  1. Not really beyond parody. It is in beta - there are mistakes. Report the bug and move on
  2. Aren't those types of minis typically test models for sculptors?
  3. Such a shame GW ruined the army with the FAQ! 🤡 (I have no idea how that won 5 games with such a one dimensional list)
  4. We've had good results from mixed-arms lists, all dracoth lists, that weird Knight Judicator list, Annihalator-heavy lists. Doesn't seem boring...
  5. Translocation isn't a nerf, it is a correction of what everyone should have known would be the rules... Don't forget that Stormcast have been performing VERY well with a wide variety of lists. Most without a relictor and half of the release! We have a good book at the moment, not perfect, but good.
  6. I don't think he's a rule writer - rather oversees AOS in the studio. Certainly he is a skilled player with extra knowledge, but there are a lot of misconceptions about the Stormcast book from people who I've wagered have played very little with it. Better to approach things with an open mind.
  7. It is currently 4-0, and has beaten Mega Gargants. LOL. Lots of unearned 'wisdom' in this thread...
  8. They aren't painted as Anvils of the Heldenhammer btw - Although, yes it is a silly rule.
  9. What's good about them is that they fulfil a specific role. I don't mean that facetiously. Given how we have too many slightly different versions of the same unit, it is nice to have defined roles.
  10. Chaos Knights are HORRIBLE to paint - they don't have a clear 'path' through the model when painting. But this was also true for the 7th ed ones too - dreadful models and dreadful to paint. The 6th ed ones were clean and beautiful. Vindictors are some of the best models around becuase of the clean design.
  11. 1. Picking them later can be counter-intuitive, given that they perform better against 10 man units - if your main hammers go first, will there still be ten men? 2. You say they are self-sufficient, but then also talk about rallying them, which requires a CP. Weird unit. Can't see it myself, but will give them a go.
  12. yes lol they do. releasing aeronautica is not a more sensible move than releasing models for mainline factions in aos that already have books released...
  13. We know for a fact that GK and TS were late... We also don't know if the other items were moved around. The fact is GW WANTS to sell us their products; missing launch is a big miss for the Stormcast kits (especially the non-dragons, which would have sold more on hype, rather than rules). The lack of communication is bizarre, but these conspiracies are dumb.
  14. Well quite, GW wants to be selling you models rather than them sitting in a warehouse/container...
  15. Chop the points of the Lord-Exorcist to 125 (same as the incantor!) and it becomes a solid choice. 175 is... mental.
  16. The Shockbolt bow doesn't cause mortals on a 6 to hit. Just for the ease of rolling, it is better to leave it out
  17. Honestly we don't need more characters - more should have been squatted.
  18. I'm far less convinced by Drakes compared to other people. They certainly pack a punch, but I have some skepticism of how they'll perform on the table. I dont think they'll be the powerhouses everyone is framing them as - though from an internal balance POV they seem slightly undercosted. They'll be better in moderation imo. The single best rule in the book is the counting for three models on objectives - this is a game winning ability, if you are set up to use it. Also - I'll keep banging the vanguard hunter drum. They are brilliant.
  19. Something doesn't has to directly interact with the allegiance ability to synergise with it. So many units benefit from Scions - it protects yor units, it keeps your opponent guessing, changes their behaviour, it allows you to place your shooting units where they need to, allows you to place characters in buff range (outside of 9).
  20. I'm with you. Well, I'd argue the Lord Exorcist is worse simply by virtue of its insane cost, but they seem fine. Sequitors, as a redeemer unit, are very very good.
  21. Anyone got a link to pics of the new book so I can play a test game? It would be awful if you private messaged me a link... (I've seen the preview vids)
  22. Because they aren't redeemers in the fluff! From a design POV, I would have made Vindictors not redeemer; that would have brought the different options for battleline closer together.
  23. I really think vanguard stormcast will be a hidden gem. The amount of flexibility on durable units is phenomenal.
