    @popisdead If she doesn't like aos I'm keeping the army so no need to worry about selling them. I do plan to keep at 1000 points for now but I just wanted to think ahead so I won't buy her things that never get used. Its good to know a horde of dryads is viable and not a waste of points/money. The battle tome is still on its way so we haven't looked at all the rules yet but I'll take a look at winterleaf once it arrives. I'm sure dryads are staying they feel too iconic to get rid of. I'm not sure what you mean by trying to scrounge more. They are readily available in boxes of 16. Perhaps is misunderstand the sentence. I do understand the horror of getting models in those tiny blister packs. I have 20 old metal furies myself.

    Hello everyone, I'm getting my sister in Aos and she wants to play sylvaneth so I'm looking for a bit of advice. I have ordered a 1 k army consisting of: 1 branchwraith 2branchwitch Durthu 1 treelord ancient 48 dryads So with this she could go for 2x 10 dryads 28 for summoning or 1x 30 dryads 18 for summoning and leave out 1 branch witch. What do you think about this list for 1 k? Further I have been thinking about a 2k list. Wanting to add drycha and 6 kurnoth hunters. But what else? I'm not sure about allariele as I never played with models costing so many points myself. My sister dislikes both the revenant types because of the ghostly look so we prefer not to use them. Should we go with 3x 10 dryads as battle line and add more 3 more kurnoth hunters. This feels odd as the dryads no longer have the save bonus. Perhaps 3x 20 dryads? And 20 for summoning. Or is having 80 dryads to much. I kinda like the idea of a big swarm. What are your thoughts? PS we are not competitive, so fluffy and fun lists are more important than winning

    So i know the rules say you can only reroll once but i have a list of abilities that would seem useless unless you could reroll multiples times. So i want to be sure abilities are affected by this rule or not. i got 20 chaos warriors so their number give them a save reroll for 1's they are marked tzeentch and are within range of a hero so they get a save reroll for 1's a sorcerer uses his ability oracular vision giving them a save reroll for 1's and uses the deamonic power spell for another save reroll for 1's a chaos shrine gives the the favor of tzeentch meaning a save reroll for 1's, but the warriors are marked tzeentch so get a full reroll instead. So what happens now? i only get the full reroll from the shrine and everything else is useless? Could these things in an army be combined succesfully or is tzeentch useless?

    Hello everyone, a friend of mine wants to start his journey in AoS with the free cities and stormcasts but we are unsure how these can be mixed since he doesnt have a battletome yet. Can all stormcast troops and heroes be used in the free cities? Is there a limit on how many stormcast you can put in your army? Are stormcast warscrolls included in the free cities tome? or does he have to buy both battletomes?

    Hello, i hope it is ok if i post this here since i didn't know which subforum to use I'm building a slaves to darkness army of the 5th chaos god Malal and just found some awesome Daemon miniatures of Malice on KnightmareMiniatures. I thought this was interesting to share. Now i am wondering on how to use them in an actual aos game. Perhaps the big guy can be a Daemon prince and the spider-like thing next to it a gigantic chaos spawn. Although i'm not sure if they are big enough. The spiderthing with the skullface could be a razorgor? i'm not a fan of its model so this could replace it. I can't think of anything else. I might eventually start Malal-themed beastmen so this could work. And the bladed creatures could probably only be bloodletters or Deamonettes. Perhaps skin wolves if they are not to small ? Again size is unknown for all except the possible spawn which is 55mm without legs. So what do you guys think about these models and there uses?

    Thanks for all the advice, i am not worried about staying within slaves to darkness for every game, sometimes i might just go far grand alliance chaos and thus mix everything in. @Tasman: I looked at the warscroll for chaos spawn on the GW site, besides tzeentch they also have slaves to darkness as a keyword. @amysrevenge and Kramer: Thanks for sharing your core, that makes me realise i need more basic troops. I too like the visual theme of marauders and warriors side by side. I'm going to get another start collecting for the warriors and knights. I think an extra sorceror an chariot might come in handy too for that cheap price. i was doubting about getting 40 marauders but im going for it.

    I'm just looking to have fun, hellcannon and forsaken can be used as allies although not together. i am mainly wondering if i need more marauders for their barbarian horde bonus and more warriors to have more battle line troops. Perhaps some people can tell how many they use and for what purpose in their +-2000 point games. i read on a few places it was a must to have like 40 marauders and 2 block of at least 20 warriors to hold the lines. i wonder how you guys feel about that.

    Hello, i have known warhammer for a long time but just decided to start my first aos army, i have dark vengeance 40k but no more so i would like some advice. I chose chaos starting with undivided ("slaves" to darkness). I would like to branch out to each god eventually. I like having lots of variety and bringing something different each game. For now i have the start collecting, a hellcannon and 10 forsaken. In the attachment you can see my wishlist for chaos undivided (ignore the weapons). I'm not sure if this is ok though. I'm mostly worried about not having enough marauders or chaos warriors as meat of the army. Perhaps i should get more of those? another box marauders and another start collecting?
