  1. Thanks They were/are going to be Gypsies, sort of... Gypsies or Carnival Folk (basically AoS Halequins) from what i've read in this thread and on others, the only way it works is if you pick the best units from a general order army, then proxy/convert them to fit the Forest folk theme. so i was going to get a Celestial Hurricanum and make that into my "caravan", then expand from there... witch alves as war/shadow dancers, sisters of thorn/doomfire warlocks, etc basically, get a decent Mixed list, then think about which Wood Elf unit could represent which warscroll. i even toyed with the idea of using Stormcasts as Mercenary body guards, either as it or by using the elvan bloodbowl team! Ultimately i decided to go Undead, not exactly sure why, but it just caught and held my attention.
  2. For those of you that are interested.
  3. I have been piecing together some units whilst playing Path of Glory at my LGS, so far so good, my spare skeletons seem to mesh well with the old Glade Guard models. I wanted a Necromancer and the Wayfinder just had that look about him, i removed his bow and quiver, fitted him with a spare banner pole that has been trimmed down and i will be adding some skulls and extra fetishes to complete the look. Blood Knights are being represented by Sisters of the Thorn with Wild Rider weapons and helmets, this gives them a decently armour look without losing the elfness. i managed to get a lucky bag on ebay which contained about 40 Glade guard and 6 glade riders (but no horses) the riders are perfect for making Black Knights in the same theme as my warriors and thankfully the glade guard had a hand full of swords so i have enough for 20 skeleton warriors with swords and boards. Lots more chopping to do, but hopefully i will have these put together and base coated soon enough!
  4. I only say "dead" because of the nay sayers, but it inspired the idea If wanderers get some love I will revisit my "caravan of the golden stag" idea Thanks all, Got some glade guard (skeleton warriors) to show soon
  5. Sorry if this offends some of you but i started playing AoS Path to Glory and some how got sucked into the idea of doing death, since i already had Wood elves on the mind and since they are a "dead" army as far as AoS is considered... well ... Wanderers of the Dead ... or as i call them The Dead of Rhyran Reanimated Wood Alves who still retain their minds, they trudge on through the unlife defending what is left of Rhyran from the pestilence of Nurgle and any others that tread it's lands. i'll either be painting them in autumnal colours, Browns, Reds whilst making sure to do plaid flesh tones and various rots/moss growths.or painting them bright colours (as per the caravan idea) being that they want to prove they are still "alive" despite being quite dead. i am having trouble finding animal skulls, elks, deer, etc .. i see them all the time on miniatures but cant find a good supply of them Oh well, keep an eye out for more details...
  6. Thank you, this then settles that as the most cost effective way to get the Vargheists and Dragon for me.
  7. i'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but i am willing to bet you know the answer... The "Start Collecting! Flesh-eater Courts" , can you build the Terrorghiest as a zombie dragon and the Crypt Horrors as Varghiests?
