I noticed that normal paint isn't "holding" well to sprayed / airbrushed gold or metallics in general. It is kinda flowing like a wash but not so extreme. Could I stop this from happening when I matt varnish the parts I want to paint over with another color? Or is it me having wrong paint consistency once again :D?

I only know the artifact from community page, is it worded different in the tome? it says same manner as wizard , what is missing that it makes endless spells illegal?

Well I did it already and GW won this round. Although I still buy other models because why not. But there is nothing out there what provides nearly the same overall expierience like GW does. For some it might be necesarry for others not. And if I look at this here : https://www.manticgames.com/news/visit-mantic-games-hq/ I mean just look at the table... seriously? In an HQ ? Every GW store has nicer tables. And this you buy too when you buy GW. Con sounds a little hard... They usually provide a full package to the customer, and customers seem to like it? If the models were utter ****** no one would buy them and more people would buy other models. You can always use other models except on their events.

I think the only way this could change is due to serious competition. See Amd / Intel and what happened to the CPU market over the last 3 years. Sure there are a lot of "mini" companies out there, but to be honest none of them can even remotely match what GW build up over the decades. On the other hand the wargaming hobby seems to be a great niche market, so maybe a cash loaded investor might try something

Depends, it’s not an instant kill, and when you get double turned it’s going to look grim for the evos. Vanguard super battalion with double tapping longstrikes might do the job but at a high cost.

makes sense, but as sce and cos main it is a super hard sell now. I really wanted to try to build a sce list with 1 sob as key element but that plan is now dead. makes me really sad actually.

you ignore the fact that he is in combat when he is wihtin 3" of an enemy model and the ability doesnt say a thing about ignoring combat. based on your logic he would never be in combat because he ignores enemy models... anyhow that needs a faq i guess i would throw a coin

I think thats the key here. You start within 3" -> you need to retreat because you are in comabt already. That thing is only ignoring models in the context of a normal move ( and can't stop withing 3") 🤷‍♂️

Thats pretty much true for every shooty list when you are on the receiving end .
