  1. This is just a Realisation so don‘t take it as hate okay:

At first glance it seems like LRL are the biggest winners. They have good shooting which got better. They are rewarded for staying in formation while having a good range (2“-3“ melee range). And Teclis completely bypasses the miscasts, which all other gods will suffer from. All the Hurakan movement shenanigans are amplified by the redeploy special rule.

I‘ll have a look at the rules to form my first solid opinion though.

Generally? Nothing. Combat still works pretty much the same as it did before. There are some extra clarifications in the Core Concepts section like you can only get one ability that triggers on a roll. There's a special section that breaks down Strike First and Strike Last and how they interact with eachother. I think the damage section is a bit nicer too but I don't think there were any changes in how it works. Battleshock is pretty much the same. The only change I noticed is they made a difference between slain models and models that flee. Artefacts are bundled into the Enhancements system now, but they haven't really changed. You still only get one that can go to any hero and if your sub allegiance specifies one then you have to take that first.

What? So they incorporated 40K rules without the additional 40K rules that made them work in the first place? O.o

Let me guess they truly added miscast which Nagash will suffer from while Teclis doesn‘t care?

Arcane Bolt change : cast it then unleash it at the top of any phase . Within 12” it’s one mortal wound - within 3 “ it’s D3. Nagash can combo this like the new article states that’s probably why his points went up

I like it :D the Nagash bomb

I’m not sure he’s bigger, I think it’s a combination of him standing up strait and on some rubble.

    Indeed.

the new SCE is standing very straight and upright atop of rubble. The Liberator has a wide stance

Solid rules - good damage and juicy mortal wounds.

However: How does his armour yield a 3+ save? He and his mount are almost naked, that's light armour at best o.O (compare that armour to the stormcast or the vampire lord)

  7. What everybody seems to miss is that this smells like a remake of the human range.

Phil Kelly mentioned that this edition is all about the simple mortals who are trying to survive.

There‘s been a rather recent Rumour about new humans as well

Don't get me wrong, I'd prefer complete buildings as well, but GW don't seem to want terrain that is fully enclosed whilst taking up large space.

I'd love large buildings with a deck, platforms etc. so you can actually play atop of it without it being a boring garrison!
There're endless opportunities for cool fights if you have big, walkable buildings.

Quite possibly, but at the same time, the Killaboss' ability specifically says only 1 model flees to battleshock, and Legion of Blood's adds D3 to the amount of models that flee, not in addition but it modifies the actual initial amount "add D3 to the amount of models that flee".

Both appear to trigger at the same time (failed battleshock).

There has to be an order of application.

    I'd argue that both count:
    1. Roll for battleshock, and determine the number of models that flee.
    2. Reduce that number to maximum one
    3. Add D3

my reasoning is that those models don't flee due to battleshock but due to an ability if that makes sense.

I think, and maybe someone can back me up or set me straight, that the person who's turn it is has his rules apply first? I'm sure I read this somewhere. And the rules definitely say that the "most recent" ability wins.

So in Soulblight's turn, the Killaboss' rule would apply second and therefore only 1 would run.

In Orruk's turn, the Killaboss' rule would apply first, so 1 + D3 would run.

Again worth waiting to see full rules, but this is my understanding.

iirc it's not about whose turn it is.
In this case 1 + D3 would always be the case since the Legin of Blood rule is in addition and therefor to be seen as a seperate addition to the normal battleshock which is limited to 1
