It's not necessary to update Teclis' warcroll though. His warscroll doesn't give him access to the Lore of Hysh, or the Lore of the High Peaks. His access to all of those spells is printed above the spell lores themselves. "Teclis knows all of the spells in all of the following tables" Page 68 So they they can just do the same for a new Lore of the wind which I imaginen will get printed in the Broken realms book.

Looking at the rumor engine, you can see the spiral of wind, but also cloth ribbons mixed in the swirl. I think this is the Fox spirit for the Wind Lumineth, who is described below as rising on "a spiraling weave of ribbons"

So from the video, we can expect an article on warhammer community this week talking about the next installment of Broken Realms. Exciting!

I mean purely in terms of warcrolls, Lumineth is (currently) the the smallest faction next to Sons of Behemat.

The warscroll spell's value is predicated on the idea that this unit would be the chose target of ranged attacks. And I'd argue that is only useful if you are playing a mission where heroes score objectives and are using Myari and the purifiers to hold an objective unsupported by the rest of your army. Sadly this warscroll has a bunch of big misses. -Its Ymetrica so can't benefit from any great nations (Ymetrica has no effect on non alarith units so this is a huge waste) -Myari has a nice inbuilt casting bonus, but has no access to any lumineth spell lores. He has the Scinari keyword (which unlocks nothing), but not Vanari, Cathallar, or Stonemage which he would need to access the battletome spell lores. his spell is mostly useless as this unit would almost never be a primary target of ranged attacks, so unless he is there to cast endless spells, the casting bonus is a waste. Pretty sad.

I mean, Bladelord WAS the designation of the unit champion in the High elf Loremasters of Hoeth.

Right, but the point I'm making is that from how rapidly the lord of pain showed up, (and how far their design team works in advance) GW was almost certainly working on Slaanesh Mortals before The Hedonites battletome got released.

To this I would just like to point out the rumor engines for the Slaanesh Lord of Pain (fully sculped and painted) started showing up 5 months after The Hedonites battletome got released.

Normally I'd say any new Lumineth miniatures is this soon is unlikely. However, the best arguments I can make for Lumineth recieving new models with broken realms comes from Three directions. First: Gloomspite gitz got their massive release in February 2019, and then 2 months latter had the mounted loonboss come out with the looncurse box. (this isn't a perfect fit, as the mounted loonboss was just an updated sculpt, not a new warscroll, but it was a new model release shortly after a massive range revamp so I've included it) Second: The release cycle was really messed up this year. It's reasonable to guess that Lumineth were supposed to be released back in April. And so a spring broken realms book with a new miniature or two would put that at a year after intended release. Still soon, in GW's normal release cycle. But not super crazy. Third: Slaanesh. Slaanesh got a new battletome with a similar sized release to Lumineth in April 2019, and Are going to get a second wave release 20 months later. Considering how early GW finish Miniatures before they are released, this shows some evidence that they are willing to split releases or delay them to tie in with events. (mortal slaanesh coinciding with the Newborn event in Broken Realms) If that's the case, then Tying in a new Lumineth release with Broken realms seems far from impossible. +++ All told, in terms of my level of expected surprise. I'd arbitrarily give a new lumineth Hero (single model release) to tie in with Broken realms a 40% chance of occurring. I'd give a larger release (Like a new elemental temple) a 20% chance of happening.

@Thiagoma Your anti Lumineth bile is getting boring. Go troll some other group for a while, I hear Sigvald has a thing for trolls so maybe the Slaaneshii aesthetic is more up your alley anyways.

So, considering at least 1multibuild kit, 1 named hero, and the new lord of pain. Plus the very likely (seen in video) Slaangors and archers, plus another Hero (looks like a sorcerer). Seems like a probable 6 new kits. Does that make Slaanesh the first non Stormcast AOS army to get a wave 2 release that was more than just a hero?

I tend to think the silliness of these heads is 95% just due to the standard Eavy Metal high contrast paintjob. Something more pallid, shaded in light purples would look suitably alien and creepy and I kind of love what these faces offer to other painters.

So when you said You meant except the new army and new minatures. Got it.

This is wrong. Sisters of Battle were released as part of psychic awakening tied in with faith and fury. Additionally, both Aeldari and Drukari, got new units in addition to new heroes with the Phoenix rising box set.

But we now have a clear example of Aelf souls being reclaimed, and then winding up back inside slaanesh, all after he was bound. I can't remember reading anything about slaanesh's capture meaning he could no longer consume souls. Remember that for chaos worshipers who devote themselves to one of the gods, their soul is not drawn to shyish but is instead drawn to the realm of chaos and to their specific god. I would imagine that it is the same for Slaanesh, or else, what would happen to the souls of his followers after death? My main question is if souls reclaimed from slaanesh (which all still have a lingering slaaneshi corruption, even the Lumineth) share that trait that their souls are naturally drawn back to the realm of chaos/slaanesh as if they had been slaaneshi worshipers, not by choice, but simply due to the nature of their souls corruption. For example, we know that the Idoneth fear what will happen to them after death, so they store the souls of their dead in an enclaves Chorrelium. There could also be a difference between first generation reclaimed souls (ala cythai, scathborn, first generation Lumineth) and their later offspring, the latter while still carrying the taint of Slaanesh, are not naturally drawn back after death.

So one of things I had wondered about concerning reclaimed Aelf souls is where do they go when they die? Since AoS Aelves share more parallels with 40k Aeldari than older warhammer elves did, I had wondered if their souls are devoured/drawn back to Slaanesh, instead of (presumably) ending up in shyish. The end of section 2 in Morathi might have an answer in this. Morathi, saves a number of Cythai souls from within Slaanesh and gifts them to Volturnos as a way to cement an alliance, these were his kin. The cythai of course being the first reclaimed aelf souls, meaning that a large number of them had been reclaimed by Teclis, shaped into cythai, died, and then wound up back inside slaanesh. I wonder if this is just an Idoneth trait of their soul damage, or if most reclaimed Aelf souls end up back in slaanesh baring outside interference.

I think so. The story ends, with Hedonites gathering to hear the first words of the Newborn. If feel like if GW intended to give Hedonites an broken realms update without a new model release, this would have been the book to do it. The absence of their rules in Morathi gives me a great deal of hope that, with the Newborn to lead them, their update will be more meaningful, and will coincide with a mortals release.

I'm not anti Sigmar at all. His character is incredible, and his motivations are laudable. What I can't stand is people trying to paint him as superior to other gods, when there is ample evidence that he is just as flawed as all the rest. His flaws are what make him interesting.

The Enlightment Engines were designed to speed peoples thought, to help people learn and spread civilization. What Sigmar had Grungi do to them is to make people forget. Seems like a corruption of their purpose to me. Justification doesn't matter, malice doesnt matter either. Objectively Sigmar warped them to be something opposite to what they had been intended to be. Have you read the malign portents short stories or soul wars? It sure seem that the reforging of a soul into a Stormcast is like torture. full of pain and screaming until the soul submits and is overwhelmed by the will of soul smiths. Just because Stormcast souls have been broken enough not to resent the process, doesn't make it any less monstrous. These were people with families, friends, cultures and freedoms that were ripped away. When he closed the gates to azyr, he sure killed a lot of innocent refugees. His Stormcast also tend to kill a lot of innocents which have an unfortunate habit of getting in their way. incompetence is no excuse. From the beginning both gods chaffed against Sigmar's bonds, and Nagash started planning his obvious betrayal. Thinking he could keep Nagash and Gorkamorka on a leash, diverting them against their known natures is the height of godly arrogance. Sigmar is as responsible for the atrocities they have committed as Morathi will be for Slaanesh. At least she wasn't deluding herself into believing that Slaanesh could be contained. After the battle for burning skies, Sigmar basically gave up on the fight against chaos and started tearing apart the realm of Death looking for Nagash. After failing to achieve anything meaningful there, he seals the gates to Azyr and basically leaves the realms to their fate. He gave up out of rage after Nagash's inevitable betrayal, that is kinda of the definition of Ragequiting. Worth point out how many other gods who didn't have the option of running and hiding still managed to fend off chaos enough to keep parts of their civilizations intact. +++++++ Of course there is justification for all of this, but justification doesn't make something objectively "right". Morathi has justification for the the awful things she is doing too I'm sure. All the gods do what they feel is right, and along the way they brutalize innocents and their own followers. There are no good guys in Warhammer , and people decrying Morathi, while turning a blind eye to the same monstrous actions committed by other gods is amusing. Hypocracy is hypocracy. Morathi truly is a god now, and she got there by doing what every other Order god is willing to do to get ahead, especially Sigmar.

I see no real difference between Morathi's actions and Sigmar's. Sigmar is just as willing to lie, cheat and steal to accomplish what he believes to be right. He corrupts Teclis' gift to the civilizations of the Realms, the Illlumination engines. He rage quit the realms after the battle of burning skies, abandoning the rest of Order. Goes further to kidnap souls and torture them into fighting for him. And then is totally cool with murdering innocents to secure his power. To be clear, all the order gods suck, but nothing that Morathi has done seems vastly different or worse than anything that Sigmar did. She freed Slaanesh? Cool, he freed Gorkamorka and Nagash, how has that worked out for the realms? He sent Grimnir to his death. lol.

I tend to agree, with the thought that Since Malerion and Morathi were still extracting souls in the Malign portents short story. that it's likely the other Aelven Gods are too, although perhaps to a lesser extent. It's also entirely possible that the story in question takes place much earlier in the timeline of the realms to give context to the (at the time) Brand new concept of the Daughters of khaine and Idoneth Deepkin. I don't recall if in the conversation between Morathi and Malerion there was any comment which could place the story as chronologically set during the build up to soul wars era. It worth remember that as per the IDK battletome, Slaanesh didn't just eat all the elves alive during the End times, he also raided the old Elven underworlds to eat the souls of every elf which had ever lived. So it definitely seems like their might enough souls to save that task is near enough to endless and I cannot imagine Tyron or Teclis being willing to say "that's enough" while their are still Aelf souls to save.

I have been working on a narrative campaign my group will be running next year and this has lead to me wonder on some points about the Lumineth that leave me intrigued. I thought I'd share them here, and gather some input. 1.)As far as we know so far, while Lumineth can sexually reproduce, or clone themselves to create new Lumineth, Is there any reason to assume that Teclis is no longer harvesting souls from the captive Slaanesh? 2.)If he is still saving souls and reincarnating them as Lumineth, does he implant them into newborn aged vessels (likely made by Illiatha, as he sought them to create Eltharions body due to their expertise in cloning), or are they incarnated as adults as one would also assume the original Lumineth were. 3.)Would there be a cultural divide in the Lumineth between natural born and incarnated, seeing as one was reshaped by a god. (There is also a third option that Aelf souls cannot be created any longer, and all "naturally born" or cloned aelves are filled in some manner, by some means with a rescued soul.) 4.)Would the reincarnated souls still be shaped directly by Teclis' hand, (as we might assume the first Lumineth were) or has he set up trusted acolytes to run an assembly line to shape them, and spit them out once they have been saved? 5.) Is it possible that reclaimed souls are not immediately put to use (either incarnated, or bound to a newborn)? And the corollary is new Aelves might be created one at a time, or in batches, but is it possible there are caches of Aelf Souls reclaimed from Slaanesh, stored/hidden somewhere, waiting to be used, when whomever does the reshaping (Teclis or Acolyte) gets around to them. There are no solid answers to any of these points (Yet), but I'd love to have a discussion concerning the implications of the above questions and what it could mean for the Lumineth.

They also mentioned that Leviadons have a 2+ save now if unharmed.
