  1. Good idea. I'm currently working on a StD warband based on the start collecting box, doing some conversions with the warriors to have different weapon options. And just primed a sybarites of slaanesh warband. Besides that, I got a lot of terrain in the pipeline not sure how to paint it.
  2. Are there any rumours about Warcry Second edition? I've heard it here and there, that a new edition could come out this year, saying it's 3 years since Warcry 1.0 and GW has a 3 year cycle for games.
  3. I didn't expect to get any news for Warcry, so I'm not disappointed. Sure some new AoS Warcry warbands would be nice, but I have plenty of unbuilt warbands to finish and campaigns to play. But the good thing is, as already mentioned, the release of soulblight and AoS 3 will deliver us more content for sure. And there will be more previews in may, so maybe there will be some news.
  4. As others have already mentioned, the freedom to create your own ideas, places, races and go crazy within this setting and be able to bring them alive anywhere in the mortal realms, this is what I really like about AoS. Having this living community that shares it's ideas and having all the great content makes this setting even more fascinating. This freedom might be too much for some hobbyist's, but I prefer it in comparison to other game systems. I even like the general lore and the new things gw comes up with, but some more than others.
  5. Welcome to warcry. I think the rule says "pick a visible enemy fighter within 1" of this fighter". Which means pick an enemy fighter within 1" of the bloodcrusher. You can choose between enemy models if there are more than one within 1" range.
  6. I really like your terrain. The addition of bases an other terrain pieces or bitz make it much more atmospheric. On the other hand you loose some modularity esp with the warcry terrain. Still very nice. I built my Lotr ruins similar to yours, but with my warcry terrain I tried to build it as modular as possible.
  7. The walls add so much more to the mostly 2d board. Are the walls modular to the other Catacombs boards? Did you try that? Since I don't have access to a 3d printer (thanks for sharing the links in your other thread), I will probably build some walls from scratch.
  8. Those catacombs walls look great, where did you find them? PM with link would be nice. I like the paintjob, the glow effect fits very well to the map. Your warcry collection is awesome, looking forward to your next additions.
  9. You can play it the way you want with your gaming group, basic rules and only warcry warbands. I think it should work very well. Aos warbands are just options. I like the additional stuff they release. The sylvaneth warbands ist great, but could be hard to get only a couple dryads. I hope IDK get a good box too. Is it possible the new slaanesh mortals are in the GA book before they got released?
  10. The convergences and regular games in Catacombs use only the terrain you get with the box, overground and underground. You don't need any other terrain or boxes.
  11. I'm looking forward to the GA books, maybe they are a little bit like the Index Books early 8th in 40k. I wasn't very interested in warcry when the roumor was its only chaos warbands. I like the idea and the setting and most of all the rules. Whith the idea of only chaos and to become a varanguard, ist sounds more like a small board game to me, like the Khorne Arena Game a few years ago. There would not be much to add to a game like this. I'm glad they added AoS factions, balanced or not. Those who want to play the game with only the chaos warbands can totally do so the basic game has a lot of options on its own, and those who don't like them have ton of other options to play the game. For me warcry is like a sandbox skirmish game. I can play the basic game or can create my own scenarios, campagnes, quests, stories and terrian. The lore is greate but there ist not very much of it, GW should add more to the books or the campagnes. I hope they continue with the warband cards after GA books, really like them and think they are very useful ingame.
  12. The box ist out since saturday, any first thoughts about the quality of the set? I recieved mine on saturday and built the catacombs Terrain the same day. Anyone else thinks the plastic of the new terrain is softer than normal? I had to be careful not to cut too deep into the material. Quality ist superp as usual. A little letdown was when I opened the box for the first time, there was no cool artprint ontop of the content, but a simple and thin yellow sheet of paper. Is this with all the boxes or am I the unlucky one where the artprints were out? Even in indomitus there were two artprints to protect the content. And even the box itself is not as durable as the starter or indomitus box. Don't want to be petty here, but for the higher prize we pay, the overall quality should be better. Can't say anything about the rules so far, but the lore and background could be more. A little disapointet about the box, but still looking forward on playing the game with the extended content, since I realy like the game a lot.
  13. I really like the map. Is it the first one that shows the underground of a realm? I think it shows us how huge those realms are and how many lost and unimaginable places are scattered across the realms. Really want to read more about those palces and see more maps like this. Do you think the lower edge is the other side of the realm?
