I'm pretty new with Ogors so all help is welcome: Allegiance: Ogor Mawtribes - Mortal Realm: Shyish - Mawtribe: Boulderhead LEADERS Frostlord on Stonehorn (400) - Artefact : Ethereal Amulet - Mount Trait : Metalcruncher Frostlord on Stonehorn (400) - Artefact : Brand of the Svard - Mount Trait : Black Clatterhorn Icebrow Hunter (120) - General - Command Trait : Lord of Beasts Slaughtermaster / Butcher (140) - Lore of Gutmagic : Ribcracker UNITS 6 x Frost Sabres (120) 4 x Frost Sabres (80) 12 x Ogor Gluttons (400) - Clubs or Blades with Iron Fists 4 x Ironguts (220) BATTALIONS Skal (100) TOTAL: 1980/2000 EXTRA COMMAND POINTS: 1 WOUNDS: 124 LEADERS: 4/6 BATTLELINES: 3 (3+) BEHEMOTHS: 2/4 ARTILLERY: 0/4 ARTEFACTS: 2/2 ALLIES: 0/400 My main concerns are if a Slaughtermaster/Butcher is any useful in this list, or it would be better to use a Tyrant to give BS immunity to the big gluttons unit, and if it will be better to distribute the Frost Sabers 8/2, 8 in ambush with the hunter and 2 for a little screen or objective holder, instead of 6/4. I think the same as you. Maybe LoN is going to reconvert in the "old Vampire Counts" tome with some nice aditions like elite vampire infantry and some model updates like bats and blood knights (this is not going to happen 😂), without Arkgash and improved specific weight for Nef, Mannfred and Vhordrai. They can also rescue big names like Abhorash or Vlad. Maybe the Morghast are going to leave too with Nagash and Arkhan.

The points low of Vhodrai is good news, but he doesn't get the VAMPIRE LORD keyword, so he doesn't benefit of the Legion of Blood damage traits. I can't understand why in 2020, GW still doesn't give him that keyword when it's obvious he is THE vampire lord along with Nef and Mannfred.

Reading the new warscrolls... can we put the 2 shields per 5 models of the ardboyz to the boss/banner/drummer? I can't find anything on the scroll that don't allow us to do it.

If you want to use different unit sizes in different games is great. I try to maximize always the "special options" for that reason. In a 10 or 20 model unit it's the same because they don't stack, but if you want to use two or four 5-man units in another game you have a drummer ready for each one.

It says 1 drummer in every 5 models. You can put 2 drummers in 10 ardboys. The only limitation 1 model per unit is the boss. And yes, you can put the 2 different banners every 10 ardboys.

The thing I like the less is the "moral obligation" of having 2 shields for every 5 ardboyz. That's 1 banner, 1 musician, 2 shields and 1 "normal" (or leader unit) per 5. The unit is going to look WEIRD in caps. I prefer much more to have choppas or a big choppa on my models, they should have included the rule without the need of putting shields on da boyz

Hi guys! I sold my old BoC army yesterday and decided to go all in with the IJ with the money! I ordered: -1 Maw-Krusha -2 SC boxes -2 Brutes boxes -1 Weirdnob Shaman -1 Ardboyz boxes + 5 from a vendor for a total 40 Ardboyz counting the 2 SC boxes. Did you think is a good starting point for 2k points? I will be pleased if anybody can advise me about the best loadout in the different units of the army. Thank you!

I'm on the same boat. The problem with the Polearm is that Volturnos doesn't have an option to equip it. And I don't like the head of Volturnos, so I think I will finish using Uasall head and any of the helmet options and play the model as Volturnos or an Akhelian King with Greatsword depending on the list.

Hi everyone. I bought the Akhelian King kit some days ago and I have some doubts about the best weapon choice he could get. Is there any kind of consensus about the Polearm vs Greatsword choice? Is it better to build him as Volturnos? Thank you very much.
