  1. Honestly I figured that was going to be the case. Swifthawks still exist in the lore. There was a Dawnbringers short about a Phoenix Guard. If anything I'm sure it will just be like the Sancrosact Chamber up and leaving the Realms. Aventis Firestrike's gonna either quit being magister of Hammerhal or retire from the field. Bonesplitters will become some... aspect of Greenskin culture that doesn't do any fighting. Beasts will continue to be irrelevant.
  2. Well I guess because I talked a lot about the possibility for like, a year that I'm one of the ****** he's talking about. Rejoice everyone, the Warcom article today is a hoax! Otherwise that guy would be a liar and nah, nah he wouldn't do that, right? (This post is made with humorous intent)
  3. I wouldn't like this. I mean, I'd be happy for everyone who is excited for Chaos Duardin. It's been a long time coming! I like beasts. I like my color scheme. I like the potential they had in AoS as a narrative force. My beasts weren't meaningless fodder for the human chosen of Chaos and I wouldn't enjoy them so much if they filled the same role in another Chaos army.
  4. I'm in the same boat. Most of my Battleline were Untamed Beasts and Iron Golems.
  5. I don't know that Warhound is in a position to give us that information. I think they just have some access to the 4e Starter, hence the fact they haven't been able to confirm or deny indices.
  6. Holy smokes, the Darkoath box might be releasing on my birthday? When I call my army "Whoops! All Darkoath!"
  7. In the novel Broken Honour, a Beastlord has some of his ungors build chariots to attack the approaching army. Then he kills the ungors because building stuff is gross.
  8. Music inspires me a great deal, so most factions I love has their own theme song I get into when I work on them. Something that just clicks when I listen. Beasts: In Maidjan, Heilung Daughters of Khaine: Villain, K/DA Sylvaneth: Halloweenie V (The Moss King), Ashnikko Slaves do Darkness don't have one yet, but I watch the Silent Hill movie while I paint them And most importantly, for Skaven: ALL of Hellbilly Deluxe by Rob Zombie!
  9. LIVE FOOTAGE OF MITGAS BEING BULLIED BY LUMINETH (My image edits are butt am I am proud of it)
  10. I like the Morghur side of Beastmen well enough, but I really feel the original vision. The design was, as I recall, meant to be reminiscent of the "barbarians" the Romans would speak of - unknown and "savage" peoples rushing from the woods to lay waste to the disciplined Roman legions. Mix that with the folkloric "beast beyond the firelight" vibe and you have my entire attention. If I was hired to design new Beastmen, I don't know what I would do. But I know I'd be blasting Heilung into my freaking brain until I did.
  11. I'm as amused by the Doko reacts as the next person, but I feel like calling them out like this is unkind. I wish you hadn't. We're just here to bump around like drunk moths looking for the light of each new rumor, my friend. We all do it different ways.
  12. You are correct, friend. Specifically the starter box, along with the Kurnothi.
  13. Something just occurred to me: if the Great Goat Genocide happened, I wonder what would happen to Grashrak's Despoilers. I don't know if you can even get them anymore off GW's website (I just looked, but I may have missed them). Hypothetically, would they be removed? Ported over to StD? If they were removed from AoS, would they remain in Underworlds?
  14. I apologize - I suppose I'm invested in this topic to the point of self-importance! Very sorry.
  15. I'd absolutely hate that. I love my goatmen and I love AoS. I'm pretty open-minded about range updates but I guess the current design is just special to me. Truthfully, I'd love to keep the current Gor (and friends) design in the main, but make them more feral. These are savage, wild creatures that stalk through the woods with the ease of a man on an open road. I just realized I just kinda supported your idea, in a way. Haha!
  16. If you mean me, I've been very open about how I have exactly no evidence. I even said a little while back that I don't even consider it a rumor, just an idea that's been floating around in my head. Even if it isn't directed at me, I'd hardly call it nonsense. I mean it's generating discussion. We all seem to be of an accord that no one would like the idea of Beasts dropping from the game. But back to the topic at hand: someone on Facebook (where no one lies) said that the Beasts Question was brought up at a Q&A at LVO, where it was answered that Beasts are definitely remaining in AoS. That's a lot of acronyms. But can anyone confirm this rumor?
  17. I've been talking about the Beasts removal for ages, but I want to throw in my opinion: this isn't even a rumor. It's been thoroughly unsupported by anyone aside from Rob, and to date Whitefang the Wise (Wisefang ha) hasn't addressed it at all. Is it worth discussing? Sure, we all care about this game and it's direction. Is this possibility going to stop me from pooping in the woods and bleating at the moon? Hell nah.
  18. Narratively, GW seems to have filled the "threat from the dark, untamed wilds" with Kruleboyz. They even had a teaser image about eyes shining from the dark woods or something. I like Kruleboyz just fine but when they revealed the image was for a new breed of orruk and NOT new Beastmen, I said a bad word or two. They don't even have horns. Losers.
  19. This is exactly how I feel! I know Morghur is popular but Malagor has always been my favorite, ever since I read his fluff about an Imperial town waking up to find his hoof prints all through the snow, over walls, onto roofs, et cetera. The reference to the Devil's Footprints legend pleased me.
