  1. How Will seraphon summoning work with their new battletome? Havent been able to find any information on it. And how powerful do people recon it Will be?
  2. @Emissary you say you only have to cast protection of nagash once? Does that spell last the entire Battle? 😮 that seems really powerful on a wizard...
  3. People have been writing alot about forced artifacts dye to subfaction. Does this mean you cant pick Artifact when going petrifex? And instead you have to use godbone armor? This forcing you to take a battalion in order to get the helm for the liege?
  4. Nice! How many sub-assemblies did you have to do to get it painted? I am still hoping a wraithbone undercoat with seraphim sepia shade Will work on those big surfaces.. but Will take me a while to get to painting that big hunk of a modell!
  5. And here I was sitting and thinking the harvester is by far the ugliest modell in the entire army. A bone-rat... If I only went for looks I would never have bought it, but I like what it does, so I bought one. Will start with one crawler and one harvester to see.. I havent built my crawler tet though.. i assume there Will be some subassembly for painting!
  6. Can one unit be picked more than once with that ability? So heal 6 wounds instead of 3, for example? Or is it rule of one?
  7. @Blitzdyeah, then I understood it correctly. Btw, when an ability says "friendly ossiarch bonereaper unit", does that include the one casting the ability? For example katakros and his supreme lord, or the heal ability of all The mortarchs? Can arkhan for example heal himself with mortarch of sacrament?
  8. It doesnt count for each of their weapons right? It only counts once per Battle round? Otherqise it would be stupid.. Not sure what constitutes an attack, but I assume that it is each round of Battle.
  9. IF you choose petrifex subfaction you get access to it. It Costs one disciplin point to cast and it does not stack so the same unit cannot be tsrgeted twice. Other than that you can use it with as many disc points you have available!
  10. The spell mortal contract states that it is for the rest of the Battle. How many mortal contracts can you have active at The same time? Can you just cast a new one on a new enemy every casting phase? Which basicall means at The end of a Battle you could have 5 of them active? That seems pretty trollish and fun, since it an automatic punish everytime the unit decides to fight..

  12. First the taget makes a save. IF save fails then you allocate wounds. And that is when soul bound protector kicks in.
  13. No, in a sword unit its not really worth it. The nadirite thing could be FAQed though, to make the greatsword i to nadirite weapons. But thats probably a few weeks off. Not to mention blade and shield is sooo much cooler!!
  14. Glaurung is being abit harsch! Its not a silly question. Command units count as having the same as everyone else, so it is fair to ask if special weapon options also count towsrds that. IF you take a look at The warscroll it says that the unit can have either of two weapon options: nadirite blade and shield or nadirite spear and shield. 1 in 10 can switch this weapon option to a greatsword. So they are actually switching blade and shield for the 2-hander, not just the weapon, but the weapon option mentioned above.
  15. @Scurvydog That's the guide I am following atm! But since corax white is not really the best option I am looking at changin corax white to Wrathbone, and that should work with Seraphim. You still get a yellower finish.. and it should still work with white highlights. I could just go with Skeleton Horde like you did and go with white highlights.. I think that would look cool also! Just not sure what would give the best results on bigger models, like say for example the Crawler (was planning on using the exakt same method and color scheme on that). Contrast from what I've experienced is not the best on big surfaces! But since I'm only after tinting it, perhaps the results wouldn't be all to dissimilar between contrast and shade.
  16. aah, okay! That should mean that wraithbone with seraphim Sepia shade should work.. I was planning on spraying corax white and Seraphim Sepia, but heard that Corax White wasn't very reliable in minus degrees (we have a few minus degrees here in the north of sweden), so was thinking if I could change the corax white into something else. And the bone you did looked really good. Might have to pick up skeleton horde, but was hoping for Seraphim Sepia to do the trick in order to save some money!
  17. Purpose of build: Fun / Economical - not needing to spend that much money on extra models Points: 2000 Presentation: The build will have a fair bit of spellcasting, but will lean towards one bigger block of morteks doing most of the heavy lifting. My build: Petrifex Elite Leaders: Arkhan Liege Kavalos (General, Helm of the ordained, command trait undecided) Bonemason (Reinforce Battle-shields) Boneshaper (Empower nadirite weapons) Units: 20 Mortek Guards 10 Mortek Guards 10 Mortek Guards 3 Immortis guard Behemoths Gothizzar Harvester Mortek Crawler Terrain, Endless Spells: Nexus (ofcourse) Soulstealer Carrion Bone-Tithe Shrieker Discussion: So, the idea is to have Arkhan fling spells and charge in when the fight demands it. Arkhan, Bonemason and Boneshaper should focus most of their spells on buffing and debuffing. Bone-Tithe Shrieker will be the primary cast, due to rule of cool. The Soulstealer Carrion is more for survivability, should Bonemason of Boneshaper need it. Otherwise the Boneshaper will be following one of the mortek Guard units and keep them topped off. The Gothizzard will follow the 20 guards and assist them in being the anvil while staying alive and deadly. The 10 mortek guards will be objective grabbers. Immortis guard is more of a "save money" kind of addon and the fact that I like them more than stalkers. However, I dont really know how to use them. Most likely they will be some sort of bodyguard for Arkan and the Bonemason to increase the length of how long they will be alive. The reason for adding bonemason and boneshaper is because I didn't think the battalion was worth 120 points, when you could get an other hero instead. This does increase the number of drops, yes. I am aware of that, and in my real list this would not be the case. The command trait for Liege Kavalos is undecided, mostly because I haven't found any info on them, and I dont have the book yet. The list is low on movement, so removing immortis guard for Deathriders could be beneficial, but again that would cost more money, so will have to wait. Battle Report: Hopefully soon to be added!
  18. Hi I've been looking over the forum and trying to find a place to post this, but haven't found one. In the OBR Discussions thread there are losts of lists and some battle reports, but they are hard to find, and many lists are also the same as the ones previously posted. This is an attempt to gather all the lists and also add some real facts to them with the battle reports. The idea of this thread is to collect army lists and battle reports to said army lists. You dont need to post a battle report to the lists you post, but if if you have played a battle with the list it's always a nice complement to get some comments on how it performed in combat. Also, the battle report could be added afterwards via the edit function. Posts between army lists and battle reports are ofcourse welcome, since discussion between people is healthy but do try to keep it informative and relevant. Posts that just add "I like that list" or "that list looks good" doesn't really do anything. Instead post why you like the list and why you think the list looks good. Feel free to post and let me know if there is anything missing that needs to be added to the model of posting. The model of posting would be like this: Purpose of build: Competitive / Thematic / Fun / Rule of Cool [Pick one or more, add your own if you feel you must] Points: The number of points the list is going to be Presentation: Present your build, very shortly. Your build: List your build, add all the info you feel is necessary. Command traits, artifacts, spell lore and what not. Discussion: Discuss your build and let people know why you have picked what you have picked and what your idea is. Battle Report: Who did you fight against? What happened? How did they perform? What would you have done different? Basically a continuation of the discussion part, but now with emphasis on what actually instead of what you thought would happen.
  19. Do you have what abilities caused these debuffs? i recon one is endless spell and the other terrain piece? But what else? Also, on a different note. Shield Wall, does that also affect deathless warriors save?
  20. I think it is because The nedirite blade thing doesnt yet apply to them. And IF you them use empower weapon they explode on 5+ and gets even better than greatsword. But for me its aestethics.. They just dont look as cool as sword and board!
  21. From what ive read in this thread that would be accurate. Liege kavalos gives 2, så katakros would give 5 automatically when he is in your army. Please correct me if I am wrong!
  22. My potential army list Leaders: Arkhan Liege kavalos (General) Soulmason Boneshaper Battleline: Mortek guard *20 (sword, no greatswords) Mortek guard *10 Mortek guard *10 Units: Immortis guard Behemoths: Crawlers Harvester Idea is to not having to spend too much money, so going for harvester instead of a second crawler. Also, I kinda like the idea of having the harvester following The 20 mortek guard and hopefully be a pain with some ressurects. Immortis guard to defend The casters so I can get more buffs and ressurects out. Arkhan for spellcasting and Liege kavalos hopefully for some extra damage. 20/10/10 Mortek because its The only thing that fits and I dont need to buy an extra box of them, so saving some money there. No greatswords on these, considering i dont like The aestethics of them! I prefer sword and board. CC is welcome! I already know The damage output could be a little short, but I am going more for a fun list than being competitive!
  23. So what does the math say about Mortek Guards and the greatsword? Is it better than the nadirite blade? Someone said it won't count towards the nadirite blade rule and that it might be FAQed. So I am kinda wondering how to build my 20 Mortek Guards.. Haven't decided if I should build tjhem as one block of 20 or 2 blocks of 10 (1 or two hekatos). And haven't decided if I should add my greatswords to the hekatos or not.. It kinda depends on whether it's better or not.. Looks wise I would say I want Hekatos with just a sword and board, but wondering if I am missing out on a lot of damage potential or if it's actually the beteter choice to use nadirite blade sicne you get 2 attacks on that and thus have a better chance of getting 6s.. Not sure I am making much sense, but any thoughts on the matter? And also, while I'm on the subject.. I assume no one (including the rules) would mind if I dont follow the paint scheme of the Petriflex Elite and still go with that subfaction? Since I like the purple and bone paint scheme more..
