The Rumour Thread
Thalassic Monstrosity replied to The Jabber Tzeentch's topic in Age of Sigmar Discussions
A few pages ago there was mention of possible new Spider Riders. Was there anything substantial behind that or just wishful thinking? -

"Gaslighting" is a strong term to use for a game about toy soldiers. I mean I don't really give a hoot about how people choose to phrase their thoughts - how can anyone truly consider themselves The Authority over personal expression? That's just how I feel about it. I won't push the point since I know that's my stance and all. No need to bring it into the AoS Rumor Thread. Just something I feel should be pointed out. -

They got an update earlier this year, their only new model was the Akhelian Thrallmaster. Is that what you were wondering? -

All are in the thrall of the Great Changer! -
It means they didn't include a keyword that's esentially irrelevant for the purpose of Arcane Cataclysm. I'm sure we're fine for Tzaangors for a while still.

I hope a Tzaangor flock will be reasonable this time around. I love those funky wizardbirds. I'd be pleased if they got a subfaction, too. -

There haven't been any Seraphon rumors, have there? I mean other than the same sort of rumors we've been hearing since 2015 or so. None of the rumormongers have said anything as far as I can remember. -

I can't believe you said "Mod Hat" instead of "Tyrant Gutplate". -

The Rumour Thread
Thalassic Monstrosity replied to The Jabber Tzeentch's topic in Age of Sigmar Discussions
I look at WFB and AoS the way I look at Forgotten Realms and Planescape (for those familiar with the settings). WFB is thoroughly detailed, with defined characters, history, and culture. It's a setting that's been pretty well set (though obviously there ARE still some holes, like most of the East). You know what is and isn't likely to happen in the Old World. AoS is open, with guidelines rather than set locations and history. It's a setting where magic is extremely commonplace and a fact of life. "Normalcy" can vary wildly from location to location and story to story. They're two very different settings and styles. I think WFB is a strong setting, and AoS is a flexible one. I like AoS because I have a lot of creative free reign with my army's background, and that's something I value a lot. Conversely I totally get why it doesn't work for other people (though I'm not saying people who don't like AoS are uncreative!). The setting doesn't feel alive, or lived-in, the way WFB did. We have the freedom to fill in the blanks, but that's because blanks still exist for us to fill in. @Ragest I totally agree that we need more ground-level characters. Hopefully GW will be leaning into that in the future: we've gotten Gardus Steel-Soul as a model after the Hallowed Knights books and have two new BL characters getting models soon. I hope this means they'll be focusing a little more attention on well-defined characters as the narrative moves forward. -

That would be nice. I think it's optimistic to expect anything but I guess I'm naturally doubtful about Beasts getting love from GW. An Avatar or Eidolon or Aspect of Morghur would be lovely. I would love any characters actually, anything that gave the true children of Chaos more of a narrative presence. -
I wonder if Treevenants will have 2 Wounds?

It's the current range, I assure you.

Silence, firewood! I jest. Skaven and Sylvaneth are both very dear to me and I want to hear as much as I can about both. -
It's like he made a wrong turn in the warrens and found where all the inbred, extra-mutant, extra-cannibal Skavenbillies are. "The Hills Have Eyes-Eyes"

Agreed! I had very low expectations so every reveal just sent me further and further over the moon, haha!

Me: "Okay, GW. All I want is Tree-Revenant archers. That's all I'm asking for." GW: "Best I can do is Tree-Revenant archers, but with those bug jetpacks you love so much." Me: "I- what?" GW: "Plus dragonfly cavalry. And the Lady of Vines gets a model." Seriously though, this was an amazing reveal and I'm so thrilled!

How funny would it be if this was exactly what it was and you were just leaking it? I'd laugh my face off and immediately buy like, three kits.
