  1. Yes… if taken, he get the SBGL keyword and with it the Lineage keyword, too. Tricky thing is, that he doesn’t have the VAMPIRE keyword, which is needed for a lot of dynasty abilities, actually the only one he can use is the LoN ambush.
  2. Looks mean 🤩 not quite sure if flank protection and stuff for Nagash might not be better done by wolves (instead of skellis)… but I lack the experience vs Mooohoooo cows

Sorry to kill the hype… Nagash is not a VAMPIRE so he does not get the avengorii traits, since they need a VAMPIRE MONSTER same with vyrkos reroll to cast for him&necro keywords in the WH AoS App are a bit concerning, since the VloZd only has the keyword VAMPIRE LORD, while R. the beast has VAMPIRE and VAMPIRE LORD as keywords 🧐thx GDubs 😵‍💫 it‘s „only“ the App, where Nagash can still MysticShield Spam 🤪but still gotta check

That’s why my brilliant list came with Radukar the beast and wolves 😎 But the dilemma is real, you want to bring knights and guards, but can only afford wolves and rabble 😅 But wolves are tanky and kinda decent during charges, mobile… of course double knights in kasteleii sounds funky wightking with necromancer with Guards are also cool. but it is a tricky conundrum nonetheless
  5. I beg to differ, 1k Soulblight might be a bit tricky with battlelines, but gives a bunch of different approaches. in my casual environment I find it tricky to actually field him without people being reluctant to play
  6. Not sure if I like the idea of zombies… if they get the alpha, they are probably brutal, wrapping around the whole model activating twice. But getting charged by a lord on stonehorn? There won’t be much left to activate 🤨

Not sure about the dynasties… Nagash gets the sbgl keyword and then also the lineage keyword… dangerous half-knowledge of faq&rules, also he is no Vampire, careful reading is needed (see avengorii hype down below) Radukar is always Vyrkos Legion of night with the claw so only snake eyes can trouble Nagash. The necro could even ambush with the skellis 🤪if one feels adventurous (+1 save) and since GW can’t Math they could even score 12“ side objectives… Vyrkos don’t feel it, but with Radukar and wolves… at least +1 to wound , as trait summoning more wolves more bodies could be good. and maybe the banner to steal CP, if going against LRL/LoC maybe the clock for unbind (-1 to cast once) legion of blood…missing vampires, but extra d3 battleshock might be nice for the blood knights and some artifacts are interesting for the necro, if a bloodthirster charges in (orb) kastelei… since the necromancer is the general 🥳and only one unit of knights: nothing to avengorii… yes, well, with all the gheists BUTTT…Nagash is a Monster 😱 but not a vampire 😔 in Order of liking: vyrkos for 5 extra wolves Night for ambush blood for battleshock knights kastelaii for evolving knights avengorii for fairness
  8. Nagash, Radukar, Necromancer Bloodknights, Wolves, 2x10 Skellis spell portal 1980… Nagash with the wolves, Radukar with the blood knights. Whatever charges will benefit from Bonepopes CA and Radukas (+1Attack CA)… and Radukar gets 10 wolves for free Necromancer looks flabbergasted at the carnage, maybe vanHalen for puppies
  9. Haven’t played against them yet, but „yes“… blood knights are solid tanks and with riders of ruin very mobile. Can’t overrun the ogors, but could fly over your own guards or wolves. 20 guards are a mean blender with a wightking and a Necromancer, but they are also kinda brittle. If they get shot to pieces by leadbelchers the real trouble are probably the big bois, with all the save and healing, they could be a real pain to deal with.🧐 Double dragon / vhordrai might do the trick, luckily the snowball got nerfed. belladamma is still nice, the „killing moon“ exploding 6s. but I really like raduka, for his +1 attack for SB within 18“. Together with a unit of bloodknights or guards, things could get messy quick.

No worries, but after watching that YT thing… maybe just stick to contrast paint dipping nighthaunt 🤣 maybe as an idea: double crab 🦀 not to belittle your efforts 😅 (vhordrai&vlozd), wightking (first mate, general?), Necromancer (doctor with hacksaw) double drowned zombies, sea dogs (20 guards) Double fell bats and one unit of shark/eel riding vampirates 1985pts 20 guards with the wightking (rr1) can really dish out the pain, in the age of monsterhammer, two dragons sound like a nice idea.
  11. Sounds legit… discussed that yesterday too. The big pieces forces the other player to go for objectives and feed things into the blender, which is not much fun. In a causal journeyman setting, a lot of things turn out to be oppressive and broken to play against. Frostlord snowball one shotting support heroes was great fun… same goes for eels. But I guess others complain about every slain flayer just coming back for feeding frenzy or bloodknights just leaving combat to charge again…

Sadly I was not yet able to get myself the „Hyshian Treatment“ ————————————————————— got my first game in and have to say I liked what I saw… Vyrkos vengorian, Belladamma, Radukar the beast, necro, vamp lord 3x5 Bloodknights, 2x10 wolves, 10skellis played against slaves to darkness: be‘lakor, lord on karkadrak, sorcerer, sorcerer on manticore, warshrine, 10 chosen, 10 Warriors, 5knights and a chariot Lost pretty hard, due to positioning and early double turn with Radukar not doing anything, because Be‘lakor said so… but against normal damage, the knights and the vangorian are rock solid, with finest hour mystic shield and all out defense. When to choose what still needs a lot of refining (forgot rally), but a unit of knights with belladammas spell stomped be‘lakor into the ground (barely but still)… movement phase and positioning in a mobile list needs polishing, with the terrain and enemies, wolves and knights are tricky to shuffle around. can‘t wait to get my revenge

  14. Mine will fancy the sangoryn today… I don’t have reliable experience (1.game), but watching YT batreps a lot of were surprised how tanky Vengorians are. With ignore rend and shield or defense you should be able to keep him pretty save. Not sure if the extra ward is needed… if your opponent has a lot of MW-output, might be

Can’t wait to get the first game with SBGL in… probably will be a disaster 🤣 as a strapping young lad of 41 of highest education 🥳 I also think the variety of rule sets that matter are tricky to grasp/remember. AoS started with the warscroll and 4 (four)! pages of rules… Now you have 44 pages of rules, your warscrolls, the Generals Handbook, your battletome and they all have FAQs and designers commentary, all of them not very concise in their wordings and mechanics and maybe 18 month of lockdown with a new edition is enough to secure a rough start 🤓 even for the streamers… Slow and steady 🥃🥳👍
  17. Yes, probably… I don’t know about the current meta , just got the book last week. Haven’t played any tournaments yet, nor will I by the looks of it any time soon. But to get back to the original topic, your tournament list should field the necessary amount of wizzards, Nagash be damned (sry boss) stupid teclis and the toad. One should probably have a plan B (something you don’t have with Nagash) for facing those lists, but what else you‘re supposed to do?

Nagash can die very easily to a gristlegore terrorgheist with feeding frenzy 🤔 alariell without ward, yes, probably also killable by GkoTg , like everything else except morathi … i fully understand the feeling of an oppressive god-tier character, but imo alariell is up there, maybe not kroak style, but I hated her 😅 so ymmv my Nagash gets god-complex and run over by big stabbas

I did not mean effortlessly wiping off the table, but crippling in his oppressive power <9hp or outplaying Double reinforced Skinks with poison 5+ or lumineth sentinels, celesta ballistas or raptors🤔 heartrenders Mortal shooting or strong high rend shooting softens him up pretty good 6 Bloodcrusher charging , gristlegore terrorgheist munching, Skarbrand, morrsarr eels… Remember, you‘re dealing with half the army, even 20 zombies could just facetank him, his melee is swing&miss. 10 more wolves and your 250 points will hold the objective for 3-4 rounds, while the rest of your army scores and devours his poor scraps…

Nagash wreathed in 8 bolts is pretty scary, but then he is out in the open… and probably crushed a turn later. but I think it is just one of those AoS unfairness, that is kinda baked into the system. Rock, scissors, wet noodle. If your opponent can hard counter your strong, you‘re done for… Fighting against bastillodons without rend?! getting eeled? getting your buff magic noped by bullies Getting your Horde kroaked? and as stated before, adjustments to tone down some evil outliers might cause a ripple through all the other armies, probably resulting in the next cheese lord rising.
  21. How does he do that? And how does he win while doing that? I had a nice bolt-action list with Nagash in 2.0, but the damage output was/is weak, considering he is 1/2 your army on moving 9“… and of course 16hp with 3+(rr 1)/6++ or mw 4++ is kinda tough against normal damage, but not unkillable. and his back up is 1k of Soulblight Kroak and Teclis are on another level, just because they do the same thing with 2/3 the resources. And can shut down my FEC buffs with a smile… same goes for Tzeentch LoC maybe redesign the unbinding as suggested above is a good way to get what you paid for without getting hard countered in some matchups… 12“ range, for gods & kroak maybe 18“ (24“) so you‘ll have to get them into the thick of it to deny buffing spells… and by doing so getting their unfair heads chopped off… also please unbind prayers in 12“ 😝 take that bloodboil spammers
  22. More Mixing throughout a GA, sounds great…😓 from my own experience as LoNagash player, the issue seems to be tricky. Nagash was reasonably priced in LoN with 750-800, of course I liked 750 better but I digress. Arkhan was pretty cheap for his casting, but fragile Morghast were expensive and not really used, except for LoNight Ambush and some special occasions, bravery bomb or fluff/fanboy lists… then came OBR, Petrifex-Nagash a new abhorrent cheese, Arkhan another power house, Morghast not as good as other options, but suddenly not 20% overpriced anymore. Big Daddy spiked to 880, Arkhan from 280 - 320 and Morghast stayed (iirc) 220… with NO ADDED POWER IN LON Well Arkhan or Nagash could now heal Morghast in LoN due to keyword mess up, but in reality a big hit for them in LoN Why not two warscrolls and two point costs in the ghb? Cause GDubs don’t care whose tears are falling… sooo good idea, but involves some serious risks for both teams
  23. 16hp 3+, the automated healing is over 9000, the 24“ 6dmg spear? model can retreat and shoot/charge, with battering ram? Casts 3 spells, with the cast bonus cheese? All the big models are a bit wonky, Nagash could rolfstomp your whole army or get shot off the board turn 1-2
