  1. This appears to have been addressed in the latest FAQ from 27/10/2022: Q: Can Nagash use his ‘Supreme Lord of the Undead’ ability to add 1 to the number of slain models that are returned to a unit even if the ability used did not successfully return any slain models to the unit? A: Yes
  2. Quick update on the Ogors, painted the metal armour and weapons today, ready to start highlighting the skin.

It's been a while, took a little break from painting (or got distracted by Civ6) but I've finally got back to it this week and finished off the morghasts and the characters, although I forgot prime Vokmortian's tombstone so I'll get that finished when I prime my next batch of miniatures. Speaking of, I'll be working on some Ogre reinforcements next, the new tyrant, 3 Bulls and 5 Ironguts, to round out my exisiting units and add a new Ironguts unit. Until next time.

Hello all, with 3rd Ed AOS just around the corner I've found myself motivated to get some hobby done and clear some of the pile of shame so that I can justify expanding an army or two, starting with the Ossiarch Bonereapers I've had sitting in a box since Feast of Bones released. A thematic approach to give some more flexibility would be to give katakros a rule that lets him (and only him) use RDP to issue command abilities from the main rulebook, he is meant to be a master tactician after all, or give an item/legion ability to choose a single command ability from the main rulebook to give a hero, e.g. change mortis praetorian Katakros Chosen ability to "choose one command ability from the main rulebook, this hero may use RDP to use that command ability", or give us a couple of extra army CA's in addition to Unstoppable advance. Guess it will have to wait untill our next battletome .
  7. I got a finecast ninja meaneater a couple of years ago and it wasn't as bad as i expected, due to ogors being larger models the pieces ar thicker and not as brittle as some finecast as a result. I think a couple of pieces did need bending in hot water to straighten them out. THat being said I'm planning to convert normal ogres into maneaters to expand the unit

Finishing the (small) ossiarch bonereapers force I have had sitting in a box since feat of bones, and a couple of heroes I picked up since, so I can justify expanding the army: 2x Morghast Vokmortian Mortisan Soulmason Mortisan Boneshaper If I get the above done I'll start rebasing my ogors onto round bases.
  9. Does anyone else think that ivory host would have been a lot more in interesting If it gave a +1 to wound bonus instead of +1 hit?
  10. You dont have to roll to wound and your opponent doesn't get to make saves against it, which is more of a sure thing th an the -2 rend d2, which could then be blocked by a saving throw, whilst doing the same amount of damage
  11. The +1 hit of the sickle is situational and there are several other sources of this buff in the army, hence I think the bludgeons are better with the mw output
  12. Also does Arkhan's command ability also increase the range that endless spells can be deployed in?
  13. @DioRa Good point with the carrion endless spell for arkhan. I am undecided on the crawlers myself, I feel they have great potential, particularly against hoard-type lists, and I like the idea of the battalion , but seems like too much of your army to tie up in one place and I agree they are sub-optimal for hunting most heroes with good armour, although for many support characters one lucky shot at damage 5 would either kill them or take them to one wound, ripe for an arcanebolt/terrain mortal wound ability to finish them off.
  14. What are people's thoughts on Arkhan? he seems like such a great utility piece, at a not unreasonable points cost, but is it safe to run without the protection of immortis guard (which in total is over 500 points) or would you expect him to be targeted and removed very quickly without them?

Not sure if this has been brought up yet but reading the wording on the Gothizzar harvesters warscroll, it says "roll a dice each time a model is slain within 3" of this model" Does this mean two gothizzar harvesters right next to each other would be able to each roll for the same casualty , effectively doubling the healing potential? I realise the short range of the ability probably makes this a moot point, but if not intended I would have expected the warscroll to read (or be FAQ'd ) to "roll a dice each time a model is slain within 3" of a friendly Gothizzar harvester"
