  1. Yes, you can place whatever on whatever except other models however you like. This is how simplified the rules for it are and that feels wrong because it's stupid and lazy design. You can even put a Forge World gigantic Khornate dragon on the tip of this statue's sword and that would be legal within the rules.
  2. Here, I hope this illustrates the point EDIT. Man, that would be a sick "Smooth Criminal" charge
  3. It wouldn't even engage models on the ground in melee
  4. I said he would need to make a higher roll for a succesfull charge in this situation
  5. You absolutely can. This particular command ability created a list type called "Gav Bomb"
  6. They can stay on it and it is not required for a model to be able to physicaly stay somewhere without falling
  7. He would need more than 9" to make it there. Here's why: We know that to get into combat he needs to get withtin 0,5" of clanrats. Because of climbing mechanic I think it is valid to place him on the other side of the wall, his base almost perpendicular to the table. Than, based on movement rules here He would need to roll enough to get the furthest point of his base over the wall. IMO that is the only way you can make this charge since you can't stand on top of enemy models nor he will get into 0,5" of clanrats by standing on the wall.
  8. I did a metallic zenital for my Celestial Lions space marines and it does look good. But than I'd reccomend creating shadows also with airbrush (I used some Druchi Violet for that after all metallics) Also never had any problems airbrushing GW paints.
  9. Everything stays, you save the model from being slain, not replaced the slain one with new one with 1 wound remaining.
  10. It's very unfortunate that both of those are skirmishes, I own models for both but don't have the drive to play any games (also our Malifaux community is dying since the new edition) low model counts just don't cut it.
  11. Only for the cheapest to buy troops. It gets bearable as FEC only if you are a madman and plan to collect full megabattalion (Royal Court) than you need exactly 3 big courtiers - which is 1 full box. But when you just start this army it really sucks
  12. I will second that you need Flow Improver (of any kind) to dilute your paint, but it's okay to do it even with water. Next thing you should know is that every paint is different and it need's to be diluted with different amount of other liquid. What you've got on your models is called "speckling" - that means your paint dries too fast, the opposite is "splattering" when paint is too diluted and it gets pushed around the surface by air from your airbrush. That just means you need to add more flow improver or more paint and get the right consistency. Every time you paint with an airbrush you should test how your paint flows by blowing it onto a piece of plastic or sprue to see if you got the right consistency, you should also use the same PSI (air pressure) when you work with paint, find something you get good results with and mark it on your compressor. And you can go with higher pressure for primers and highest when you clear your airbrush or use varnishes. Few notes on inks - I personaly never dilute Vallejo inks - they already have a great flow, and I reccomend varnishing your inks before you move on because it can sometimes easily rub off by fingers or a brush. Also here is a good video
  13. First I agree - order matters. Second - you can at least cast Empower twice from this unit, just bring along some sequitors/evocators that will benefit from it.
  14. I hope we get a new one this year, but I'm afraid that GW won't move a finger to help older models out - instead they will give us new shiniest toys that will be good untill next power-creeped battletome whille at the same time pushing old units into the abyss of complete uselessness. Than we enter times of misery like right now waiting for this cicle to begin anew as our models collect dust. We still have 3 chambers to go before GWs will need a new way to torment SCE players. Yes, overly dramatic tones were necessary.
  15. No it's not. Lores of Magic are part of Allegiance Abilities and warscrolls never have ties with those, ever.
  16. About level of competetiveness: Stormcast have so many option they can adjust to pretty much any level whille retaining thematical appearance.
  17. In matched play you simply don't choose new general
  18. Around 2010 or 2011 I played Dawn of War Dark Crusade and also a boy from my school got some miniatures of orks and space marines (good ol' Assault on Black Reach) so my friend (who also played DoW at the time) and I got hooked, got our first models, started painting and playing. I was 12 or 13 at the time. I like the hobby for the cool looking models and epic over the top lore. Obviously I love the gaming aspect as well. I tried to introduce my little brother who was 10 at that point to warhammer because he liked the models and some pieces of lore I told him, but when I gave him a build and paint set of Stormcast Sequitors for his birthday it became apparent that he doesn't have enough patience for this hobby. Sigh. Also I know a man who's older daughter picked up the painting aspect of the hobby and really enjoys it. I haven't really looked in Warhammer Adventures since I have no reason to do so and because most of local community don't have kids and at least half are in their twenties all attention those books got was "Lol PG-rated Warhammer" jokes.
  19. It will be Ironjaws. They've got a good battletome, they don't have that many units to choose from, they are as straightforward as it gets gameplay-wise - just run over your opponents. On the other hand Stormcast and Legions demand more experience from a player to build a good list and succesfully use it.
  20. But I might have influenced someone to re-think how they approach their losed games. We might not have solid data to draw conclusion from, but we certanly can solve the problem without it. Houserule priority rolls out of your local games or swallow it if you want to be competetive player and get better at the game.
  21. On the back, they look more badass like that. EDIT: It may also be easier to pull off if you decide to put them on Lieges with their capes covering the saddle
  22. They are really good and will ruin many people's days, but certanly not OP. They don't have that good threat range, they will always get dictated if they go first or second, once you get that one "Gotcha!" game on your opponent they will bring counters. Also even though the math looks good, you won't be able to concentrate it first turn, nor you will be able to reach with every chariot first turn. Now this list looks much, much better. I'd like to hear how your games go and wish you happy painting all that.
  23. If you like the models then just go for it! However it will take time to find balance in power between SCE and whatever armies your opponent's might bring so better brace yourself. If those opponents will be your friends - you'll figure something out so your games will bring mutual enjoyment.
  24. I haven't tried Ethereal+Cogs in 2k game, so my experience with it is limited to Meeting Engagements. Gryph feather is, imo, the best all-rounded pick since it affects both shooting and melee, but it's also good in my local meta because we have a good representation of both melee and missle threats. I'd say Doppelganger and Ragged cloaks are more situational picks, like if you constantly run into Slaanesh, Sylvaneth and Idoneth for Doppelganger, or Free Cities, KO and Anvilstrike for Ragged. Heart I think is a wasted artefact because I'd rather bring a GKoZD and have those rerolls anyway. Haven't used Grim Garland because I haven't yet painted Horrorghast and enough Flayers to terrorise opponet's troops in 2k games. I consider Sword of Judgment more of a meme weapon when taken in FEC, sometimes I take it on Arch Regent in smaller games and he reliably kills any hero or monster that's not a Keeper of Secrets.
