but Dark Avenger (situationally) and Cunning Deceiver are still there. Could've been worse! (read as: Could've been Order!) Freeps: Indomitable stacks with cover, unlike Staunch Defender. Pretty significant. Writ of Dominion is tasty as well. There's also a serious error in the Free Peoples Command Traits. #3 should obviously read "You receive an extra Triumph to forget about during the battle." Also I'm salty that Valten is gone now that the Allegiance is pretty good. Darkling Covens look supremely underwhelming. I really wanted them to be at least interesting. Total Conquest deployment zone: Wtf? It's seemingly inaccurately drawn but objective locations are based on centers of quarters and deployment zones based on horizontal thirds with each player taking half the board +/- a quarter of the table vertically in each third. You then can't deploy closer to the dividing line than 9". Does that sound confusing to you? It bloody well looks confusing on the diagram. I get that GW don't want to pigeon hole table sizes (hence no guide distances based on 6x4) but I don't think a bit more guidance is asking too much. Remember John Oliver's bit about squiggly lines on the map making for squiggly people? I think this is going to make for some pretty squiggly wargamers. Can we stop with the "Rules of one" gimmick? It's not that clever and it's not going to sell any more books.
