  1. Right, which is why I couched it as it can work with battle tactics. We’ll have to see about this version.
  2. Tyler from Warhammer Weekly released old favorite battleplans updated for 3rd edition called Warcoda. Border War was one of these and was a lot of fun to play. So it can work well with battle tactics.
  3. She’s stepping down in Jan 2025. Selling her shares in stages would be part of this process. I’m not sure there’s really anything more to read into this.
  4. They’re on the app update along with Pyregheists and the new Underworlds stuff.

  6. Points and updates are on the app already.
  7. I mean, that’s on you. It was not worded as some big reveal. We got rules for Darkoath, an article looking at the models, and the EC stuff. All were new looks. Sure, they used the word shindig, but that’s just a fun word.
  8. Your point about SCE is correct - but they did have some broken units. Fulminators and Longstrikes were the broken combo for a while. Actually, they were like $25 IIRC. Fairly reasonable. Enough that I bought some for armies I didn’t play.
  9. The only thing that should make you feel like that is Sacrosanct going away. BoC received one new army model in all of AoS and was telegraphed by TOW news. Warcry stuff was for Warcry - just also got AoS rules. They’ve now made a hard pivot since the first round of Warcry so that units do fit in with their armies.
  10. New FEC errata: https://www.warhammer-community.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/M5heIIzZW0qcKTA0.pdf
  11. Yeah mysterious terrain needs an overhaul. I like the double turn. I mainly play in leagues where I have taught people AoS and then try to get to two GTs a year. With two young kids, it’s a lot easier for me to take two weekends for AoS gaming a year as opposed to weekly or bi-weekly game nights. Like others who play a lot, I find taking the double turn is often worse than giving the turn away unless you truly need it.
  12. If this is about me, more or less fair. I used to play WHFB, dabbled in 40k once upon a time, and have looked into TOW. But AoS is the only tabletop game I’ve played regularly in the past 5 years. Like I said - it’s different for different people. I live in a small town in Michigan (US). People I’ve taught AoS to in my small town like the double turn. People in my larger region of West MI are 50/50. People in the state of MI are very pro double turn. I know this because there’s three sizable AoS clubs in the state, and I run into people from those clubs at GTs and RTTs. I’m also part of a Midwest (region in the US) gaming group that mainly plays AoS, Magic, and TOW that loves the double turn. My favorite YouTubers all enjoy the double turn. And I’d agree that most competitive players skip taking the double turn unless it guarantees their win - which is rare. Overall, doesn’t matter. It’s here for at least the next three years. Looking forward to having different things to discuss next week or when the next rumor drops 😂
  13. This just blows my mind. So many people like the double turn. I know there’s people who don’t, but generally it’s very well loved. Several of my friends told Matt as much at Adepticon.
  14. It’s pretty clear on here how so many people enjoy AoS in their own bubbles. My hyper local gaming group of mainly new players in the last year likes the double turn. My region generally is ambivalent about it - some like it, some dislike it. My larger gaming group loves it. At GTs, it’s generally loved. The biggest AoS YouTubers (Season of War, Honest Wargamer, Battleshock Wargaming, Warhammer Weekly) all like it. I chat with some hyper competitive people and they love it.
  15. AFAIK Matt only had a hand in writing the two most recent GHBs. The others were written by the previous team. I don’t like this one’s magic, but do like the battle plans. I loved the last one - the Galletian Champion one.
  16. This is sort of wrong. It’s been explained in places, but GW had stores order as much Dominion as they wanted, but then only sent a handful of copies while still selling them online themselves. They then sent the rest several months after launch. So the 3rd party stores got really hurt by that model as they got their copies after people wanted them. It was just awful. Source - a couple people who run hobby stores.
  17. That’s their interpretation of a vague vision where a Phoenix gets consumed by a dark cloud. I think it’s actually the doom of Phoenicium by Skaven.
  18. It was Alarielle’s ritual that awoke Kragnos and possibly the silent people. Still, I don’t see them getting an army. More silent observers.
  19. IIRC the line was vague enough that it could have something to do with the new Stormcast being death themed based on the rumors of Ruination Chamber and the direction of the Dawnbringers stories.
  20. So far, it seems to be Scarlet Doom lists that going 4-1 at tourneys since this change. Making Bladegheists more killy just means they’re able to eliminate whatever they touch. The Mannfred RoR also seems popular, as it should be.
  21. Models go out fairly early so people have time to paint them from what I know.
  22. They usually announce Dawnbringer shorts in the Sunday preview at the very end. I’d imagine they begin next week, however they could break the cycle of 5 with each.
  23. Poor Grimghasts become even less relevant.
  24. I don’t think launching a brand new game is at all the same as an index. Obviously all the models that came over got different rules for a completely different game.
