  1. Of course, and when a path to glory unit is from 150-250 points equivalent (even lower for characters), the small imbalances could be pretty easily forgiven. But when forces can consistantly be 2k points of stormcast to 800 points of sylvaneth that's not really justifiable. I talked to my local redshirt and he was pretty floored by it and said we'd adjust some of it if we run path to glory at our store.
  2. Has anyone noticed how unbalanced some of the path to glory tables are? Just compare Stormcast and Sylvaneth. Stormcast infantry table all has options for 10 liberators Mounted is 1: 5 gryph-hounds, 2-5: 2 dracoth riders 6: drakesworn templers. Hero options are 6 assorted heroes. General options are: Lord-celestant on foot + 7, drakoth + 6 or stardrake + 5. Sylvaneth infantry is 1-3: 5 dryads, 4: 5 revenants, 5: 5 spite revenants, 6: 3 kunoth hunters. Hero is 1-2: branchwraith, 3-4 branchwych, 5-6 treelord. General options are wraith/wych + 6 or Treelord anchient/durthu + 4 Am I missing something? I was really looking forward to path to glory with sylvaneth but the tables are just insulting. 5 drayds really?
  3. No forge world models, the AoS facebook page has said forge world will make points for their units in matched play. No time frame was given.
  4. Yeah direct from the book. Can't post pics of the book here but there's a few paragraphs on it. It's good they did a very catchall "reinforcement points" system rather than making summoning different.
  5. Any sort of spell or ability that creates a new unit will need to take from your "reinforcement points" when they are put on the battlefield. You can choose not to pay the points and forfeit the unit if you so choose. Any type of ability that summons models in a unit but not new units doesn't have to pay points, but you can't exceed the units starting size.

  9. We've heard rumors about 1. Army traits, 2. Artefacts, and 3. Warlord-trait style things for the general. How many of these are in matched play? Are any of them only victory bonuses? Any word on forge world unit points?

He hasn't been super active today but it'll do you way more good than posting here since he is remaining anonymous.
  11. Update: summoning isn't that bad " have confirmed that summoning works as I said yesterday. You pay points only for bringing new units to battlefield so undead are safe with their standards returning models previously slain in battle. Deep striking units are same as now. Rules like phoenix returning on a 4+ work as written, you dont pay summon points for bringing it back to life, its part of model cost you pay at the start. In addition to new Sylvaneth units there are also new units for orks and some renamed units for ogres in new yet unrevealed battletome"

So lets say you take 700 points on field and 300 points are "held in reserve: as summoning.You summon any unit within said 300 points limit later in game. Points are used for summon so no recycling. Armies build entirely of one Alliance are given extra rule. Generals can take 1 extra ability out of 6 predefined ones. Also there are 6 artefacts that can be taken by heroes at no additional cost.
