  1. I wish we could fix the Glaivewraith warscroll and be good, but the reality is we need a book re-write. Same with SC, Nurgle, BoC. They need to re-do the books to make them legitimately competitive. Nighthaunt was sold as THE bravery debuff army due to spookiness yet we can barely even get a -2 if we work at it. Our version of fight twice is totally random, and they highly overrated and overcosted Ethereal and fly army wide. If they made a terrain piece that gave board wide -1 to bravery that goes up each battle round it would help. Maybe also give +1 to charge and it counts towards wave of terror. If Cities of Sigmar can have a spell that straight up changes someones save to '-' why can't the spooky boys have one that changes the bravery to '-'?
  2. It was just a poorly designed box. You get 5 glaivewraiths which come in units of 4, 4 ggr which are units of 10. You get 8 stormcast sequitors which comes in units of 5, 3 evocators which are units of 5, and 5 castigators which come in units of 3.
  3. Wouldn't the charge count and not the metalcruncher then? Metalcruncher is the mount trait, whereas the Frostlord is charging as well. Like would it count for Blast of Frost Wreathed Ice and Pulverizing Hailstorm?
  4. I love my Mourngul for 280. Sometimes I even run 2. My mobile army of a hero with pendant of the fell wind and multiple blobs move as a unit, but people fear the Mourngul deep strike. But if you run KoSoES then Myrmourn Banshees. The +1 attacks is insane value. Harridans just don't do enough against too many armies. Against anyone but Destruction they might as well not have the -1 to hit. They're gonna need a new book with LOTS of bravery debuffs before they become worth it in NH imo.
  5. The only reason I would go thundertusk is the leader to stack -1 to hit. Since it has it naturally, you can giv eit gryph feather charm for another -1, and firebelly Billowing Ash spell gives an additional -1. Add that to Alvagr Ancient and enemies within 3" fight last if thundertusk hasnt charged it can be quite tanky. But at that point you are doing a lot to make it a less damaging stonehorn. And if you replace both Stonehorn Beastriders in the above list with 2x4 Mournfang you can fit a unit of 2 Frost Sabres. They wont fight well, but they can run to far objectives and force your opponent to deal with them.
  6. You really cant go wrong with 3 bigguns. Allegiance: Ogor Mawtribes Mortal Realm: Shyish Leaders Frostlord on Stonehorn (400) - General - Trait: Frostfell Aura - Artefact: Ethereal Amulet - Mount Trait: Metalcruncher Battleline Stonehorn Beastriders (300) Stonehorn Beastriders (300) Total: 1000 / 1000 Extra Command Points: 0 Allies: 0 / 200 Wounds: 37 You do mortals wounds on the charge on 4+ with all 3 units. Your leader is a 3+ unrendable, 5+ after save, counts as 10 models, beat stick that does d6 mw's at start of each combat and your opponent cannot retreat from him. I like having the double beastriders as missiles to spread out but you could replace one or both with 2 units of mournfang pack to spread to more objectives.
  7. I know this might sound crazy but I wanna make sure. The reference is the Goblet of Draining in the Realm of Shyish artifacts. "If 1 or more wounds are inflicted on an enemy HERO by the bearer, roll a dice. On a 5+ that HERO suffers D3 mortal wounds." Would this trigger say on a Stonehorn that charges and deals mortal wounds for Trampling Charge? And then again with Metalcruncher? I feel like I've read the answer before but I couldn't find it. Just making sure that "wounds" as written also encompasses mortal wounds.
  8. These "2.0" tomes NEED to be external balancing to compete with the rest of 2.0: Nighthaunt, Stormcast Eternals, Sylvaneth, Beasts of Chaos. Idoneth Deepkin could use a fair bit of internal balancing as they basically are down to one list that is competitive and the rest of the book is a joke. Similarly Gloomspite could use a rebalancing. Nurgle really needs a 2.0 book, that "ready for 2.0" was clearly wrong. Legions of Nagash needs a massive cleanup and balancing if they don't intend on removing it due to soup-ness. After all that, if Tzeentch gets properly looked at, the remainder of the 2.0 tomes can hold their own.
  9. Rerolling Ones is really good, but damn why didn't' he try to summon more demons after turn 1? Yeah you might take some mortal wounds but you get 10 or more wounds back in models.
  10. Due to the unforeseen (but totally foreseen) circumstances of a new Tzeentch battletome, the GHB 20/big summer FAQ can't get here soon enough. Also please release new Nighthaunt and Stormcast battletomes. The first ones are dead.
  11. Not a fan of that or how they redesigned the warscroll builder. Everything is no longer centered.
  12. Yes, tactical players will overcome a new army's gimmick, and complainers will continue to complain. I mean basic screening has been part of the game since day one. As has units that prevent retreating. The only problem here is people not willing to change their tactics. If you throw your 400 points of Pinks at my 1-200 chaff screen fine, lock that screen in combat all game. I will go over or around, or even teleport myself with the rest. Its not semantics, its basic tactics.
  13. If 20 pinks can lock up your whole army with one charge you deployed poorly.
  14. Saying they weren't nerfed is just flat wrong. Changehost only teleports one unit now. Destiny dice no longer ignore rend or battleshock losses. EDIT: They also clarified you cannot summon Kairos Fateweaver or the Exalted Greater Deamon of Tzeentch. AND big time Mastery of Magic does not change the lower die to higher die if you use destiny dice.
  15. That Belakor legion is going to be insane if you can bring back stuff with the DAEMONETTE or BLOODLETTER keyword. D3 Seeker Chariots or D3 Bloodcrushers coming back for a command point seems super strong.
  16. Well you can in the same turn, just not turn 1 JK. You'd have to take Arcanum on Tauralon to do that turn 1 with 1 model. Kinda sad thats the only two spell wizard.
  17. For those of you having Tzeentch Pink Horror problems, have you tried Reikenor? You can either let him teleport to you, or teleport to him with Harrow and shoot the corpse candle mortal wound at the icon bearer. It's not the greatest at 170 points, but he lets you kill the icon specifically and then his Wraithstorm spell seems pretty good against horror units.
  18. There may be lore why they can't enter the mortal realms, but that's just begging for the chaos gods to find a way to circumvent that but at a cost. Like they actually become mortal in a way. Anything to see the perfection that is Slaanesh on the table.
  19. I'm very interested in this "To Free a God" section of the new Wrath of the Everchosen book. I long to see actual chaos god models on the table. I'd accept it even if its for narrative only. I know it won't be soon, but I would love to see Slaanesh be freed in the lore and then get a Slaanesh model. Why should only Order and Death get their gods? (Alarielle, Nagash, now Teclis and probably Tyrion)
  20. Well I like to mitigate one of those with double Stardrake bonuses
  21. I agree here, Balewind Vortex is probably the best endless spell for Stormcast. Getting a second cast and adding some range is clutch. Plus, if you take Relictor you can teleport the wizard on Balewind and most of our heroes go to a 2+ save on it.
  22. It sounds fun to try. But competitively, I don't think the Nova Surge does enough. If it was something like "Deal d3 to each enemy within range then each Drakesworn Templar on the battlefield heals equal to the mortal wounds dealt" it would be good. Once per battle makes it really poor in its current state.
  23. I feel like Changehost making the army one drop and giving two teleports with no dice roll is the only problem.
